The story so far…

Akshat (Chaitanya Chaudhary) slapped Charu (Surveen Chawla) in a scene in Kahiin To Hoga, for faking her accident, to win his sympathy.

Since the past few episodes, Charu has been despondent because her lover Akshat, has decided to marry Kashish (Aamna Sharrif) since he wants to save brother Sujal's (Gurpreet Singh) property from getting by Swayam (Vikaas Sethi). The scene was telecast last Monday.

Her left eye began swelling up

But the actor got so carried away during the shooting of the scene that he smacked Surveen with much more intensity than needed. The actress went reeling across the room.

According to an eyewitness present, "It was during the second or the third take that the incident happened.

After the resounding slap, the actresses' left eye developed a swelling, and it was so bad that it showed on camera, and they couldn't shoot her in that state. "The shot was being filmed near Kamat's Club in Goregaon.

Surveen did not shoot the next day

Post that, we hear Surveen threw a huge tantrum on the set. Another source added, "The injury was really not that bad, Surveen overreacted. And she made such a scene that the director was forced to call for a pack-up." Surveen did not shoot the next day.

I miscalculated the distance between us

When contacted, Chaitanya said, "It was an accident. They had asked her to come closer than I thought she was, and I could not estimate the right distance.

My fingers hit her below the eye, and I guess, even some portion of the eye was hit." But the actor refused to comment on whether the injury was so bad that it demanded Surveen to make the atmosphere on the sets very tense and cause a pack-up.

A slap for lying

Surveen, apparently embarrassed that she had created an unnecessary scene, dismissed off the incident.

"Nothing of that sort happened. I would appreciate if you call me tomorrow morning, because right now I am in Delhi." But when we called, her cell was unavailable.

Chaitanya and Surveen share great chemistry on screen. Off screen too, they were said to have romantic feelings for each other. It would be interesting to watch if their relation develops friction after the resounding slap.
