| Recently, TV actor Sachin Tyagi has been in the news for his alleged link-up with Rakshanda Khan.
While he has been termed an eligible bachelor in the past, Tyagi is in fact married and separated from wife Pallavi. He two daughters ' Pari (three-and-a-half) and Saadhvi (almost two) ' both stay with him. No happily ever after
Tyagi does not deny his separation or fatherhood. However, he refrained from going into the reasons for the split.
'The reasons are too personal; let's not get into that.' Pallavi visits the kids sometimes at Tyagi's flat in Four Bungalows, with lots of clothes and toys for the kids. 'But we'll never get together again, that's for sure,' he adds.
Sachin and Pallavi met at a club in Mumbai and were introduced by common friends. 'She was a friend of my friend's girlfriend,' Tyagi reveals. The couple married on June 26, 2000. Papa kehte hain
Life has not been easy on Tyagi. 'I never knew I would fall in love; leave alone get married and become a father so young,' says the 29-nine-year-old.
'Someone up there keeps changing whatever you plan. I desperately wanted to become a singer (he has cut an album for Times Music) but here I am, acting. Recently, I had taken a break from acting and was ready for my second album, when Tumhari Disha happened. Today, my first priority is to be the best father in the world.' Marry again? Never!
Tyagi says he would never consider marrying again. 'I am terribly hurt. Give me one good reason why I should remarry,' he asks. Errr how about Rakshanda Khan? 'Please. I don't know why people link us up. I did go to few parties with her and there was a time when we met at Caf' Coffee Day quite regularly.
But after reading about the link-up, I've almost stopped our acquaintance. She categorically asked me if I was crazy for backing off after being linked-up in the press. But I had a problem. Rakshanda is a friend and I am a responsible father.' vickey.lalwani@mid-day.com | https://ww1.mid-day.com/hitlist/2005/october/120984.htm |

LAST BUT NOT LEAST:
"Lyricist Sachin Tyagi writes the jazzy number ' Sama Gayi Meri Dhadkan Mein ' that is composed as a vintage western number with violins, tap dance, drum beats and the works. Singing and chorus is also akin to the 50s style and the number does sound interesting. "
Album name for song is "'Kiss Kis Ko ' is a film featuring 'Band Of Boys' as themselves. "
Lukewarm event
| The Friday gig featuring 'A Band of Boys' and newcomer Sachin Tyagi at TI had a mixed response. |
CENTRE STAGE: The synchronous steps of the five was remarkable. A FRIDAY before the new year, and when you thought the gigs were picking up, the evening featuring A Band of Boys and launching of new comer Sachin Tyagi at Treasure Island (TI) got a lukewarm response, with a thin audience present for the event. Was it the exodus to other partying destination, a low-key publicity or unimpressive line-up, one pondered? The first part of the show featured Tyagi who belted numbers from his album (to be launched around Valentines Day next) that looked promising. But his rendition of the Western numbers and medley of Bollywood hits needed an improvement -- the saving grace was the sound system of TI, and the cinders that kept the revellers huddled for warming up in the winter nights' chill.
RISING STAR: Sachin Tyagi did the opening act. As for A Band of Boys who took centre stage next, the line up reflected their debut album philosophy Kabhi yeh kabhi woh, starting with the rendition of the Kishore Kumar tracks such as Jaane jaan on a faster feel-good rhythm, followed by an original Meri neend to an impromptu Lady in red. The synchronous steps of the five some, like in their do at the video, was remarkable though they need to work on the other songs apart from their originals and on their attitude as well. The wannabe 'Beatles' have a long way to go to touch the hearts of the music lovers. S.F

"Times Group artiste Sachin Tyagi is known to be very close to The Band of Boys and is a trained singer. He has performed in many shows, both in India and abroad. He was supposed to come out with an album, a venture that did not meterialise. "
