Thank you all for your kind words. It means a lot. I am quite a slow writer and the worst one too. So bear with me. I will be posting the next part soon, actually, I kind of forgot the real plot so I had to come up with something.

It wasn’t a typical romantic night, the moon wasn’t shining up in the sky and there were barely any stars to spot. Sonakshi excused herself from the grand party thrown by city’s mayor, wandering in the garden sipping her red wine, probably thinking something which she herself had no idea about. She almost choked onthe last sip hearing a familiar sound after two years. ‘Boyfriend nahi aya tum hara saath mein?’ She turns around in bewilderment struggling with words. ‘Not today.’ She murmurs inaudibly unaware of her brimmed eyes, which screamed how much she missed him, his taunts, his jibes, his voice, his face and that smile.It was unbelievable for her it still had that charisma to flutter her heart. ‘Tum bh to akelay ho doctor surgeon, girlfriend kahan hai tumhari.’

‘MeraySaamnay.’ Her skipped a beat at that moment but she knew he was kidding. Sonakshi burst into fake laughter wiping a tear from the crook of her eye before he could spot it. ‘Bako mtt, Raima kesi hai?’

‘Khush hai, she gave birth to twins 5 months back, Dad ne hi delivery ki th.’ He looked at her pensively, reading her expressions while telling her whatever she wanted to hear. ‘Congra----‘ Rohit pulls her towards him instinctively, the calmness in these eyes vanished within seconds. ‘Why did you leave?’ He shoutsas tears formed in his eyes. ‘Yakeen nhi tha shayad tum pr.’ She stammers,truthfully scared of his anger which she was avoiding for last two years. ‘Even though you knew how much you meant to me?’

‘I thought what you felt for me was temporary, you’ll leave again once you realizeRaima is the one you actually cared for.’

‘Sona your decision ruined two lives. Raimahad to stay with me in a loveless relationship for months scarring her more.’

Rohitfrees sonakshi of his hold, weeping silently. ‘Kesi hai ab wo.’ Sonakshi asks wiping off her tears, Rohit was struggling to understand what did she want to hear. Wasn’t it enough for her that she was happy, married off to someone else, living a joyous life with her sons in Scotland? ‘Khush hai, Vikrant acha lrka hai, daantti rehti hai mujhay ke kyun nhi wapis bula leta mein tumhe.’

‘To phr kyun nhi bulaya?’

‘Tumharaywo boyfriend se darta hun, wese kahan hai wo? Dekha interviews mein, mein newahan to bada-----‘ Before he could complete, sona runs and hugs him inconsolably. ‘Araam se, we only have one heart surgeon in this party, if he dies you can’t even become parvati to save him this time.’ Sonakshi looks at exasperated breaking the hug, annoyed at his ability to ruin this moment of romance with his third-class humor. ‘Hunh.’

‘Woab superwoman parvati nahi ho na tum, Superstar ho. Superstar Soankshi Rastogi,Film Actress.’ She smiles, feeling a need to admit how she much she missed him,how much she wanted to talk to him all these years but her ego never allowed her to. At this moment if he wasn’t being an arse she’d have confessed all those feelings, all those confessions she dreamt about. ‘Chalen.’ He holds her hand firmly asking her politely. ‘Kahan?’

‘Dosaal ka hisaab brabar karnay.’
