M: adi? tum kya kar rahe ho?

A: mai kya kar raha hoon?

He questioned innocently and entwined his fingers with hers.

M: uh…you…me…holding hands?

A: we're holding hands?? Let go of me maithili!

Maithili stood slightly shocked

M: adi! stop it! Leave me!

A: maithili leave me!!

M: adi! Maithili spoke tugging her hand away from him, but he just wouldn't let go…on top of that, he began moaning

A: maithili!!! Chodo mujhe!!! Leave me na!

M: adi stop it!! What are you doing??

Adi pulled maithili towards him. Their proximity and his stare silenced her. She looked into his eyes and stared

Closing her eyes as she felt his hand to her cheek, she stood still.

She could feel his warm breath on her face.

Her hand unknowingly clasped his hand tighter as he moved his face closer.

His nose caressed hers while his free hand played with her hair.

A: have I told you…you are breath-takingly…

Maihtili opened her eyes and looked at him, a slight smile formed on her lips…

Her lips opened ever so slightly, almost as if to urge him to continue…

A; breath-takingly…ugly?

She smiled slightly at him and looked down…moments later she realised what he just said

M: adi!!! she spoke annoyed and pushed him away

M: I look ugly?? Have you seen yourself lately?? You look like an ape!! And you badly need a shave! So don't start telling me I look ugly!!

A; I need a shave huh?

M: yes you do!

A: you don't like my stubble?

M: no!! it pricks when i…when you…

A: when I…?? Adi looked coyly at her, pulling her towards him again

M: you… she looked nervously at him, unable to speak

A: when i…come this close to you? he whispered pressing his stubbled cheek against hers

M: yes…n..no! i…didn't mean that…i…

A: what did you mean then maithili? Adi spoke, his head resting downwards on her shoulder, his lips gently tickling her neck.

"ahem!" a voice sounded from behind

Both adi and maithili jerked apart and looked dumbfounded

"now if you two love birds shift aside, maybe me and Bharat can actually get down the stairs!" Tannu spoke

M: …uh…ha…g..go…we..we were just..

B: oh no bhabi! You don't need to explain…I know very well what you two have been doing..

Bharat spoke eyeing both adi and maithili

A: abbey ja!

Adi spoke with irritancy in his voice

Bharat smirked as he saw maithili blush, yet tannu seemed to be suspicious.

Both adi and maithili sat next to eachother at the table and quietly ate their breakfast.

S: so beta…how was your stay here, while we all were out?

A: it was…(Adi paused for a moment…) eventful

Maithili glared at him while he played dumb

May: so beta, when are you planning to go on honeymoon…that's if everything's allright!

A: yes mom! Everything is fine between maithili and me…you worry too much! After all, you only said, we're perfect for each other!

Adi looked at maithili and winked at her. She rolled her eyes and looked at Mayuri

M: yes mamma! Everythings fine!

A: infact, we've discussed where we want to go for honeymoon

Maihtili looked questioningly at him

A; we both want to go to Singapoor!

Maihtili coughed a little…

She received a little pinch from adi

M: ha ha mamma! We…want to go to Singapoor…

Mayuri: great beta! Bharat go book the tickets to the flight!

B: why do I have to do everything!!??

Bharat grinned a little and got up.

maithili yelled in the bedroom

A: Mrs. Maithili Aditya Mehra!…you're coming with me because you're my wife!

Maithili stared dumbfoundedly at him. She watched silently as he walked out of the room

"..okey…." maithili whispered, a slow smile appeared on her face, unknown to even her.

He watched her struggling to stuff all her saris into a small suitcase.

He laughed lightly… "should I help you?"

Without waiting for her answer, he strode towards her and held her hand. Slowly shifting it aside, he closed the suitcase with ease. Maithili smiled slightly at him…

M: thanks she muttered

Adi opened his mouth to speak, but Bharat interrupted him

B: hi bhabi! Bhai!…tickets have been booked, aaj shyaam ki flight and here are your boarding passes!

Adi took them and checked them. Smiling sarcastically at Bharat, adi lifted his hand and whacked him

B: owww!! What was that for??

A: you stupid imbecile! Look at our seats!! They aren't next ot each other!
