guys i think you would like it. the FORMAL/ OFFICIAL news from KTH. SORRY for posting it late ANYWAY. Its for those who still got confusion about Rajeev Decision to leave Kahin To Hoga. its very much clear that Rajeev is not leaving KTH. AND GUYS DO COMENTS ON THIS PLEASE.

Rajeev not to quit 'KTH'

The heart throb is staying on in Kahiin To Hoga. Fans should be delighted.

Remember we told you that miracles do happen on Indian television and Rajeev Khandelwal's in-out story may end with one? Well, it's just happened that way. Giving in to fans' requests, pleas and demands India's hottest television hunk has decided to stay put as Sujal in the multiple award winning late night Star Plus success Kahiin To Hoga. In a hush-hush patch-up in the late hours of Friday, Balaji and Rajeev Khandelwal resolved their differences.

Whether the script has been altered to suit his image and convenience or he has agreed to toe the line of his tough task-master, we still do not know.

When contacted, Ekta Kapoor's trusted lieutenant Nivedita Basu said, "Rajeev has changed his mind. We had never asked him to go. It was he who wanted to leave. It was he who said he wants to come back."

Kapoor confirmed, "Last night (Friday), he sent me an SMS saying that he wished to continue. I messaged him back that it was his show and he was welcome."

After Rajeev had declared to the media that it was all over, Balaji Telefilms had soon got into the act of finding a replacement. At one point of time, Kapoor told us, "I am doing all-India auditions to get my new Sujal. He will be on air from 1 January, 2005."

Last heard, India's biggest production house was looking at Pawan Shankar to step into Rajeev's shoes. Shankar plays the title character of Siddhanth (Star One). He also features in ads like Reid & Taylor with Amitabh Bachchan, Fiat Petra and TVS Centra. Apparently, Rajeev pressed the 'Hold on, I am coming back' button just in time.

An insider from Balaji Telefilms was of the opinion, "If Rajeev ditches Balaji on KTH, Star will never work with him again." One wonders if it is precisely that which brought Rajeev back into the Balaji fold.

Seems, Rajeev is off-press, at least for now. Repeated calls on his mobile failed to evoke a response.

We hope that the patch-up is for keeps.

My birthday - 18 April

I am superstitious about - chappals lying on the road

If Kashish proposed to me - I would say no!

If I were Sujal - I wouldn't get to smile at all on screen!

Sexiest woman on TV - not seen one as yet

I love - my parents & being myself

My passion - cars

Most embarrassing moment - falling flat on my face in front of giggling girls when I was trying to impress them

Most memorable moment - the day I completed my MBA

Something I would die for - a Ferrari

An honest confession - I am the same as you see me on screen

Idea of romance - sitting in a tea stall with the girl I love when it's raining and eating Vada Pao

My all time accessory - my kada

What I never learnt - acting, which came naturally to me!

I cook - bhurji very well

If I had not been an actor - I would be working with an advertising agency as a group account head

The first thing I do after getting up - find a wash basin

The last thing I do before going to bed - switch off the TV

When 29-year old aspiring actor Rajeev Khandelwal (Sujal Garewal of Kahiin Toh Hoga) came to Mumbai from Jaipur with a suitcase full of dreams, little did he know that he would soon become a teenage heartthrob.

Before stepping onto the small screen, this chemistry graduate was a documentary filmmaker and writer. Excerpts from a chat with one of small screen's big stars...

Childhood dream
Though I love writing I had always wanted to be an actor. In Delhi there was not much scope to realise my dream, so I was writing and making documentaries. I am not someone to sit and let life pass me by. I kept myself occupied and waited for the right break

First break
Kahiin Toh Hoga. It was an open audition. I auditioned amongst 500 others and was selected. It was quite tough initially, as I had no clue about acting. I am a normal actor, not a great one. 👏

Since I know direction I knew exactly what the director wants, but performing in front of and behind the camera are two different things. But I worked hard, lived and breathed the character on and off the sets, and slowly it started working.

On being a heartthrob
It's unbelievable! I still can't digest that I am one. I feel like I am living in a bubble that will soon burst. But I take it with a pinch of salt. It's my character that's working, that's all. In college I would get excited about girls, and now it's just the opposite. 😃

Comparison to Kakka
I have been told that I remind people of Rajesh Khanna. On the sets they tell me jokingly that I am imitating him. But I don't, not even sub-consciously. I would be flattered if I can generate the kind of hysteria he did in the 70's but apart from that, I want to be myself.

