Next morning, Dadi is calling Poonam, but there's no sign of her. Jyoti comes in asking what it is, and Dadi tells her that the demand for the paper bags has gone up to 2000 (Time to start hiking prices... nope scratch that, there's no way Jyoti's going to treat this like a... business 😆) Jyoti volunteers to get to work. Dadi asks her about her meeting w/ the guy who offered help, but Jyoti, as usual, is in a zombie mode, this time looking pretty constipated and doesn't answer. Deepu calls her and asks her as well what Kumar-sa said, but Jyoti tells him that she'll tell him later. (Incidentally, Deepu mentions that he's coming w/ his mom, so Padma may be back 😒) Reshmi comes in and Jyoti tells her that Deepu told her that he knows the police commissioner's secretary.
Reshmi tells her that she has faith that Kumar-sa would be the one able to deliver, and if Jyoti didn't mind, could she go herself to meet her? Jyoti is apprehensive about what might happen if Kumar-sa hears her name from Reshmi, but after some thinking, decides to let Reshmi go. Reshmi calls Kabir's assistant and is given an appointment today itself. Dadi is thrilled to hear that, and wishes her well. After Reshmi leaves, Dadi asks Jyoti why she is behaving so strangely. Jyoti avoids answering, and goes to her room. She could have gone w/ Reshmi, but didn't - what's the deal?
In the Jodhpur haveli, Sumer gets a note of this, and tells his men to make sure the bird doesn't fly i.e. Jyoti doesn't make it to Kabir. He looks up and sees a panic stricken Bhavri, who flees to the kitchen on seeing him and joins Asha. Bhavri describes her fears to Asha, and is apprehensive that someone is being targeted for elimination.
Dadi in the meantime, is pressing Jyoti for an answer, telling her that there is nothing she can conceal from her (Not that that's ever stopped Jyoti from trying) Jyoti begs her not to force her, but Dadi forces her 😆 Dadi demands to know why Jyoti didn't go to meet Kumar-sa, and finally, Jyoti blurts out that Kumar-sa was none other than Kabir. Dadi is thrilled 😆👏
Jyoti tells Dadi that Kabir has become very popular, but that she cannot go to meet him, for the usual reasons. Dadi is thrilled that her prayers have been answered (Dadi, if you can go the last mile and force Jyoti to do what you want, then only will the prayers be complete - or else, your dear pauti will go on her diatribes against your devtas) She gives Jyoti all the symbolology involved - how it was a sign from the gods, etc etc. Jyoti protests that she will only bring him embarrassment, but Dadi tells him that the entire world cannot give Kabir the happiness that she would give him. She asks Jyoti whether she's managed to forget him @ all - every now & then, she converses w/ his photo.The mention of the photo makes Jyoti look up, and notice it's missing - Reshmi has stolen it 👏
Indeed, Reshmi had, and in the car, she's looking @ the 2 photos of Jyoti & Kabir, and noting that despite being in so much pain herself, Jyoti was still fighting for her. Reshmi says that now, she'll be the one trying to help Jyoti - she will connect Jyoti w/ her love 👏 At home, Jyoti is panic stricken @ the thought of Reshmi showing Kabir the photos, and bringing him to her, and Dadi is thrilled @ the idea 👏 (this scene was priceless - Jyoti panic stricken, and Dadi in such a celebratory mood) Jyoti tries to argue, saying that if they were destined to unite, then the shagun wouldn't have gone back to Kabir's house empty, they wouldn't have had to leave their home in the dead of night, and nor would her father have left them.
In the haveli, chachi-sa is taunting the mayor, telling him that Kabir has gone to the city that Jyoti is, will return w/ her, and he'll have to bow to his wishes, since Kabir is the new face of the party. While her Ragini... RP has a meltdown, and tells her that she's day & night nagging him w/ the ragas of Ragini 😆🤣 (While I normally disdain this mayor, I love it when he's sarcastic @ his bhabi. Just wish he'd tell her to jump off a rock as far as Kabir's marriage goes.) She hardly gives him any opportunity to think of Jyoti. Sumer displays his bravado again, and RP sarcastically tells him to bring her here, so that he's saved the cost of a rope. He then tells Sumer that w/ great difficulty, the image of his party has been salvaged, courtesy Kabir, and that if there was any scandal, that would bring him down. Chachi-sa mentions that Jyoti does have to be eliminated, and this pisses off RP (not the elimination part, but rather, the mere mention of her) Chachi tells him that if he doesn't do something soon, it won't be long before his words come true. She storms out of there, and RP gets a phone call from his aide, who tells him that there have been 3 bomb blasts in Jaisalmer, and that the entire law & order machinery are on high alert. This gives the illustrious mayor of Jodhpur an idea. He asks Sumer to tell his people to pull it off, using the fact that there have been bomb blasts already to cover this. As Sumer leaves, he decides he has to pull Kabir out of there.
Kabir is w/ his aide, fixing the details of Reshmi's appointment. Just then, he gets a call directly from his dad, urging him to come home right away due to the security situation. Reluctantly, he agrees.
In the meantime, Jyoti is in an auto, and urges it to speed (incidentally, Jyoti, what happened to the good ole scooter? Left it in Udaipur? Some more stupid flashback scenes, which I won't bother to recount here.)
At Kabir's office, Reshmi has arrived and is headed to Kabir's office, as Kabir is being evacuated in his car. As his car pulls away, Reshmi, among others chases it, and unlike the other people who are shouting 'Kumar-sa', she's shouting 'Kabir-ji'. On hearing it, Kabir stops the car and meets her, and Reshmi introduces herself. Kabir asks her how she found out about him, and she gives him an envelope, w/ 2 photos in it. Kabir sees the first one of himself, and then the 2nd one of Jyoti.
Just then, Jyoti arrives, shouting Reshmi, in the hope of stopping her. One of Sumer's security men has a gun pointed right @ her (If you need to use the law & order cover to off her, wouldn't it be more convincing to pull off a bomb blast instead? Don't tell us you care about all the innocent bystanders) Instead, she runs right into Kabir. The episode ends w/ the 2 of them staring @ each other, totally shocked!!!
Finally, they were made to meet. This wait is now over, and if Jyoti is determined to break her promise to Kabir, the least she needs to do is come clean. And once the Vikrant secret is discovered, Kabir should ask Jyoti that if she can't fulfill his expectations, why should Vikrant fulfill Reshmi's? Incidentally, Reshmi was the hero today, totally sabotaging Jyoti's hiding from Kabir. Well, if Jyoti can intrude into her life to the extent she has, then why not Reshmi?
If Chachi-sa thinks she's had it bad in her lack of success in getting Ragini & Kabir, I can't wait to see her when she finds out that Reshmi is her bahu, and if she doesn't accept her, the consequences will be dire. I do hope that Jyoti doesn't buy off Vikrant by offering chachi-sa that she'll force Kabir to marry Ragini instead. If she does, I'll root for Sumer to shoot her on the spot. Instead, Reshmi should make Jyoti marry Kabir as a reward for forcing Vikrant to acknowledge her, if he happens to do it.
Please, get this over w/ now - even the actors can't stick w/ the show anymore. Today, Poonam, despite being called, didn't appear, and there was just a passing reference to Padma. Get Jyoti married to Kabir, Reshmi accepted by Vikrant, and wind up the show.
