jyoti is a true idiot for NOT accepting kabir. i mean come on, he is a great guy and he is willing to give his name to the kid, but nooooo jyoti is trying to be all mahan and not need anyone. Dumb jyoti, I am getting sick of her 🤬, and this show is starting to get boring. How long has this track been running, about her getting married to kabir, i mean come on. If Pankaj comes back into jyoti's life again, I am going to stop watching this show.

i actually liked her reasoning ..... but only, if she tells pankaj to go to hell when he comes back crying :) ..... All her bhaari-bharkam words are useless if she goes running back to pankaj as soon as he says sorry ...... which is more than a likely scenario ....
........i mean if they can show sushma go back to brij who beat up his wife and sold her for money, then pankaj is nothing ....... all her family is going to say - if sushi can forgive brij, if you approve of brij then why not pankaj ...... urgghhhh! pathetic storyline the creatives are heading for ....

Speaking of idiocy, why does Jyoti get flashbacks of the negatives that complete strangers say about her? I've had tiffs w/ strangers, and after it's done, I don't think about them a second time. I can understand Jyoti having flashbacks of Brij, Sushma, Padma, Pankaj & Poonam, but what I can't understand is her having a flashback of what Tripathi said about her.

Well I don't agree to this,
Moving on from one man and then settling down with another is certainly not a great thing to do,
Jyoti should not marry Kabir just because she doesn't have anybody else
She should try to work and set an example for everybody by achieving independence for herself and her child and defy the male chauvinistic approach that women can't survive without someone in her life

But her kid will need a father as well. Had Jyoti not been pregnant, I'd have agreed w/ you above. But I don't agree now, since she's neither aborting, nor adopting it out, nor re-marrying. Being a parent is hard enough: being a single parent is next to impossible, and reason for a great deal of sociological tensions in societies where it's endemic.

But I think that's what the show is trying to portray,
The ability of a woman to stand up against all odds and make a name and place for herself in the society on her own, not with the help of a husband or a boyfriend.

If its only about the child and not Jyoti's independence then very soon a realisation of Truth by Pankaj is on the cards.... The best decision for Jyoti should be to go back to Pankaj for her child's bright and safe future, Hai Na???
And by letting another man in her life just for her child's future when his biological father is ready to accept it is total foolery
This from a single-parent's point of view

Par hum sab jaante hain ki Jyoti ke bacche ke liye sabse sahi decision hote hue bhi Jyoti ke liye ye sahi nahi hai.
She should not forgive Pankaj so easily.
So she should be concerned about her independence and self-will and not being a relationship-jumpee and take chances each time

Generally, the reason this - the ability of a woman to be independent and stand up on her own 2 feet - is an issue is that ostensibly, nobody questions whether a guy can be independent and do the same - it's a given!

But normally, you don't have guys being single dads - more often than not, when they are single, they don't have kids. I know in real life, widowers w/ kids are exceptions, but they're hardly noticed. But in case of women, there is this lingering question-mark about whether a woman can do it on her own?

In this show itself, Kalpana is an illustration that one can! Her mom is an illustration that a woman can do it w/o her hubby (actually, it's a lot more difficult, but while we are in fantasyland...) And one wants to demonstrate how a woman can be a good businesswoman and mother, why not showcase Bhairavi, who's a tycoon, and a mom on steroids - managing her son's & nephew's marriages, divorces and what have you! Great role models right there 😈

But back to the point - when they want to show a woman being independent while supporting her kid as well, and comparing it against a guy, that's not an apples to apples comparison. Apples to apples would be a widow/divorcee w/ a kid vs a widower/divorcee w/ a kid, while oranges to oranges would be a single childless woman vs a single childless guy. Example of the latter would be Kalpana vs Kabir. No examples of the former, since we don't have any single men w/ kids in this show. KK might have been, had he never taken the easy way out and married Padma, but instead, raised Jyoti & Sudha all by himself. Incidentally, that's another justification Jyoti has - yeah, there's no guarantee that Kabir will be to her kid what Padma was to Jyoti & Sudha, but there is no guarantee that he won't be either. And Jyoti has to take the best decision for this kid.

I agree with you Jyoti is no fool. She's only trying to become independent. If believing in one's self is foolishness then you can call it. She is challenging the typical roles of women (stereotypes in our society). I would call her a fool if she goes back to Pankaj.

jyoti is better off single......Kabiir is a great guy but sumhow even back then pankaj was very considerate before their marriage......
I guess wen families get involved.....men tend to give more priority and trust to their family than their wives......so wen jyoti says that whats the guarantee of the marriage working out with kabir......she isnt quite wrong!!!
Kabir is a very caring n understanding guy.......but so was pankaj before their anniv.....infact jyoti quite neglected him n his family (though unintentionally).....yet he was supportive......
Neways I think jyoti is not wrong if she prefers to be single.....atleast for now.....
