'The show will go on'

Ekta Kapoor is in a fix. Although the lead pair in one of her popular dailies cannot stand each other, the TRPs suggest that the audiences want them together. "This is a very peculiar situation to be in," says Ekta. "I considered wrapping up the show. But after Sujal's accident the show has suddenly picked up like nobody's business. What do I do? Though I'm tired of the show, how can I go against the TRPs?"
So how does she intend to cope with the friction between the two actors? "I've no clue! To be honest, I feel Amna's stand on this matter isn't wrong. One can't have one's co-star talking badly about you all the time."
Does Ekta resent the fact that Amna has gone to Sony to do another show? "Not at all. She has been committed exclusively to Balaji for three years. I'm not the least resentful about her decision to do another show for another company. My actors are always told that they are free to work elsewhere as long as they don't allow their work at Balaji to suffer. Amna is a beautiful girl and a thorough professional. I've no intention of doing the serial without her."
So will the show continue with the two warring co-stars refusing to look at each other? Says Ekta, "I don't know. All I know is that the show will go on."
