May 4, 2010 Written Update

Brij goes to the temple at night again thinking about how he can never be forgiven and leaves all his money there. A pundit comes there and assures Brij that like all others, he will also find guidance here. (teehee... i find it hilarious that there's conveniently a pundit there to give some advice whenever someone is at the temple) He gives Brij back the money and tells him to give this money to people who really need it. At Kabir's house, Kabir is thinking about Jyoti. He then talks to God and tells him that he has a gut feeling that Brij really has reformed and he deserves a second chance.

The next morning Brij leaves his money in the crib in front of an orphanage and rings the bell, and then runs away. The owner comes outside and sees the money, then thanks the person who left it. Brij later finds Jyoti and walks up to her, begging to give him a chance to say something. Jyoti threatens to call the police but Brij says he wants to tell her something about Kabir. He tells her that Kabir is a very caring person and came upon Brij when he was really sick, took him to the hospital and saw the picture of Sushma that was with him... and that's how he realized who he was. Jyoti slaps him and tells him to stop lying, and then drives away on her scooty. (funny how she has all this attitude when he's being nice, but never did when he actually deserved it!!!)

Kabir is waiting at Brij's front door when Brij arrives home. Brij explains how he went to talk to Jyoti, but to no avail. He tells Kabir how he gave away all his money to an orphanage, but Kabir assures him that for money, he'll always be there for him.

The next morning Sushma wakes up late and Jyoti asks her to get dressed so she can go to school. Padma and Dadi refuse, saying Brij is out of jail and will try to harm Sushma. Jyoti tells them all that Sushma's exams are coming up and its very important. Deepu rolls his eyes and walks out of the room, with Poonam in tow. (what was that all about...?)Sushma announces that she won't be going to school anymore and walks off. Jyoti goes to her room and Sushma locks the door behind her. She tells her that today she is going to tell her something that she knows she will be looked down upon for doing. She explains that she's giving her child away to a childless family. Jyoti is stunned.

Precap: Jyoti inquires about the people Sushma is giving her child to.

Comments: I'm confused at mainly one point in today's episode... why is Sushma giving up her education just because she's decided to give away her child? Doesn't she want to make a living for her own and not be dependant on Jyoti/Deepu for the rest of her life?? Was the child the only reason she decided to restart her studies again..?😕

CVs are losing it.

Brij...pl go to Pankaj and tell him the truth if you are so reformed.

Yuck...I refuse to torture myself anymore by watching such bs.

I mentioned this in my post - St Brij: a guy who seems to be an avowed atheist and disparaged gods even on religious occasions decides to atone @ a temple? A guy who thought nothing about pimping his wife now decides to leave that ill gotten cash @ an orphanage? I can understand the CV's having a poor imagination, but to show this sort of bull-shit as an illustration of the truth of Kabir's inane statement about dacoits becoming saints is beyond assinine.

To be fair, Jyoti never treated Brij well once he cheated on her w/ Sushma: she always gave him an attitude. But the point is well taken - Jyoti never showed this attitude to Bhairavi or Padma, who were just as deserving, nor did she show it to Sushma when she was regretful. Also, Jyoti has this tendency of being mean to those who are nice to her, and nice to those who are mean to her. I mean, Pankaj would richly deserve this treatment.

But back to this - it was funny how Jyoti didn't notice the difference b/w Brij's reaction to this slap, vs the previous 2 times she slapped him

This is part 2 of that bull-shit I was referring to above: Brij tells Kabir that he has given away his ill-gotten money, and what's more, he won't accept money from Kabir either. Instead, he will get treated, but w/ money he gets by working honestly. So let me get this right - a guy who pimped his own wife, and used blackmail to first successfully destroy Jyoti's marriage, and then followed it up by regularly blackmailing Bhairavi, guaranteeing himself a lifetime supply of cash whenever he wanted it (as long as CM is alive) now thinks it beneath him to accept charity from a stranger? Now I've seen everything! 😕🤔

This (Sushma declaring her intention to adopt out her baby) was actually the one positive of this episode, and I thougth it was Sushma @ her best. This time, she firmly shut up Jyoti's 'mein hoon na', and spelt out exactly what she had decided, despite the fact that she could be hated for doing that. By spelling out how what she was doing was in the best interests of her child's future, she's essentially put the kabash on Jyoti negating her decision and forcing another burden on the family.

I agree w/ you about the studies, though. Hopefully tonight, Jyoti accepts her decision on her baby, but persuades her to continue her education anyway, since she still does need to be independent. Once Sushma is reminded of all the humiliation she went thru, she'd probably compromise on this one. It is important, since she has her exams what - today or tomorrow?

One thing - instead of telling Jyoti, I thought Sushma should have taken KK aside and into confidence. After all, whether she gets kicked out or not would be his decision, not Jyoti's or Padma's or Dadi's. If she made this case to KK like she did to Jyoti, he'd probably have supported her, and once she had his support, she can either herself, or have him announce it to the rest of the family.

Oh, and I too didn't get what was Deepu's tantrum about - walking out of the room w/ Poonam in tow! I think he now hates every decision that Jyoti makes that could be damaging in the short term, even though it's good in the long term.


Brij meets Jyoti @ her class in front of Kabir. He tells Jyoti that no amount of repentance will pay for what he's done to Sushma, but he wants one last opportunity to meet her. Jyoti tells him that he doesn't need a meeting, he needs a fitting punishment. Kabir tells him that he's going to get his punishment - the doctor has told him that he's going to die soon 👏😍

When a person realises that he is going to die he always remember his bad deeds how much he had hurt some one and when yesterdays episode started i saw that brij was sitting in to the temple that time i remembered one old proverb sau chuhe khake billi haj ko chali !!!!!!!!!!
Secondly what brij want????? is he want sushma in his life??? or he only wants to talk with her??????? If he want sushma in his life back than for what purpose ?to show her those days which she has not yet seen till now ie widow after his death.
Kabir should clarify about these things and one more thing if these all things would have happened with kabir's sister than also he would have roamed becoming a saint and if not than he should just shut up and not to interfere in sharma family's family matter.

--- Completeley agree with this statement. Sushma isn't thinking straight, why is it no woman can live her life for herself?
