sorry for the delay and here's the next part..
Chapter 15
Adi comes running up to Tannu and shakes her.
"tannu…what happened?"
"umm..ha?? w..what happened?" she asked looking at Bharat and speaking to Adi.
"come inside…*achoo* you'll get a *achoo* cold…
Clearly nobody had seen what happened between bharat and tannu and they were all behaving normally. Bharat chose to stay as far away from tannu as possible so as to even avoid looking at her.
All the others found the pair very weird as their constant banter had been missing…
P: bharat..*achoo* w..what happened..*achoo*!
Mallishka laughed at pranay..
M: tum ladke pe toh bohot jaldi sardi aagaye!
P: ya ya..we aren't like you girls who can go out in the rain, spend hours and not even get a cold…Pranay shivered.
Mai: its because were used to all this...i mean our immunity system is very strong!
A: ha.. I wish I could say something else in you is strong maithili..
M: what did you say!!
A: oh! Nothing…
Maithili narrowed her eyes on adi..
All six went into the girl's room and the three boys sat down on separate stools in a line.
Maithili went to the bathroom and threw three towels on the three boys heads.
Mallishka randomly started rubbing Pranay's head with a towel not knowing it was him…As maithili came out of the bathroom she told Tannu to rub bharat's hair amd tannu quietly did so.
Maithili rubbed Adi's hair thinking it was pranay.
Mai: ok..this might sound strange, but boys remove your shirts…
Adi burst out laughing and maithili glared at him.
A: maithili…why lie…you just want to see that sexy body of mine!
M: uggh!! Saying so she threw the towel at him.
"for you info adi!!! I'm telling you to do so because you could get fever if you're in wet clothes and that would mean more work for me!!"
"whatever!" muttered adi as he took off his shirt.
"at least wrap yourself in a towel!!!" maithili groaned.
Adi did so while grinning which seemed to irritate maithili sooo much.
Pranay and bharat removed their shirts too.
Mallishka touched Pranay's forhead and felt it warm… "aare..tumhe toh bukhaar hai.."
M: oh…pranay has fever..take him to his room…if he stays here all of us can get fever…plus he needs rest.
Pranay and mallishka left quietly to Pranay's room leaving adi-mets and bharat-tannu in one room.
That was it! Bharat couldn't stand the silence anymore…tannu wasn't speaking, he wasn't speaking, they both were avoiding eye contact..he hated this…he was scared that what he did might ruin their friendship…
"tanu!" he finally spoke..almost shouted… "outside! I want to speak to you.."
tannu quietly followed him
once outside, there was an akward silence…suddenly bharat got on his knees and begged
"I'm sorry…I'm sorry…it was.." he got up "it was the rain…and you looked beautiful…and I couldn't control myself..and I was jealous and …I'm sorry!!" he said it al in one breath which made tannu laugh. Without saying anything else, she hugged him, and tightly…
Bharat smiled and hugged her back, what both of them didn't realise was that bharat was shirt-less, tannu's hair was dripping wet and they were standing in the middle of the corridor hugging.
As soon as reality struck, tannu jolted back.. "um…sorry…i…don't do that again!"
"woah!!you were the one to hug me!" bharat said
"ya…but you kissed me first.!!" Tannu replied
"and you weren't exactly angry about that were you!!" bharat said in a cocky tone
"but you'ye th eone who begged!!"
"well I was wrong then wasn't I!!"
seing that tanu was loosing the battle, she defensively replied by changing the topic.. "you weren't a good kisser anyway!!!"
"oh really!!" bharat said narrowing his eyes
he was so mad at her…mad at himself..the way she accused him…didn't she understand!! I don't understand my self!! Idiot!! He scolded himself.
"well, maybe if you were actually kissing me! I could prove I was a better kisser!!! Not you just standing like a statue!!"
"oh yeah!" tannu seethed, saying so she lounged foreward, kissing bharat.
Bharat only too willingly grasped her in his arms and a very passionate kiss brewed between them.
They slowly parted looking into each other's eyes… "well… bharat whispered...i'm a better kisser after all" Tannu just looked upon him as he slowly left her.
This was the first time she failed to understand anything…for the first time everything seemed complicated.
"so…were still friends..??" she asked unsure
bharat smiled and opened the door… "of course we are…just don't mention the kiss…"
tannu smiled… "so, erase the kiss out of our memories..then!"
bharat nodded but a part of him felt sad for nodding.
Both of them went back into the room and behaved normally, like they would. Both sat on the bed together and flipped through the tv channels while having the side track of adi-maithili arguing on the couch.
"I can't believe how ungrateful you are!!" maithili moaned.. "I mean here I am helping you get better and all you do is moan!!"
adi frowned… "I don't like medicine!!"
"read my lips…I DON'T CARE!!!! Now drink the damn medicine!!
Maithili forced the medicine into adi's mouth and he decided it was best not to argue.
Maithili sighed after he had finally taken the dose.
"yeh ladka bhi na!!" she sighed and settled on the couch as she saw bharat and tannu sleeping soundly on the bed. She saw adi's eye lids getting heavy, he was feling sleepy she sensed. She smiled at his child-like behaviour and how she used to do exactly the same when she was ill. She remembered how her mom used to put her head on her lap and put her to sleep. So without thinking, maithili put a pillow on her lap and gently pulled adi onto the pillow, where he slept soundly.
"hmm..mamma…." he muttered as he fell asleep
