Oh bringing back Suyash is a great Idea.At least we will get rid off this boring track.Suyash's comeback will pop up some interesting tracks.

Yes suyesh is and would be a welcome change (preferably with a different actor).......I would love to see Parvati, Om and suyesh on a professional challenge in relation to there respective businesses...... but definetly not on a personal front.............thats a complete turn-off! So strictly on a professional front they need to get the characters involved......surely there are many tracks available which go beyond love, unrequited love, marriages etc etcc blah blah........

Show something of substance and engaging material as they have some quality actors in this show....... and maybe bring Tina back and then they could also have a parallel track with her and Om with above mentioned track together...... sounds much better than the present stuff!

Well, apologies... but am in total disagreement with the remarks on Anoop's performance... @Alia - I can't say that I've seen much of Anoop's work outside of Kahaani, so its difficult for me to pinpoint what exactly is so offputting about the character. The only thing that I can say is that the change from ruthless but strong businessman to lovestruck puppy was completely irrational and turned me off immediately; I have no interest in seeing a middle-aged man pining for someone else's wife, no matter how "nice" he is.

As for Om/Kiran - I fail to understand why the creatives brought him back if all he was going to do was stand in the bg and stare. I agree with your original post about Om once being a very central character. Actually the problem is that Kahaani was, once upon a time, a show about the FAMILY - everyone in it. It was about 4 brothers and their wives; the relationships between Parvati-Shilpa-Avantika, Paro-Om, Om-Ajay, Om and his mother, Kamal-Pallavi etc etc etc. Every character was as valid as the next, and had an important role to play. Somewhere along the line, it was almost as if all the men were emasculated, and the show became about women's politics with the men standing in the background looking sour. Slowly, characters started disappearing, never to be seen or heard from again. And after Om's death, Parvati was raised to mythic proportions and given the mantle; she became the be-all-and-end-all of the show.

I do not mean to insult Paro's character in anyway, anyone who knows me knows that I think Parvati is the strongest female lead and Sakshi is a powerhouse of talent, and deserves every award in the book. But what I see the writers having done is that, in raising Parvati's character above everyone else's, they've gotten to this point where the show cannot be conceived of without Parvati, and all the other actors have become extras. It's like a one-woman show where other people make occasional appearances. I love Parvati, I do, but we need to get that "family" atmosphere back. To top it all off, we've got the useless transplants of the Mehra and RCs families hanging around with nothing better to do, and the original Agarwal family seems to have dwindled to Parvati, Om and the kids. Where is Shruti, Shilpa, Gaurav (much as I despise him), Sonu, Parth or any other missing AG kid? Ishan may be interesting and complex on his own, but Ashu Mehra and Shivangi RC are the most irritating and boring characters in the history of the show, and I can't understand why they get so much footage, at the expense of the people who are actually interesting!

I agree with you - I would love to have a business-related track, with Suyash & SD coming back and standing in opposition to Om and the AGs, and I would KILL for a Shruti-Om track, which is long overdue! I would also love to see Tannu finding out about the baby swap and to see a track between her, Gunn and Shruti, with Tannu struggling to come to terms with her new identity. This is the stuff we should be getting from Kahaani, not a broken record of "Tum Mere Ho", and certainly not more proof that Ashu is the dumbest cop ever to pass through the system!

๐Ÿ˜† OMG exactly what i think...Ashuthosh and Shivangi are soooooooooooo irritating, dont have words to explain how irritating they are! I dint want to actually mention it here as I thought they have takers as well, but since someone commented on it, I SECOND IT ๐Ÿ˜† !! Shivani's acting is one thing I had always been irritated with, you dont feel like sympathysing on her somehow, it looks as though she has some kind of attitude! And I used to like Ashu before when he was full support for Parvathi Mama, but now I somehow cant stand him or their romantic scenes, I think i prefer Chotu now ๐Ÿ˜ณ [though i disliked him initially]

And regarding OM, i still cant understand why he said yesterday 'mujhe tumhari baat par yakeen nahin hain par tum par yakeen hain'...i mean, now how many more times should Parvathi prove that she is the SMARTEST?! Regarding Chotu also she knew before hand that he was faking to be abnormal. And after coming back as Janaki also she has always proved her self. And inspite of all this OM is finding it difficult to trust her?!

