Part 1

The scene starts with Jyoti having overheard that she's pregnant. She turns away back into her room. Padma asks everybody to back away and asks Kalpana to talk to Jyoti. KK asks her what's the deal, and she says that she herself is unsure of whether to congratulate or console her. 👍🏼👍🏼 If they react the wrong way, Jyoti could possibly end up hurting herself. At this moment, she needs not her family but her friend, to whom she can open up to. Kalpana agrees and goes in to talk to Jyoti.

Dadi goes up to Padma and asks her what is she saying - why would the question of consoling Jyoti arise, since she is about to have a baby? Padma tells her that having been abandoned by Pankaj and lost her home, there's no saying what's going on in her mind. Does she think that Jyoti can even think of becoming a mother?

In her room, Kalpana tells Jyoti that she understands that in her situation, no woman would want a baby. However, as she mentions the word abortion, Jyoti gets shocked and startled, and tells her that abortion is inconceivable to her. (No jokes please, about abortion and inconceivable 😉😉) Kalpana asks her whether she'll carry the baby to term? Jyoti says that it's her baby, and that of her love... and then stops. She then asks what's the fault of the baby? It's not its fault that its father hates her. She says that her only regret is that on this joyous occasion, Pankaj is not with her. She is crying at the thought that throughout its life, it may never experience a father's love. Kalpana asks her to consider this, and tells her that life is very difficult for a single mother. Jyoti tells her that she'll give that baby the love of both parents. Kalpana tells her that she expected this of her, but as a doctor, is giving her practical advice (like the one she gave her about witholding Brij's story from Pankaj?) Jyoti asks Kalpana whether she won't congratulate her, and they hug.

Padma is giving KK his meds, and as usual, bitching that as it is, they are stretched, and now, they'll have to support 2 more babies, and wonders how to deal with all this? She had expectations of Jyoti, but they are now over. (I'm glad Jyoti won't have to work) Who'll employ her in this state? Dadi comes in and rebukes her. She asks why is there the need for Jyoti to work? She suggests to KK that when Pankaj gets to know of this, he'll forget everything and welcome Jyoti back. Padma suggests against being so optimistic - Pankaj has a lot of hatred for Jyoti now. He can't get out of it that easily. Dadi says that from her experience, he'd be much more beholden to someone his own blood. She tells KK that this baby will restore the love b/w its parents. Padma tells her that she too wants that, but has her feet well grounded - this ain't as simple as it seems. KK tells her that good things happen only when good thoughts occur. They should first give this good news to MN&G. They are the most senior in that house, and will take any decision after due consideration.

At night, Jyoti is @ the terrace, and Sushma goes up to her and asks what is she doing there? Jyoti tells her that she feels strange, and also somewhat apprehensive. Sushma smiles, and tells Jyoti that that's normal in the first trimester, and according to docs, this is due to hormonal changes. She tells Jyoti that after some time, she'll look forward to her baby. Jyoti rejoices at the thought of giving birth. She says that when they do, they'll realize what their parents went thru. Sushma thanks her, telling her that if it weren't for her, she'd never have experienced the joy of becoming a mom. Jyoti tells her that she never dreamed that they'd both become moms together. Sushma gloats that in this dept, she's her senior. (Actually, much more senior, if one counts her pre-marital abortion - looks like there's something to be said for getting knocked up😆😆???) Jyoti asks her if she is gloating, but Sushma tells her that her kid will take care of Jyoti's kid (please don't say that, b'cos that means Jyoti's kid would have to be away from Pankaj for that to happen). The 2 hug.

Padma then gets there and calls Jyoti downstairs. Jyoti tells them that she doesn't want Pankaj to recall her just b'cos he feels sorry for the kid. She would return to Pankaj, but only when he loved her, not b'cos he pitied her. Dadi tells her that this can only happen if she talks to him. Jyoti points out that she wanted to talk to him, but that he wasn't prepared to listen. There can only be discussions when there is trust. Padma tells her not to be stubborn - Pankaj is its father, and has the right to know (for once, I agree w/ Padma here) Jyoti tells her that the baby comes later, but first, it was she who was there in his life, and yet, he's not bothered to find out about her - not even whether she's dead or alive. She will tell him when the time is right. KK too disagrees w/ Jyoti, and asks her to understand him. Even if they don't tell Pankaj, they need to tell MN&G, so that they can take a decision. Jyoti tells him that all relationships there are through Pankaj, and she even knows why they want to tell them all this - but she wants them to know that she doesn't want her kid to beg, but to have honor. Saying this, she walks out.

Sushma follows her, and Padma remarks that Jyoti is just full of bluster, but has no aim in life anymore. If Pankaj accepts her, everything would be back to normal. Dadi agrees, and KK remarks that Jyoti is in such pain that she can't think straight. Dadi says that when their kids aren't on the right track, its their duty to fix things, and suggests that they go. KK asks what if Jyoti finds out? Padma asks him not to worry about that and to leave it to her, and Jyoti wouldn't have a clue about it (after all, Padma's the pro @ keeping secrets from Jyoti 😆😆 But it's funny to see the person who witheld such a major secret having something witheld from her. If they tell Pankaj this, then he may just take Jyoti back at these scores being even 😆😆)

Part 2

Jyoti is sitting in her room, getting flashbacks of Pankaj, and tells her foetus that even though its father is not w/ her, she won't let it regret not being w/ him.

