Chapter 16

In the mourning Adi woke up in maithili's lap and was so shocked, he felt rage at himself and at her, but it all melted as he lifted his head to see her face. She was smiling lightly in her sleep, she curled up a little and hugged the pillow. He remembered seeing his mother's face before going to sleep, he only just realised it was maithili. He smiled at the fact that she had taken care of him so much that he felt perfectly fine today. He glanced at the clock, it was only 7:00, he took the blanket and covered maithili in it.

He turned round to find bharat and tannu on the bed. His eyes narrowed seeing bharat's hand touching tannu's hand. Apart from that bharat and tannu were completely away from each other which made adi release his breath. He knew what he had to do now. There was no point in getting up so might as well sleep! But there was one little problem…where?

He smirked as he saw bharat mumble something in his sleep. He went to the bed and picked up bharat and carefully laying him on the floor. He next went to maithili and picked her up and laid her on the bed – which left the couch free for him to sleep on.
He smiled victoriously at what he did…bharat! Aab main dekhta hoon ke tu mere aur maithili ke photo ko kaise nahi deleat karoge!!

The clock struck 8:00….then 9:00…then 10:00… there was a loud bang on the door which woke up all four with a start. Bharat was especially startled along with maithili.
How did I get here? Both bharat and maithili spoke.
Bharat glanced over to the couch and found adi lying there trying to control his laugh. "AADIIII!!!" bharat shouted… Maihtili looked over at adi in a questioning look.
"umm…you were feeling uncomfortable on the couch, so…I put you on the bed, since bharat rolled off." Even maithili couldn't control her laughter and laughed out.
Bharat looked scandalized… "maithili di!! How can you side him!!!"

"bharat…I didn't know you were still a baby and rolled off you bed in the middle of the night while sleeping!" tannu joined in. Bharat glared at her. Maithili gasped as she looked at the time.. "oh no!!! miss Sarita said we all have to be downstairs at 9:30 or the buss would leave with out us, now the bus has gone!! All the others would be touring in the hill sides now!!"

"calm down calm down!" adi said sitting on the bed, so what if they have all left! We can spend today in the hotel! And tomorrow when everyone is in the hotel we can go out!"
Maithili nodded… but bharat spoke "what about pranay and mallishka!! They might have left in the coach"
Tannu laughed at that… "no…not unless pranay bhaiya has found an alternate way of waking her up."
"what does that men??" bharat questioned her…
"you wanna see…" maithili smirked

Aid, Maithili, Tannu and bharat banged on pranay's door and went in.
Pranay was steaming with anger and gritting his teeth "she won't wake up!!! No matter what I try!!! Look what she did!!!!!!!!" he said showing the others his favourite blue t-shirt ripped apart.
"how did that happen!!" bharat questioned Pranay enthusiastically. Pranay glared at Bharat. I screamed in her ear and she got up…only to take a shirt out of my wardrobe and rip it!!!!!!!!! Then go back to sleep again!!!!!!!!!
Adi burst out laughing… "you know bhai…she's the only one who can teach you a lesson… after all she's my best friend!!" "and she's my sis!!" maithili joined in.
Bharat shook his head and so did Tannu…both together said… "such a shame…" Pranay reach out to whack both of them but they ran away

"HOW DO I WAKE HER UP!!! You know… I give up!!! Maithili you wake her!!" pranay bellowed.
Maithili had never seen pranay so angry in her life… " you've started it…now you finish it!!…" she frowned
"oh really!!!!!" pranay said sarcastically "well thanks for the tips!!"
"bro…I'm gonna go down for breakfast…"adi said, maithili joined him and bharat and tannu decided to leave too.

Pranay sighed and sat on the bed next to mallishka, he dare not throw water on her, because he could only imagine the consequences to that. He looked at her sleeping face. She was so beautiful…no no no!! that witch!!! My shirt!! Pranay frowned, then an idea hit him. He leaned over her so his nose nearly touched hers. "mallishka…" he whispered. She stirred, she felt hot, his breath on her face sent shivers down her spine, she wondered where she was, curiosity took the better of her, she slowly opened her eyes.

She saw his face extremely close to hers. His breath warmed her skin, she closed her eyes and opened them again, she didn't know why but she smiled a little. She knew she would have screamed a few weeks back if any such thing happened, but now she smiled. Pranay would have just got up at this stage, but there was something about her eyes that lured him every single time.

He edged closer and closer until his lips were hovering over hers, he brushed her lips once, twice and then pressed his on hers. The kiss grew in strength, in passion and soon both were engulfed in each others arms. So much so, that they managed to roll off the bed. Mallishka was on top of pranay and she looked at him. Her face looked confused and his did too.

P: umm…you wanna go on a date with me this evening?
Mallishka laughed a little: I can't refuse after that!
Pranay smiled, the atmosphere lightened a little and he pushed a lock of her hair behind her ears…
"we need to go down before the others come up…" pranay said and mallishka obeyed. She got up to go to the bathroom but turned round
"sorry about your shirt…" She said looking guilty
Pranay laughed… "its ok"

Both pranay and mallishka came down looking unusually cheerful which made the others suspicious.
"what just happened to the shouting and screaming pranay which I saw 15 minutes ago??" bharat questioned pranay
but he simply replied… "a lot of things can change in 15 minutes!" he glance at mallishka and smiled while she blushed. She quickly resumed but not quick enough for maithili.
Maithili's eyes widened… did she just blush!!! OMG!!!

All six went to the pool after breakfast. The boys were in for big shocks.
"I can't swim!!!" Maithili shouted… "and I won't!!!" Adi's mouth flew wide open…
"but what of all those times you bragged on about swimming classes you used to take throughout last summer??" Adi questioned her
"oh that!!… those were good ways to bunk doing house chores…all I used to do was go out or play basket ball with bhai on the grounds!" Adi laughed and shook his head… "chupa rustam nikli!!! I never thought miss goody!! Had shades of grey!!" Maithili rolled her eyes and folded her hands

Bharat's shock was seeing Tannu in a swim suit. He knew she was hot and all but never in his wildest dreams could he imagine tannu in a swim suit, she had stopped swimming once she reached the age of 15 where she took basketball as an interest and never did he see her in a swim suit after that!

Pranay was blown away by mallishka's appearance and simply grinned. Mallishka smiled back and lowered her eyes.
Both pranay and mallishka dived into the pool followed by tannu and bharat. But maithili stayed behind and so did adi.
" listen maithili, i…I wanna help you…" Adi said… "huh!!" maithili was totally shocked… "you…help me??"
"yes..its because you…last night!…you took care of me even though you hate me and I appreciate you for that" Adi said with a lot of courage
maithili smiled " I bet that took a lot of courage!"
adi sighed… "yeah it did!"
Maihitli stood up and went to the pool… " so you want to help me swim or not?"
Adi turned round and smiled… "sure…"
"oh and adi…who said I hated you?" saying so she got into the shallow end of the pool