Sujal and I
Sujal and I are two totally different people. There is just one similarity: we are both very passionate about whatever we do. I am an ordinary, simple, boy-next-door who has some attitude in life. I haven't changed with success, the people around me have. Yes, I am a very romantic person😉 — the candlelight dinner type.

More serials
I want to concentrate on doing just one serial at a time. I cannot do more than one character at the same time, at least right now. I have been here for just a year, give me some time. I have been getting lots of offers. But I don't want to do B-grade films. All that I am being offered are Sujal extensions. I want to do something bigger.

Co-star Aamna Sharif
I don't have a girlfriend. Aamna (Kashish in Kahiin Toh Hoga) is a wonderful person and a good friend, that's it. When I went to some dandiya events, everyone kept asking me the same question: when am I getting married. It got embarrassing.

Marriage
Not for the next two years. I can't think of marriage right now. I want to focus on my career. I can't afford a girlfriend right now — I have no time!

Ideal woman
A pretty woman outside and inside. I want someone who will give me space. One look at my eyes and she should understand what I am feeling.

Ekta is the creative director and founding force behind Balaji Telefilms , which created 23 of the top 50 TV shows in India First woman entrepreneur to receive the coveted E&Y Start-up Entrepreneur
of the Year awarded in India She's been names one of the 50 most powerful communicators in Asia
by Asia week magazine.
If entertainment is Queen of the ICE age, Ekta Kapoor is the princess. Not all fairy tales have an easy start€there is a struggle after which the hard work pays off. That is Ekta Kapoor's life. Despite a family that was into films, the thought of facing the camera never interested her. The concept of being behind the camera however intrigued her. When she would tell people about her ideas and what she aspired to do, she would watch the interest in their eyes dwindle. That did not deter her, but it certainly made her strive to get back to some serious work and prove her capabilities.
The daughter of Hindi movie star Jeetendra, Ekta is the creative director for the family-run 'Balaji Telefilms'-a TV Production Company that has seen its share of struggles and a meteoric rise in the past years. The seven-year-old company has moved from clocking 8.5 programming hours in January 2000 to 33 hours in January 2001.
Ekta is a confident young woman who knows exactly what she wants. "Of course I am moody and I yell at my staff. If I don't scream, nothing gets done. And I wonder why a big issue is made of my temper when there are ample male producers who do the same thing?" she pertinently questions. while acceding to the accusation that she bullies her staff. and she also knows how to go out on a limb to defend her serials. which are often labeled regressive. "I just make clean soaps." she says. "Is it wrong to present tradition and middle class values? i know of no rule that says I have to have extra marital affairs in my serials! My serials show women in a strong and positive light. who have their values intact but also have a mind of their own.

Aamna 'Kahin to Hoga'
Aamna Shariff
She is the new sweetheart of the nation. Ethereal and delicate. And she essays the role of strong-minded Kashish to the hilt, in Star Plus' 'Kahin To Hoga' teleserial. She is none other than the very beautiful Aamna Shariff whose beatific smile, flawless complexion and sexy churidaars have men, women and children drooling over her.

Diet Dos: "I am very particular about what I eat. I generally stick to home-cooked food, as my dabba comprises very nutritious, tasty and oil-free food. As an actress, I have to maintain my figure and complexion and that is why it is very important to have well-balanced food. Once in a while, I do gorge on junk food like masala pav or sev puri. But I drink a lot of water and also have lots of juices, as they cleanse my system. I do have one weakness and that is, sweets, especially icecream — my favourite being tender coconut icecream. But I keep that craving under control."
Fitness Fad: "I confess, I do not go to the gym. In fact, one of my New Year resolutions is that I plan on going to a gym regularly as I am prone to putting on weight. But thankfully these days, as an actress, my work schedule keeps me on my toes."
Take Off: "Well, I am very fashion conscious, so I always make sure that I am in good shape to wear great clothes."

Ejaz Khan

"I can't stand my Kesar co-star…"

He's the hottest kid on the block. Ejaz Khan has captured the minds and imagination of several fans across the sub-continent, but somehow the plum roles seem to be evading the good looking actor. Prashant Golecha finds out why

Why did you leave 'Kahiin To Hoga', although your character Varun was being appreciated?
My leaving Kahiin To Hoga was a management decision at Balaji Telefilms. I had Kesar and Koi Dil Mein Hai to shoot for, which were suffering due to my time constraints. There were rumours floating that I left because I wasn't paid enough, but that was not true. I knew I would be exiting KTH. In fact, for one and a half months, we were unable to find a suitable replacement till Chaitanya came into the picture.

