Hey Thanks for the news! I also got a mail from the tech support at my work place about this virus attack on 3rd Feb. this is what it said!

"As you may have already been made aware by numerous media stories, there is a new computer virus referred to as the "Mywife" virus (Win32/Mywife.E@mm) that is expected to strike world-wide on February 3, 2006. The mass mailing virus tries to entice users into opening an attached file in an e-mail message. The attached Virus attempts to send itself to all the contacts that are contained in the system's address book. The virus may also spread over writeable network shares on systems that have blank administrator passwords. The virus is expected to corrupt numerous files this Friday, February 3rd if left undetected.

s a precaution, please ensure your computer is protected and up-to-date by following the instructions below:

YOU ARE PROTECTED IF- You are protected if your McAfee VirusScan Definition version is 4642 or higher, however it is preferred to be at 4682 or higher.

To check your version, "Right Click" on the VShield in your System Tray, located by the digital clock in the lower right corner, and choose "About VirusScan Enterprise". Next look for "Virus Definitions:" It should be greater than 4641, most likely it will be at 4685 or higher as of the week of Jan 30, 2006.

We ask that you please use caution when opening emails with attachments at home and work."

Sorry if the message is too long!
I though it would be of help!
Thanks

Snehal
