First of all I would like to thank wanderlust05 and iam_aheli_98 for helping me on how to post a story (sorry guys don't know your real name that's why)
Hey guys, I joined this forum for KKIS but stopped watching after the party episodes, still I used to read the updates once in awhile to see if the story is improved, but I abandoned all hopes after reading today’s updates so as a closure to this show and Anugun I wrote this little piece. I know a lot of people are leaving this show and I hope this story provides them some closure.
This story takes place after Gungun comes to know about Anubhav and Aakriti marriage and also in this story Gungun is not shedding any tears and her bua and papa are fully supporting her.
“Gungun, can you wait for a bit, I have to talk to you about something,” Saanvi said coming towards her. Saanvi, being around the same age as her was more like her friend than a student, Gungun smiled and said, “Yeah sure, I’ll just see other students out and then come back to you.” Waving good bye to the last of students Gungun came towards Saanvi, “So did you have a doubt in any pose, we can go over any pose you want.” Saanvi shook her head and chuckled, “Oh God Gungun come out of your yoga teacher mode and into my friend mode okay.” “Okay done bye-bye teacher mode”, Gungun said waving her hand, “and tada here is your friend, now will you tell me what’s going on.”
Saanvi took out a card from her bag and handed it to Gungun, “Here this is my wedding invitation.” “Oh my God Saanvi, you are getting married, Congratulations!” Gungun hugged her friend excitedly and asked, “So who is the lucky guy, I had no idea that there was a boy in your life.” “Even I had no idea that there will be a boy in my life till a few weeks ago. It’s actually an arranged marriage.” Saanvi said blushing a little, “Wow Saanvi only a few weeks that’s fast, are you sure about this guy?” Hearing Saanvi speak about her quick arranged marriage was opening up some bitter memories in Gungun’s heart and she didn’t want her friend to go through the same. Saanvi smiled seeing the concern in her friend’s eyes and reassured her, “Yes Gungun I am sure. Shubham is actually not exactly as I imagined my life partner. You know he is this uptight, chashmish, scholar kind of a guy, but somehow we go together well, we both understand and trust each other and I think maybe we can fall in love too.” Gungun was trying very hard to keep her smile intact but Saanvi’s words were reminding her a little too much of someone from her past, still she smiled at Saanvi and said, “That’s wonderful Saanvi, trust should definitely be the foundation of a marriage, I am really happy for you.” “Great now you have to promise me that you will not only attend my wedding but also all my wedding functions, and who knows maybe we can find a hot body builder for this sexy yoga instructor from the wedding party,” Saanvi said with a wink. Gungun rolled her eyes at this, “Ho gaya tumhara, let’s go I have to lock the class to too.” Smiling and laughing both of them left.
That night as Gungun laid in bed with Saanvi’s wedding invitation in her hand, Saanvi’s words were still ringing in her ears, ‘uptight, chashmish, scholar kind of a guy’. Gungun could see the face of her own chashmish in the card, well he was not hers, not for the past two years, maybe he never was hers. Anubhav and his family’s harsh words and accusing tone may not bring tears to her eyes anymore, like it would have two years ago, but she still felt pain at that. She had loved his family like it was hers, and thought that they felt the same, she may not have loved Anubhav, but she trusted him and had hoped that he understood her to a certain extent, had even shared her fears regarding her mother with him, but he had just thrown everything in her face, still she was ready to apologize to him seeing as it was her own mother who had insulted them, but all her hopes were dashed when she saw that he was the one marrying Aakriti. Cancelling their wedding was one thing but marrying her own cousin on the same day as their wedding was directly a taunt in her face. She had still held her head high in front of them at their sangeet and wished them good luck for their life and came back home, where she had broken down. She still thanked her stars that she had her bua with her who had broken all her ties with her own daughter to be with her, and hadn’t even attended her wedding, still Gungun couldn’t bear the pitying looks from her relatives, or her friends saying her good riddance, she was not ready to face the world and had just locked herself in her room. Seeing her condition her father and bua decided that a change of scenery and a fresh start was necessary for her and so within a week they packed everything up and moved to Mumbai.
Gungun smiled as she looked out of her window to the twinkling lights of Mumbai, a city that never sleeps. Gungun recalled the horror when she had first come to this crowded city, it seemed like there were people everywhere. She didn’t know how she would live at place like this where there was not even one familiar face, but the upside to that was no one knew about her failed wedding here, she was just another face in the crowd. Soon Mumbai became her second chance, her saviour, here she could go out of her house without worrying about the neighbours, she could stroll in the park without the fear of someone recognising her and asking her unnecessary questions .Her papa had enrolled her in a college even when she refused and had forced her to go, but now she was glad that he did. At college she had met Nidhi who like her was a fitness enthusiast, together they had applied for a Yoga teaching certification and had completed the course along with their Bachelors. After that they joined hands for a business partnership and had opened up a Yoga class. After almost a year they now had a dozen regular students and were starting to make little profits. Her business may not be very big, but Gungun was happy that she able to take something that she loved and make a living out of it. She would have never found her own individuality if she had stayed in Lucknow, she could now see how her so called friends were holding her back from her full potential, but it wasn’t just her friends that she had left behind in Lucknow, it was her innocence too, though she was proud of her matured self now, she still sometimes missed the Gungun who saw everything through a rose tinted glass.
“Gungun, are you okay?” bua asked entering her room looking concerned. “Yes bua I am good, why are you asking?” “Because you were looking lost during dinner, are you sure it has nothing to do with this? ”Garima asked picking up Saanvi’s weeding card from the bed as she sat down .Gungun sighed, she knew there was no fooling her bua, she knew her better than herself, so she went and put her head in her lap, where she knew was a safe space and then proceeded to tell her everything about her day and how it made her feel. “It has been two years, I am doing good in my life and I am happy, I don’t miss him or pine for him, then why just hearing about Saanvi’s arranged marriage to a chashmish, scholar boy brought back these memories for me. I just don’t understand.” Garima was upset seeing Gungun like this, these two years she transformed so much that sometimes they all forgot what she had been through. Calming Gungun down she said, “Beta it’s true that you are doing great in your life and you might not miss him today, but once he was a big part of your life, and though you broke up you never got a chance to explain your side, in fact you both never sat down as adults and heard each other, everything happened too fast that you never got any closure. Maybe if you go back and talk everything out…” “No bua,” Gungun protested instantly standing up, “Closure or not whatever happened was in the past, I have no interest in going back to his happily married life for any talk what so ever, I have no interest in explaining myself to him, I would rather take having these memories come to surface from time to time. I am sure they will fade away with time.”
Garima was not so sure about it but she knew Gungun would not budge on this, bhaiyya too would not like the idea about going back to that family even for a day. Perhaps it was better to leave this matter here for now.
This is the first part and I will be putting down a second part hopefully by tonight itself. Please whoever reads this let me know about your thoughts even if you don't like something, I will try to change that in the second part.
PS- When I copied this from my word document many words stuck together even though it was fine in word, does this happen with some others too, if anyone knows how to solve it the please tell me, it was very tiring putting space again and again