Why do you keep getting the second or third leads in Balaji shows? Did Ekta promise you a bigger role?
Ekta didn't promise me any bigger roles. I am doing the lead in Koi Dil Mein Hai. In Kesar too, I have a prominent role although my character, Abhinav Pandey has died right now - he is going to make a comeback. From the 16th episode in Kesar the story had to become a love triangle, which didn't happen. In case of Kahiin To Hoga my character was to evolve after Piyush's death. But some time after Piyush's death, I was replaced. I am happy doing what I am doing.

Why did you take up "Kkusum" that's already cluttered with so many actors?
My character Sohan has been introduced to fight for Kkusum. I agreed to do it because Kkusum is still the number one show for Sony in terms of viewership. Moreover it is a short-term character and I had time on my hands, as Koi Dil Mein Hai is a half hour weekly show now instead of an hour long weekly.

How difficult is it to avoid getting attracted to beautiful co-stars?
It is pretty difficult but one needs to maintain a certain level of professionalism. I don't believe in mixing my love and professional lives.

Why did you opt for television instead of approaching producers for films?
Frankly, I turned down many item number offers, as I didn't want to get slotted. Moreover, I had met with an accident and broken my shoulder I had some decent film offers but they were taking time. So when Balaji approached me for Kulvadhu (later renamed as Koi Dil Mein Hai) for a lead role, I decided to take the offer. But the show took time. Meanwhile I was offered the role of Varun. I took it.

Do you still want to do films?
Yes. Let me market myself well. At Balaji, I have sort of graduated in acting. In any case, television is bigger than films. In films, you can get written off with one flop, but that's not so with television shows. I want to do films but later. Right now I am happy doing television and improving my performances. I am a chilled out person. I want to exhaust myself first on television.

Do you have a girlfriend?
I had a girlfriend for four years. We have broken off now.

We keep hearing that 'Koi Dil Mein hai' is going off air soon. What's the truth?
Koi Dil Mein Hai was supposed to go off air, due to low TRPs, as Star Plus was airing movies at the same time. Right now, the serial has got an extension of around 2-3 months, as the ratings are better than before.

Is it true that Nandini Singh, who plays the title role of 'Kesar' has a major attitude problem on the sets?
Yes, it's totally true. I hate her. I haven't spoken to her for the last six months. We don't even rehearse the scenes with her. She just sits in her make up van with her mom. I don't know why, but everyone somehow goes on tolerating her.

How do you react to your female fan following?
Uncannily, I am still called Varun. Fans write letters to me and there are even people coming to my house to meet me. It feels good. When I was in hospital for five days after my hand injury, many fans visited me. That really touched me.

What are your passions?
My current passion is sleeping! Otherwise, I like to take off for vacations to places like Goa

hello everyone.!! i am new here so thought that i should post an article i read somewhere about rajeev...i dun know whether it was pasted here befroe or not so i thought.... well here goes

'Modesty is not my cup of tea'
Aditi Raja
New Delhi, January 11: Twenty seven-year-old Rajeev Khandelwal, who plays the lead in Kahiin To Hoga, discusses priorities and pipe dreams. Sujal Garewal's role in Kahiin To Hoga turned you into a heart-throb overnight. How do you relate to Sujal?
Rajeev Khandelwal talks more than Sujal, but he's not very different from Sujal. I can shock people by saying something that they'd least expect from me just like Sujal. I'm not the kind who sacrifices and forgets. I don't believe in tradition, nor am I superstitious. I'm straight forward, yet business-minded like Sujal. My career is top priority and I can stand up and say I am the best.
Aditi Raja
< = src="http://ads.expressindia.com/banner/iestoryban.js">
Don't you think you're sounding pompous?
Modesty is not my cup of tea. I've always wanted fame, success and the limelight. I like my work being appreciated and a viewer crying along with Sujal is an achievement. How did you kickstart your television career?
I wrote documentaries for DD before my first big break with Balaji in Kya Hadsaa Kya Haqeeqat. I thought that this role was a passing phase. Sujal is a major role and I'm happy with it. Was this jump to TV from a degree in Chemistry backed by your family?
In fact, even before I took up Chemistry, I did a year of Engineering, and realised that it was not my field. I love Chemistry. Though my parents weren't ecstatic when I shifted gears to TV, they're happy since I'm successful. I've always believed that I had the mettle. My confidence and hard work has payed off. How did you decide that you wanted to play Sujal having rejected the offer of the lead role in Kahaani Terii Merii?
I'm very particular about my roles. Sujal Garewal is a very convincing character. He is a character of substance with nine shades. He has shades of Bachchan in Shakti and Deewar and Ajay Devgan of Company. After rejecting Kahaani..., I was very apprehensive for eight months. And then Kahiin... went on air. What next?
Movies definitely. I'm concentrating on Kahiin... and a few commercials for the next six months. I really admire Shah Rukh's home, Mannat. It stands for the achievement that Shah Rukh has earned in 10 years. A big house called Jannat, with a huge lawn is certainly my dream.