Regarding Om's character, I also feel the same. He looks like an extra who keeps making the same comments and dialogues for every different situation. If you have noticed, what ever the issue was his dialogues, body language, emotions, everything was the same, only situations were different ๐Ÿ˜†. So its getting boring, nothing new to expect from him. Maybe being away from the Agarwal family for the past 20 years, he might not be used to criminals and dhokas ๐Ÿ˜† !!

I agree with you on everything here......specially your point on the old kahaani and how lots of characters were involved then.....very true....im absolutely a big fan of the first-second gen fan of kahaani just love the old days.......youre right in saying the family atmosphere is visibly missing nowadays with key characters missing. it was about a family then now its sadly about paro and how the AGs always dont trust her....i have had enough of that its been done to death please show us something new for gods sake..........and the sad thing is there are so many potentiallly interesting tracks for them to use like some of the ones you mentioned, also with return of shruti so many tracks can be opened even adi-mets have been left out....but the creatives are having none of it and rather show everything parvati centric which only concludes with Ags mistreating her etc etc๐Ÿคข..............

you know powerful characters like shruti, janki, om, pallavi, sasha and from the new gen ishaan make this show a personality-driven show dealing solely on the different shades off human nature/perspectives on issues that occur in there lives in a family atmosphere.......which happened previously in both first and second gen that's why i LOVE the old kahaani......but now its more of social issue driven soap ....where viewers are told how things should be done and it sounds preachy like the present track.............i hate that........i rather see exploration on under-layers of these characters and how they as a personality deal with problems.................. i hope i make sense here๐Ÿ˜†

and if they really want to show romance, and love and stuff then only show om-parvati........adi-met and maybe even ishaan-gauri whom are jodi's people are interesting in watching............................

and the problem i have with Anoop is as an actor he has never appealed to me....he can never excite you or touch you with his scenes......be it in kahaani or some of the movies he is in or the other shows he has done....its that same monotonous expressions in every scene.......you know like he lacks that spark as an actor..............first i thought maybe its because he only suits certain roles but no its everywhere the same thing with him. So comparing both Mohnish's suyesh and his is like comparing the old and new tulsi frankly...........and the difference is huge and visible๐Ÿ˜† thats why i think the actor can make a difference to a character and sometimes even destroy it which has been the case here.

seems like you too like shruti/tina.......well she was and still is my favourite second generation character-actress thats includes not only kahaani but every other show which took a leap same time as kahaani........ Tina is such a powerful actress its unbelievable that she even managed to overshadow her onscreen parents for me in so many of her scenes with them........you know even saakshi required alot of polishing in her acting specially if you see her very first episodes she was an 'amateur' but later turned into a powerhouse of talent....but with Tina she came across as an established actress from the first day in the show specially when she was paired in scenes with the more experienced actors......she was on-par if not better than even them...... thats so good for a new comer then......and i think the current actor who plays ishaan is equally doing a applaud-worthy job with his role.

P.S. Can I ask your name? if you dont mind me asking?

