Chapter 41
The chill struck again, she wondered if adi had once again taken the blanket away from her. She stretched her arm out and immediately came in contact with warmth.
Uggh! That pig! Took the blanket again!!! She thought sleepily
Moving closer to the source of warmth, she found her head laying on something soft, yet robust. She lazily opened her eyes and smiled. She noticed a brown, tanned figure beside her…a figure??? She shook her head to focus her vision…legs, arms…chest…A FIGURE!!!
It took her a moment to realise what and who it was, she was sleeping againt.
She gasped and vigorously raised her head. She stared at his face…ADI!!! She then looed at herself, how shamelessy her arm rested on his bare chest. Hey bhagwaan!!
"aah!!" sh elet out a squeal and turned away.
A: what what!! Aid got up looking confused
M: YOU!!! cover up!!! She said throwing a pillow at him, still not looking at him.
It took a moment for him to realise what she was on about.
A: oh…he muttered
M: can I open my eyes now???
A: uh yeah!
Maithili opened her eyes and slowly turned to face him
Adi looked even more confused
Maithili rolled her eyes
M: don't tell me you don't know what you've just done!!
A: what did I just do???
M: don't you know how your arms were shamelessly griped round me!! You were shirtless too!!!
A: what!!! Lady!! First of all I didn't grip you! second of all, I'll live the way I want!! Shirtless, pantless! You name it!!!
Maithili closed her eyes at what he said
M: besharam! Ullu ka pattha!!!!ugh!!!!
Maithili tried to get up but Adi held her hand and pulled her onto him. She rested rather unwillingly on his lap.
M: what are you doing!!!
A: chup!!!! Ekdum chup!
Maithili shut-up as instructed by Adi and gazed into his eyes. His firm state sent shivers down her while her clenched fists lay on his broad chest.
A: what was that last night?? Huh??? Why did you kick me!!!
Maithili didn't answer and continued to stare at him
A: did I ever hit you? huh! All I did was hug you because you were feeling cold!!! Answer me!!
Maithili's gaze broke and she turned her head away.
Was adi really telling the truth or just lying?
M: uh…i…I'm sorry…
Maithili decided to give him the benefit of doubt.
A: hmm…
Adi nodded slowly. He was staring at her now, even though she was not looking his way, she could feel his fervent gaze on her face. Colour slowly rose to her cheeks as she sensed adi's face move closer to hers…
M: a…ahdi…
Adi continued to move his face closer to maithili. She could now feel his warm breath on her cheeks. Maithili took a breath in and held it in place. His nose caressed her cheek and she shut her eyes. Her heart racing now, she prayed he would move away. His nose was on her ear, his lips grazed past.
He watched her breath out, clenching her grip further, ever so slightly on his chest. She unknowingly moved her self closer to him while he teased her.
His lips opened - she thought he'd place a larger kiss on her ear – And suddenly, his teeth dug into her ear, biting it as if it were cheese.
Maithili let out a scream
M: aaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhh!!!! Her hand moved to clasp her hurt ear as she painfully watched him laugh at her.
A: revenge is sooooo sweet!!!
He spoke, pursing his lips as if he'd give her a kiss and then pushing her off of himself.
She cursed him and vowed to kill him sooner or later

Down at breakfast, adi and maithili once again sat opposite each other. They glared at each other or rather maithili glared at Adi and he tried not to laugh. Shikhar and mayuri found it very strange that adi and maithili would never sit next to each other at breakfast and always opposite.
S: adi beta, go sit next to maithili…
A: of course dad! Adi said once again biting back his laughter. Maithili clenched her fist as he sat next to her.
May: maithili beta, ek minute kitchen mein aana!
M: jee mamma!
Maithili left relieved to the kitchen.
Mayuri gave maithili juice and asked her to give it to adi. Maithili smirked evilly at that…
Maithili, smiling a little too much gave adi his drink. He looked at her suspiciously but took it in hand none the less. Bharat came downstairs and tannu into the mansion.
T: hi deeds! Hey bro!
Maithilli rolled her eyes upon seeing Adi put the glass down because he saw tannu.
Adi lifted the glass to his mouth again but Bharat spoke and so adi, without sipping the drink, put it back down.
Maitihli grew frustrated !
uff!! when will that duffer drink!!
B; hey bhabi!
T: OMG!!! Didi!!
M: what TANNU!!
T: didi…I didn't think you and adi would ever…you know…have a pati patni relation…like real hubby and wife! I thought you'd chew each other's head
Maithili raised her eyebrow at that..
M: and tannu…what makes you think we would chew each other's heads away?
T: the fact that you hated each other sooo much!!! But anyway deeds…
M; why were you so shocked!??
Maithili asked interrupting…
Adi had now finally put the glass to his mouth and taken a sip…
"Because!! You have a love-bite!" Tannu chirped merrily
Adi immediately spat out his drink and started coughing. Maithili had her eyes wide and was glaring ahead…Bharat was gaping looking at maithili and Shikhar-Mayuri got up to leave.
After recovering form it all, Adi looked up at maithili and her pale face looked back at him..
"look!" tannu said getting up and pointing at maithili's ear..
T: you've got one right there!
Was it possible for both adi and maithili to be anymore embarrassed?
Both immediately got up, muttered excuses and left.
