Forgive me, as it is still early and I'm sitting here stuck in gridlock, peak hour traffic on my way to work, which means I'm going to be extremely late for work, thus not having the time to find Nitu or Amal's brilliant posts to read and reply.
So, instead I'm sitting here in the sweltering heat, typing this out on a friends (who is driving) laptop, only to copy and paste once I get to work....that is if time permits me to do so. š
Hi guys,
So in the hopes of not repeating anything said, here goes my humble take of yesterday's episode.
Yesterday's episode was, in one word, mind-blowing!!!!
Stunning scenes, brilliant acting, amazing dialogues, not to mention the sparks between Angad and Kripa.
Shabir....well, in a short time I have developed and affinity for him, one that, though it will never take Josh's place in my heart, a space has been made for him.
When reading the initial updates about him....drinking, womanizing, Angad wanna-be, I thought he would be a hindrance. Instead he has turned out to be a Godsend for Angad. He is a man who has a strong conviction in Angad's innocence and when through much to prove said innocence, despite Angad giving up hope when found guilty of his best friend's murder.
Simone gained some reprieve, though slight, in my books, by feeling guilty enough to realize that Angad going to jail for a crime he did not commit, just because she seeked revenge, would be an injustice.
My, my.....how the tables have turned in this issue. Simone saving Angad, despite being hurt by him, whereas Kripa was willing to let him rot in jail for....well, for being hurt by him!!!
Unfortunately Simone didn't reveal Prithvi's identity, leaving that snake to continue slithering around, free to cause more problems in the future. SIGH!, how nice it would have been to see Angad walk out of jail as free as a bird, passing Prithvi, being led in shackles into jail....if only.
Kripa, sitting in an empty, barren room, staring at Angad's pics, thinking of happier times, only to set his pictures alight.....same as Angad did with her pictures when he thought she betrayed him....difference....Angad was broken, but fury reigned, whereas Kripa was just broken.
The sindoor, be it in lipstick or powder form, was a symbol of their commitment....How appropriate that Kripa flings the sindoor at Angad once again, with such finality, to indicate the ending of their relationship....it was heart-wrenching to watch as Angad, eyes almost as red as the sindoor on his face, just stands there watching Kripa walk out of his life.
The final scene was.....WOW!!!
Angad lying on his mat, staring sightlessly at the ceiling, turning to see Kripa walk towards him, only to turn away in disinterest.....ouch no 1!
Kripa was full of arrogance, spouting nonsense about Angad's faults, his ways, about trust in love, saying that him being in jail was now his lot in life....
Only to have Angad (and this is where Angu baby had me), yell STOP IT!!!, leaping up from the floor, eyes ablaze with the fury of old Angad who we all love, blasting her from here to kingdom come.....telling her that he's in jail not because of Josh's murder but because he loved her, that he felt sorry for himself for loving her....ouch no 2!!
At that point Kripa was on the back foot, shocked, slightly cowering at Angad's blast of fury, and the thing going through my mind was that if this is how she reacts while he's behind bars unable to do anything, then God help her when he's out in full force revenge mode....Actually no one, not even God will be able to help her then.
The final nail in the coffin of Angad and Kripa's relationship was when he told her that he's willing to serve his term in jail, biding his time to extract revenge on her pyar ki bewafaai....ouch no 3!!!
And to all the Angad lovers the most defining sign that old Angad is back: the snapping of his fingers with his oh-so-furiously-arrogant "OUT!!, I don't ever want to see your face again!", despite him being behind barsā¦..YIKES!!!
The last scene had me sniffing into my tissues at the demise of Angad and Kripa's relationship (not their love, for that will live on, onto eternity), but on the other hand I'm on tenterhooks at the return of "Attitude Angad" (Thanks to Sangeeta for the description).
Here's the problem I have with calling Angad "Zeb". In S.A we have a household product called "Zeb oven cleaner"....see where I'm coming fromā¦..I cannot and will not call Angad that, as all I think of when I read or here that name is said household product. š
Oh well, even after this long post, I'm still in traffic, though it is flowing more smoothly then it was when I started this.....God only knows when I'll post this....if ever. š
Yikes, I just looked at the time, sorry for posting soooo late, it seems rather insignificant now, doesn't it.....oh well!
Luv
