After idk how many days or weeks...I loved today's episode (minus the sadeley oranges)!!❤️

Loved the way veena lost her cool and called spade a spade. No sugarcoating talks. Yes, she was always a supportive lady n Sona must have talked to her before leaving. Netra not being able to pull off the drama without her for one day itself is not acceptable for me, Sona giving into this was another unacceptable thing. But the way they justified it today was what I was waiting to hear since forever. Sona needed to hear it from a mother's pov. I loved it that veena was not just throwing a tantrum for the sake of it, she spoke her real feelings and forgave her with a hug. That's how moms are. I m so glad suman didn't speak non sense like meri beti ki Galti maaf Karna n all. She has given all the motherly rights to veena. As much as she expects her to love her daughter, she also expects her to scold her and give her the advice that she may need at times. The part of suman as a strong mother that I love! And that was some touch of reality to this dramatic wedding!!!

And another beautiful scene was that of Ronakshi's. I had said this some days back when I was trying to understand and defend Sona's workoholic behaviour during the wedding preps. She was always brought up in a way that she believes work comes first and that is how u have to fulfil ur responsibilities. Though she immensely loves her family, for her, family equals to working hard for them. She doesn't understand what veena said that family comes before work. She doesn't know how to manage relationships. I expected Rohit to be a little mad at her, but the way he talked was even more beautiful. Looking at her condition and after knowing what all she went through in a day, no loving husband will be able to be mad at her. But I liked that they both addressed the mistakes and expectations. I m glad that Rohit addressed the differences between her family and his. Like I had said before, Rohit has been brought up in a joint family where everybody is different, their nature, thoughts, lifestyle everything is different, yet he has seen how they unconditionally love eachother and try to keep up with eachother's expectations, specially his mother. Hence he understands better than Sona to manage all the relationships better. She has promised him that she'll give her best to understand everybody and he has promised her his constant support. What can be a better end to this over dramatic wedding?😳

I was going to make a similar post. I was so happy to see that they openly addressed the fact that Sona made a mistake instead of defending it with the telecast issue. I didn't expect Rohit to say anything, seeing her condition. Infact I didn't expect anyone to say anything but it was good to see that Veena said whatever was on her heart instead of carrying this bitterness ahead.

The best thing is that atleast as of now they aren't trying to show Sona as the perfect bahu. She has been brought up in a nuclear family where all the responsibilities were on her shoulders. She never really had to go out of her way to maintain a work-life balance because her family never expected that from her for they didn't have the luxury for a leisure time. For probably the longest time money was more important than spending time with each other. They managed with whatever little they got to spend with each other.

But Sippy family is different. They have the means where they don't have to exhaust themselves and their family time for money. Ofcourse they are all busy professionals but they know how to maintain a balance. Sona is not just a part of a new family but she is moving from a nuclear atmosphere to a joint family. She was kind of a head in her family, the only earning member. Here it's not the same and it will obviously take time for her to adjust and learn. Like Rohit said there are so many people in his family and everyone has their own perspectives and thinking. Most of the ITV shows portray the female lead as the perfect bahu who doesn't just blends into the new family but also somehow turns into the go to person who can never go wrong. Unknowingly they also build this impression of perfect bahu in the viewer's head who just doesn't exist. Marriage is very difficult for girls because they don't just leave their parents but become a part of this new family.

I am hoping that instead of showing Sonakshi as Parvati, the perfect bahu, they will portray her as a girl who makes mistakes and learn from them.
