Life's a tragic comedy!

Hello my KT friends.
Simply here to inform you.
My everything: Laptop, Phone, Hard-drive, Cards and entire bag was stolen.
It was stolen while I was appearing for a midterm.
We were asked to put everything into our bags to avoid cheating.
Those bags were kept on the inside of the classroom door.
Somehow someone got access to that and stole my bag.
Couldn't take action till my midterm was over (2 hrs) and it was too late to catch them.
Blocked the cards immediately and went to the police to report the loss.
Had no means to communicate except for university computers which were in the library that I could not enter without my college id which was also stolen with the bag. I got a new one today. Just came back from the police station who said that as an International Student, I cannot file an official case and its unlikely to get my stuff back. I dont have any money at all, so I am living with my friend now for some days.
And basically my family refused to get me new items (they cannot transfer such a huge amount) so my communication will be limited now. I wont be able to see PMs as they are blocked from these computers, so please post the link if you want me to see something in this post if you could. That is my only request to you guys. Take care. God Bless.
Thanks,
Tannu

Omg Tannu
This is sad :/

Won't your university take any responsibility? Can't they file a case on your behalf?
Why were the bags left unsupervised? 🥱

I really really hope that u get ur things back. I'll pray for you.
Bas, just stay strong. You'll get through this InshAllah.

Dont worry. Everything will be okay soon.
This really sucks though. This isnt fair. Just because you're not a local, means everything can be stolen and you can't even get your stuff?!

Only your bag got stolen or other people's bags too?
Try asking your uni if they can do something

I genuinely wish u get through this and u figure out something asap.

If u need any emotional support, i'm right here <3

Thanks Mahirah.
They cannot file a report as I am not a citizen.
Bags were inside right next to the door of the classroom, not exactly unsupervised.
As I stated, I did contact the police who is affiliated with the university.
Had them even do a fingerprint scan as they left my notebook behind but that was unsuccessful. No CCTV cameras in that area too. Uni doesn't take responsibility for robberies. Only my bag was stolen. I need to show citizenship to get my case filed by the city police. Trying to be strong, but I am really tensed about my fate now.

Thanks Mithi. Unfortunately I did go to the campus police and filed a report, but nothing has come out of it. Uni does not take responsibility for such stuff. Its an open campus, they argued and so I should have apparently been more careful while keeping my bag before the midterm. Thanks for the support.

What? Open campus or not, they bore a responsibility especially if they have requested students to put their bags outside. Absolutely ridiculous.