Well, First of all, one must keep in mind that its Parvati who is the protagonist of the Soap ๐Ÿ˜Š ...KGGK is all about Parvati, her life n the developments within & around her ...therefore, its only but natural that Parvati will remain the central focus of the show, while all the characters will revolve around this central character, because they form an important part of the Protagonist's (here, Parvati) life! ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿผ ๐Ÿ˜ƒ Agreed, that in the past, when Kahaani started out, every character especially Om had a central role to play in Parvati's life n hence the focus ๐Ÿ˜ณ ๐Ÿ˜Š ...Om is still very important to Parvati till date ๐Ÿ˜ณ ๐Ÿ˜ณ ...but things / situations around Parvati have changed n evolved, Overtime ๐Ÿ˜ณ ...the same applies to the AG Parivaar ...as well as Parvati's life ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿผ ...which also includes her transformation into Janki, after what she had to go through because the AGs turned their backs on her when she needed them the most! ๐Ÿ˜ก ...blaming her of murdering the person whom she loved more than anything on earth ๐Ÿ˜ญ ...n now that Om is back, (we still don't know if he's been brought back for keeps or like Kiran had mentioned about an "interesting" storyline offered to him, will be eventually turned Negative in the show ๐Ÿ˜• )...situations in the AG House have taken a different angle ๐Ÿ˜ณ , for instance, with Ishaan around, every character will have to play their part to deal with the current situation ๐Ÿ˜ณ ...naturally, since Parvati was around with the younger generation much before Om's return, it'll be Parvati who'd take the front-stand in dealing with situations related to them ๐Ÿ˜Š ...n likewise, when it came to Om-Rish's daughters, Om was the front runner all through ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿผ ...So listing out on Om's character as having taken a backstand would'nt really be right at this point of time ...In fact, there are so many other characters who've taken a backstand due to changes in the storyline ๐Ÿ˜ณ ...Janki to start off with (Miss You Janki! ๐Ÿ˜ญ ๐Ÿค— )...Shruthi, Trishna, Rajeshwari n the Mehra clan, Adi, Maithili, the oldies, Batuk, Dadi-Bua, quite a few of the AG GenX, n so many more ๐Ÿ˜ต ...n for Kiran, he's a super fine actor n i've always felt that Sakshi n Kiran have complimented each other so well ๐Ÿ‘ ๐Ÿ‘ ๐Ÿ‘ .., they've brought Parvati n Om to life ๐Ÿ˜ , with such amazing on-screen chemistry! ๐Ÿ˜ณ ๐Ÿ˜ณ In Fact, ever since Kahani started, till date, Om-Parvati have been my one n only Fav Jodi ๐Ÿ˜ณ ๐Ÿค— ๐Ÿ˜ ...but at this point of time, what is more important is Kahaani's revival to its earlier magic ๐Ÿ˜Š (like that during Janki's days ๐Ÿ˜ )..remember the TRPs soaring at No. 01 then? ๐Ÿ‘ ๐Ÿ‘ ...n of course our super-rocking Janki ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿผ ๐Ÿค— ๐Ÿ‘ ...Much as i love Om-Parvati, if Om's current return is not adding to the show or even to any of the characters, including that of Om, ๐Ÿ˜ณ ..then we might as well not have him around! ๐Ÿ˜• Kahaani currently needs Janki - Fiery Eyes in Full Form! ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿผ The audiences have loved Parvati's transformation into the ever-powerful, stylish, independent, even more stronger Janki! ๐Ÿ‘ ...n people want her back n how! ๐Ÿ‘ ๐Ÿ‘ ๐Ÿ‘ ...n for Anoop Soni playing Suyash ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿผ ...i think he's done a fabulous job with the character ๐Ÿ‘ ๐Ÿ‘ ๐Ÿ‘ ...n it shows in the way the audiences accepted him with open arms when Mohnish left the show! ๐Ÿ‘ ...n without a doubt, Kudos to Sakshi for ever so brilliantly carrying the show on her shoulders all thru'out! ๐Ÿ‘ ...Sakshi truly deserves a standing Ovation n every single award for her Top-notch performances! ๐Ÿ‘ ๐Ÿ‘ ...n Ekta has undoubtedly created TV's one n only most strongest character - Parvati / Janki! ๐Ÿ‘

With all due respect to everyone's opinions, this is purely my personal take.. ๐Ÿ˜ณ ๐Ÿ˜Š

Tina is my absolute fave actress, aside from Sakshi...but to be truly honest Tina is and always will be first for me.

