I think the letter is asking for the mangalsutra and ring back. What do you guys think?

I haven't seen the episode so far, but yesterday's precap showed Jyoti shocked that Pankaj is asking her to state such a big lie. Asking for the mangal-sutra & ring back doesn't constitute a lie, does it, since Jyoti is now divorced. So he must be asking her to make a false statement, and this must have shocked her.

If Jyoti is being asked to make a false statement in, say, a court, she needs to turn that over to the cops on grounds of solicitation of perjury. Here, it would no longer be a case of defending or not defending her (ex-)husband: it would be a case of a cover-up of a crime that was being solicited.

At the moment, I have no guesses on what Pankaj is asking her to say. But why does he have any more business w/ her - she's signed off on the divorce, what else does he need?

Even the new promo shows that Jyoti is shocked at the contents of the letter and wonders how Pankaj-ji could tell such a huge lie

Maybe he'll ask her to lie and say she's not pgregnant.

Oh, didnt know abt that promo. Well, if its regd some lie... then its probably something that can help make his and Neelam's wedding happen faster (possibly relating to her pregnancy). I think it is around this esp since CM seemed to eager to have Jyoti recieve the letter.
