As I didn't watch today's episode I have nothing to say...So I'm just going to do my Gungun analysis, because this week might be terrible... Kidnapping...

And also, what I write is what I feel, I know well that you like Gungun, but be tolerant with my thoughts ^^

Gungun, Gungun, Gungun...

Here is a woman who is multifaceted, when you remove one,you always discover a new one. But not in a bad way. Our heroine does not have an ounce of malice in her. She is cheerful, naive, tender, with a heart of gold, etc.

Let's start removing its facets one by one.

On the first facet, we find a carefree and free girl who lives her life fully day by day. She is modern, she lives in her time with her gadgets (social networks, her phone, parties with friends...), why surround herself with people who will put a black cloud in her life?

  • But living this way is also a way for her to fill a void.
  • Our Gungun is an only child, she has a careerist mother, who seems to hate her existence and even wants to keep her as anobject, "her trophy", to shape her as she feels, her puppet, her "doll".

The second facet, a loving woman, who when she loves, she does so with all her heart, but when she hates, she does so in the same way. With her, it's easy to know where you're going, no bad surprises.

  • She has made her father her world (daughters are always close to their father), she will always do what he says, she knows he will always have his hand on her head and she will always find his shoulder to cry on and above all he will always have the right words to make her see the world. So that's why she hasn't talked too much about marriage with Anubav.
  • But at the same time, she hasn't known what a family is like so many people in one house "OMG", but she has found awarmth that she has never known in her life, so she opens up to that world.
  • She wants to receive and pass on the love she has inside her, so despite a chaotic start, she didn't take it too hard.
  • But his world collapses when his father dies. Her land mark disappears. But during this time, she discovers that she has a world in Anubav. She received her world on the same day that her world disappeared. What a cruel game of fate!

The third facet, she is naive. We saw this in the episode where she asks Anubav for advice on how to get her mother back, who has supposedly turned nice.

  • Gungun who doesn't think bad, she doesn't necessarily see the bad, but I would say doesn't know how to judge people...
  • If the person is not up front with her. Maya 'knows' her daughter. She knows that Gungun is thirsty for her love, so that's why she played this double game with her. She destroys Gungun's trust, she plays with the fact that her daughter is not very 'enlightened' to make her her puppet.
  • Gungun's naivety is charming in a way, but in another way it plays a bad trick on her. Like the gang of friends around her, they only take advantage of her, you just get the impression that she laughs like afool and accepts it easily... That's how Ronnie thought he was making her his golden goose...

The fourth facet, Gungun, is a woman who has a persistent insecurity within her. She looks like she's immature, but in fact she just doesn't dare. Maybe because Maya crushed her in a way that we can't understand, maybe just, she is a coward to see the "world"...

  • She was often seen turning to those close to her for advice. She doesn't dare to make a decision on her own. I'm not saying that's bad, but I would like her to be an actor in her life and not let others make decisions for her.
  • We've seen every time she decided on something it ended badly. Let's talk about her suicide attempts... the one when her father died. Her world disappeared, the earth disappeared under her feet. She doesn't have the strength to face life without him...
  • Then her world arrived, Anubav is slowly putting things back on track, but Ronnie shows up with his blackmail... The earth is shaking, she is unstable, she loves, she is faithful, she doesn't want to betray herself and especially Anubav, so she opens the trap door!
  • (I use the word "weak" but you shouldknow that it takes "strength" to decide to stop your life, but I'mnot debating that here... So please don't make it a "polemic"...)!
  • She sinks, she floats, but in all this. She has taken promises from Anubav's hand, she lets him do it, she wants the certainty thatit will remain her world (I'll talk about dependence later), so she is never anactor in her life, except this one is not threatened by Ronnie, and again it isto protect Anubav and not to save herself...

The fifth facet, Gungun, has a heart on her sleeve. Too kind, too stupid! She has a kindness that makes me feverish!

  • If YOU is kind to her then she will just be absorbed in that kindness, and trust with her eyes closed.
  • Let's say that this is what happened with the K family. They may have had little prejudices, but they came to accept her, to give her love, and then suddenly to take it all back, without resentment, she continued to love them, to respect them, to think of their welfare....
  • I'm not saying she should be angry with them, but I think she's making sacrifices to them that they don't deserve.

The sixth and last facet I will talk about (I mentioned it above), Gungun is a dependent person. She too easily makes a person her centre. And I understand, it's the lack of love that does this.

  • Maya destroyed her daughter! Gungun became attached to her father, she made him her world, she was dependent on him, like with Garima. When this person leaves, she drifts, she does not know what to do.
  • Yes, she lost her father, it's very sad, she's hurting, but I felt that Gungun just lost everything she had. (I'm not saying she did "too much", but the death of her father is not only the loss of a parent, it was of a degree beyond psychological compression...)
  • Now she becomes dependent on Anubav, yes he is her husband, she has only him in this world (we don't count Maya, she is useless...) so she revolves around him, Anubav is her sun. You don't like to see her cry, I understand, but personally, I don't feel anything like that forher. I'm going to be hard on her, but I want her to be an actor in her life! No sacrifice, no waiting! Yes, it's normal to wait for Anubav to speak and act, but you have to be next to him and not behind him! Because that's what Gungun does, she walks in Anubav's footsteps and not hand in hand with him.

I have detailed the six facets of her that I found most important.

Gungun is a woman/child. She is endearing, she is awhole lot of things.

But what I don't like isthat we play with her life, she has no control over herself except to try to kill herself...

The character of Gungunis a character that, frankly, I don't like too much. Not in a bad way, but apart from when she is with Anubav, I find her... EMPTY! Really, she can have all the qualities of the earth, as long as she doesn't fight for something herself, I'm not likely to give her my unconditional support!

She is still a young woman but cannot be independent nor use her common sense or money/power for her own benefit.

Sometimes it's so silly that she is that rich but instead of focusing on managing her father's hospital or trying to complete her education, she is obsessed with sindoor.

She is way too dumb also since she believes all Anubhav's promises. 🤪 She is indecisive cos she doesn't know whether she wants to be Anubhav's wife or save Akriti's wedding. She cannot make a decision and stick to it, she is too emotional and weak (she didn't even try to stay away from Anubhav, one confession and she is ready to lay down her life for him).

She sacrifices for the wrong persons and never tries to stand up for herself, do something for herself.

However, despite all these , she is still the least annoying character in this whole show.

Loved your analysis....👍🏼

Beautifully written...❤️

For me at just 21she is facing too much in one go....that is why she is having suicidal tendencies. But slowly she will learn I think. I want her to learn to give it back to those people who hurts her.

ITV and their love of making a mockery of everything real.

It's not even fantasy that we can suspend our beliefs. This is simply atrocious.

@ReadLo, you write so well. Thanks for tagging me. Appreciate it.

Age is not everything. It's the trials of life.

Here we have Gungun who has been protected all her life. So she grew up carefree. And her suicidal tendencies are not linked to her age either, but to her insecurity and lack of self-esteem. She doesn't know how to fight for herself.

You're right, his money is useless except for throwing me out the window (oops in Ronnie's pocket)...

She is not indecisive in either being Anubav's wife or saving Akriti's marriage.

She just doesn't want to do any harm (this is where my too nice, too dumb part comes in), because in the end, she's still living her love with Anubav.

@bold: Absolutely spot on! I too want GG to take charge of her life. We did get to see that for a brief period when she asked Anu to not come to meet her and contact her ever. She wanted to get out of this mess but in the hindsight if you see it wasn't because she thought it was best for her but it was to protect Anubhav.

That's it.... She takes a back seat to others and that's what gets me about her character...!