bye!!!

i have highlighted the part in red

Kkavya's voice ain't his own!

Krishna (Sachin Sharma) of Kahaani Ghar Ghar Kii (Star Plus) has stepped into a new role. He is now dubbing Kkavya (Rakshak) in Kkavyanjali.

Sachin - voicing his talent

Dubbing has never been easy for actors, whether from Bollywood or TV. A lot of actors have voices, that the creative team on a show feels does not gel with the character. This is precisely what's happened in case of Rakshak.

Explains Ekta Kapoor's trusted lieutenant Nivedita Basu, "Rakshak had difficulties in voice modulation, especially when it came to emotional scenes. Hence, we decided that someone ought to lend him his voice."

Basu says that it didn't take long to zero down on Sachin. "I had two names in mind, whose voice we knew would match Rakshak's character. Sachin Sharma and Amit Sarin. I first spoke to Sachin. He agreed. I didn't take the offer to Amit."

"Like in films, such things are common in television too. Aamna Shariff's voice was also dubbed for about the first 100 episodes. Neeti dubbed for her. Later, Aamna could manage beautifully. These are teething problems sometimes."

Rakshak - in mute mode!

Back to Sachin.

Sachin, who on the one hand, has been the homely and sober Krishna in KGGK and a totally different, outgoing-n-adventurous Vedant in Tumhari Disha (Zee TV), is enjoying his additional responsibility. "Dialogue delivery is one of the most important aspects of acting. This new job is helping me to evolve as an actor. I am enjoying every bit of it."

Meanwhile, we hear that the Agarwal family will take on Sachin in KGGK. Reason? His wife (Poorva Gokhale) caught him kissing Manya (Kavita Kaushik). He will leave the house, only to get picked up by his mother Pallavi (Achint Kaur who has come in place of Shweta Kawaatra). No prizes for guessing that some heated confrontation scenes between Achint Kaur and Ali Asgar (who plays Sachin's father)lie in store!

Rutuja > What do you think about your co-stars in Kahiin To Hoga ?
Aamna Shariff > I don't term them as my co stars because they are like a big family to me and I miss them when I am not shooting with them, as much as you would miss your home.

Aamna Shariff > A fashion designer.

Insaneashi86 > Hi Aamna, this is Ayesha from Pakistan. I like you and your drama only but I don't like Sujal. I want to ask from you – are you the daughter of Babra Shariff?
Aamna Shariff > Hi Ayesha. I am not Babra Shariff's daughter. But people have mistaken me a lot of times to be her daughter.

Urfan > Oh, and yes I love your dressing sense on TV. Is it you or some one else who does your wardrobe? Who is it?
Aamna Shariff > It's Nim Sood. I call her masi (aunty). A little credit goes to me also as I am particular how I dress up.

Kia kashish hai tujh mein > People say that you are not happy from the present story line of Kahiin To Hoga. Why?
Aamna Shariff > Yes, I am not happy because KTH has a flavour and now it's slightly going low. So I don't want that to ever happen, that's the reason I am slightly depressed.

Mukeshvalecha > Who is your role model?
Aamna Shariff > My mom.

Kia kashish hai tujh mein > What about Shaadi (marriage)?
Aamna Shariff > Marriage is a very strong commitment and two people really have to think and get into something like that because it just happens once in a life time.

Mukeshvalecha > You were looking cool in album with your professor model. Who's that guy and are you doing any other music album?
Aamna Shariff > I don't remember the guy's name because it was shot a year-and-half-back. As of now, I am not doing any videos. But very soon, I will.

Sonia_luvs u _aamna > I think Aamna loves Rajeev more then any one else. Right Aamna? Ask from your heart!
Aamna Shariff > I asked from my heart and it's a no.

Sign Off Message > I love all you guys and thank all of you for giving me so much of love!