Tina is such a powerful actress its unbelievable that she even managed to overshadow her onscreen parents for me in so many of her scenes with them........And that's saying something! The Om-Paro-Shruti scenes were always so excellent, because all three are just so good!๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘

And as for Tina, my love for her goes from strength to strength. Shruti is my favourite character in all of Telly world, and the way that Tina portrays this realistic, HUMAN girl is applaudable. No mahaanta, no fakeness for her. And then there's Mukti. I just loved Tina's portrayal of this beautiful creature who had nothing but love for all of the people around her...though I love all her scenes as Mukti, one will always stand out. The scene in which she discovers she has been raped...that still sends shivers down my spine Tina was FABULOUS throughout that rape track, and esp. in that scene - she deserved the awards she got for that...Shruti and Mukti are my two favourite characters, and largely because Tina is a powerhouse in her own right.

you know even saakshi required alot of polishing in her acting specially if you see her very first episodes she was an 'amateur' but later turned into a powerhouse of talent....Yes, I remember the initial episodes; and true, Sakshi has improved by leaps and bounds...but from the minute Tina was shown as Shruti, she was spectacular, and she has always understood her character really well, which helps when it comes to performance.

but with Tina she came across as an established actress from the first day in the show specially when she was paired in scenes with the more experienced actors......she was on-par if not better than even them...... thats so good for a new comer then......and i think the current actor who plays ishaan is equally doing a applaud-worthy job with his role. I agree. Ishan was the first new gen actor that I liked from the word go - the others grew on me, but Bharat's portrayal of Chotu and then Ishan is just spectacular...

P.S. Can I ask your name? if you dont mind me asking? Sure, its Vasu, or Vas...whichever you prefer๐Ÿ˜‰

Cheers

Apologies but i disagree in few places here...............Parvati has never been the sole protagonist of this show....coz infact the protagonist of the this show for along time were the four AG brothers and there respective spouses and parvati was one of them............to an extent you could say that om was given more prominence than the other brothers but parvati's characters was always revolved around his life and shruti and the family........up until obviously he 'died'.......then parvati's character took all together a different turn....... so kahaani has never been all about parvati's life.......its always been about the AGs and there lifes and parvati is just one of those members.......if i was to pin-point whose life it surrounds then it changed with time.....firstly the four brothers and there wifes........then later the new generation the likes of Shruti, Krishna and there spouses and now this new gen namely Ishaan.......yes parvati has link with these people........but she is involved around them its not about her an individual at all now........................

and in the case of only on two characters parvati and om themselves well then from this point the protagnist of this show has always been om and parvati's character revolved around him and always has been..................... this is not to say parvati has lesser importance than him.... no coz she was as important......but the point is her characters is formed within om's himself therefore both are as important and as prominent as each other.

another thing is no actress can EVER single-handly run a tv soap( no matter how good and popular they are) and Saakshi is not a exception to this either .......and there are evident examples firstly kyunki if that was the case then when Smriti left kyunki should have sanked but it never it still tops the chart........another contrasting example is KZK if Shweta could run the show alone as prerna then the show would have never ended................. so clearly the screenplay plays the biggest part in these shows and when performed well the audience responds thus higher trps. Your point about janki is needed in action and etc...............well she has come back.....they given back the style the attitude everything then from your point it should have topped the charts but it hasnt clearly..............since om's come back to the AG house parvati has dominated the show be it with joining sasha......dealing with ishaan.....and the other things she has been doing..........other characters havent even been involved so why hasnt she topped the charts for kahaani when 'Janki' is back in action.................................well im not saying this coz she failed as an actress but rather the screenplay has not been upto the mark.....its clear no matter how good you are if a gripping screenplay is not provided the actors can do only do alittle and I think Saakshi and more importantly Kiran have been a subject to this.

Thats why i totally disagree om's character is not needed (now that he is back) he can do so much if only the creatives realised that om can equally run this show as parvati and many other characters if they are given prominence in a track...........for me its a collective team thing........not one actor/actress can take all the credit...........Saakshi has always responded when the screenplay has been gripping and has never let you down.......but its also true like so many others she has failed too when the screenplay has been mediocre! To some extent i thing other characters do suffer when the creatives force everything to be parvati centric..........if you watch the intial episodes every character had there individual tracks dealing with there own problems........and they carried it of competently......and i think it was refreshing for the show the rotation they provided then.............

Strictly only my two cents..................
