I want to break away from 'Kashish': Aamna

The small screen beauty, Aamna Sharif's stint as the hugely popular Kashish of 'Kahiin To Hoga' is soon coming to an end.
But the character got her a much deserved 'Best Actress' award at an award function recently. "It felt out of the world. I was waiting for the 'Best Actress' award since the time I started out as an actress. It is a dream for every actor to win in this category. I can't describe the feeling. I got it by God's grace and now my responsibility has increased towards my fans," she expounds. The actress also won the 'Style Icon' award once again. Looking like a dream, clad in a lovely red saree, she gushes, "Whenever I travel and interact with my fans, I get compliments from them for the way I dress up and for me that is the real reward. It is bigger than any award. I love to experiment with my clothes. I don't go to just one designer. There are a lot of people like I love Tarun Tahiliani's sarees and there are others as well."
Isn't she sad that the show that gave her such a high is coming to an end? "Every good thing has to come to an end. I feel sad because of my unit. One fine day I'll wake up and I won't be going back there. But, life goes on. I have spent 3 and a half years on the show and there are a lot of fond memories. It even got me a 'Best Actress' award now," she smiles. She feels that it is the right time for her to move on and Sony Television has the right role tucked away in their forthcoming shows for her though she is tightlipped about the new show.
There were rumours about her friend Rajeev Khandelwal being approached for the same show by Sony. "As of now, he is not there in the serial. It is for the makers to decide whether he is there in it or not. First of all I haven't even finalized on the serial, so all these are just speculations," says Aamna patiently. When we ask her about her plans for the next year, she cheers up, "I want to do something different and break away from the image of Kashish. By mid 2007, I want to get into Bollywood. But it has to be something really big. At the same time I feel that television is becoming so big that if you are getting great work here and not something as good on the big screen then better not do films."
