Barnali, you are one of the most unique people I have come across IF, and it's an honour to know you and a special pleasure to be considered a friend by you..... 😳
same feelings here and yes thanx for helping me out wth the other set.😊
Now to the questions:
Barnali, I need to find some specific questions.....
1) let me tackle Ramayana first: how is Ram purushauttam if he does not trust his wife and throws her out just on gossip, and that too without telling her anything and letting Lakshman do the dirty job?? Wasn't he as a husband at least responsible for her safety if nothing else??
i cant agree more to yu on this matter. tht is one of the point that i hav always wondered why Ram did this. deserting ones wife that too on someones heresay. that was surely wrong. but Purushottam i still feel he was. he had deserted her but not a single moment went that he didnt regret and thought of her. he could hav got maried again as was the ritual on those days for kings. but he didnt. the respect he had for ladies was somethng kings usually lacked in those days.
the other point abt bali killing i am adding tht too... even that i dont agree to. but today morning i went through some books and got some more info. as we all know that this Bali fellow had taken vardaan frm the authorities.to the effct tht in a battle half the strength of the adversary would be transferred to him. but it didnt include a proviso for adversaries standing
behind trees.
Let x and y denote the strengths of Bali and adversary, respectively. The varadaan would result in the following transformation:
x <-- x + y/2;
y <-- y/2;
Now assuming that x,y > 0 initially, it is clear that after the transformation, x > y. Hence, it was impossible for Sugreev (or Sugreevan, if you please) or anyone to beat Bali, even if Ram[an] and Ravan[an] were both to join him is some coalition/outside-support arrangement. Imagine half your party crossing over to Bali Kazhagam! Therefore, some sort of treacherous backstabbing was necessary.
but even then i would say why didnt they go in for consensus and resolving their differences across the conference table?
2) If Ram was to be born today, what is the dress that we would expect him to wear?
maybe this costume😊
3) If Ram had to endorse a product, which product he would endorse?? Please write the jingle 😃
Birla Sriram cement.
lakshman : bhaiya yeh diwar kyu nahi tutti
ram : kyuki yeh birla sriram cement se bana hay bhai.
lakshman : kyu bhaiya is cement mey kya hay
Ram : is cement mey jaan hai.
4) If Ram was born today, would he still be known as Purushottam? If not, then what would he be called today??
no not in this age. that would be called as outdated name. he would be called maybe as batmanram or supermanram.
Will come back with more.......