Next morning, Jyoti heads to the kitchen, and spots the paper still on the table, and thinks that her dad isn't up as yet. She goes to check and Deepu tells her that all 3 of them have gone to the temple. Jyoti asks - all of a sudden? and Sushma tells her that they made it on the spur of the moment, and since Jyoti was asleep, they didn't want to wake her. As it is, they went for Jyoti's kid, and Dadi wanted to distribute prasad @ the mandir. Deepu excuses himself from the scene, and Jyoti looks suspicious.

At the Vashisth mansion, CM asks them whether they've come to plead Jyoti's case? She tells them that their tears and pleading ain't gonna change anything - Pankaj has himself rendered his decision. KK tells CM that they're there to meet Pankaj. CM tells him that since he has a daughter there, that's the only reason security allowed them in. Or else, people make appointments w/ Pankaj Vashisth. KK tells her that Pankaj is even today his son-in-law, and they consider sons-in-laws as sons. They don't need any permissions to see him, so please call him. CM reminds him that he has another son-in-law as well - Brij Mohan 😆😆 (The Sharmas glare @ this remark of hers) She asks him whether they ever honored him as much - in her consideration, he's even more deserving of honor, since he was so close to 2 of his daughters. (Dadi is shocked to hear this, while Padma fumes) One of them married him, while another maintained a secret relationship w/ him.

Part 3

KK finally loses his cool, and tells CM to shut up. The others arrive there - MN&G, Sudha & Uday, and Pankaj. CM tells him that what Jyoti did not only insulted the Sharma family, but besmirched the Vashisth family as well. KK pleads w/ MN to stop CM at her slandering of the bahu of this house. He asks MN how he's tolerating this, given how he loved Jyoti? Padma remarks that CM has developed a heart of stone, and stones are just there to injure people. She suggests that they leave, since they won't get anything but insults.

Pankaj is @ the stairway, and stops them. He guesses that they are here to see him, and that since their daughter had a relationship w/ him, he himself would answer their questions. As it is, all of this was a mistake that Pankaj himself made - of loving her, of wanting her. In return, all she did was deceive him, and he was still suffering for this mistake. KK pleads w/ him not to be so hard on himself, and that he didn't make any mistake, he loved her, and what he's about to tell him is what god has given as a result of that love. Pankaj remarks that Jyoti has already given him the fruits of his love by deceiving him. He asks what else did she send him? KK breaks him the good news - that Jyoti is about to become the mother of his kid, and he's about to become a father. Everybody is startled, and MN&G are happy to hear this. KK tells Pankaj that he's there just to tell him that he is needed by both his wife and his future kid. Pankaj breaks out smiling, while CM is stunned at this sudden turn of events.

Comments

The first scene - I liked Jyoti's initial reaction of love for her new foetus, as well as her moments later w/ Sushma. However, I disagreed w/ her decision to keep this from Pankaj on grounds of pity. Even if this is valid, point is that it's not Jyoti's baby alone, but Pankaj's as well, and so she has even less of a right to withold this from him than she had to withold Brij. I'm glad the Sharmas decided to override her, and it was also poetic justice, given the way she had witheld stuff from Pankaj. 👏👏 But who will withold stuff from, or deceive the Sharmas - I'm waiting for that to happen.

I was also glad at the insults CM threw @ the Sharmas, culminating in the one over Brij, that caused both KK & Padma to explode. 👏👏 MN&G have to pick a side and fight on it. If they agree w/ CM, just back her more vocally, and if they disagree w/ her, act like they are her senior, not her wards.

I also liked the end scene - Pankaj being moved by the news that he's about to become a father. 😳😳 Although, from the precap, he looks like he'd be only more politely doing to Jyoti what Brij did to Sushma, in casting aspersions on its parentage.

You know, i kinda guessed that Pankaj would doubt the parentage of his child.
It was a little obvious
I officially see no difference between him and Brij anymore.
I hope Jyoti asks for a divorce or something. That would teach him.
As for CM, I hope she comes under a bus and leaves the family in peace.
Though I think neither of these things will happen.
Jyoti will probably lecture Pankaj a lot, and CM will kick her out again

She won't ask for divorce - she's this serial's Kali, remember? 🤢😆 But it will be a helluva lot more difficult for Pankaj to persuade her to return, whenever reality does bite.

I think that this time, given what the promo shows and if Jyoti's reaction is anything like it, then not only will she yell @ Pankaj, but she wont spare CM either. It'll be sorta like Sushma - she tolerated everything from Brij, but when he started questioning the parentage of her foetus, that was the turning point that made her see things Jyoti's way. Similarly, here, this will probably be the turning point where Jyoti stops being deferential at all to CM, and reads her the riot act. And CM, like a typical bully, is also a coward - when confronted in equivalent style, she backs off.

I think Jyoti will give Pankaj a lecture similar to that given to Mr Akash Chaudhary (that wacko interviewer last week) about her mangal sutra, sindur and Kali, and CM will intervene and weigh in on Pankaj's side re: her offspring, and that is what will make her go ballistic on CM, and she'll probably give CM a litany of all the crass acts she's put up w/ to date. Only after leaving CM (and maybe Minal) reeling will she storm out.

On a side note, I think Uday may also disown Pankaj and CM, and this time, Jyoti won't stop him from leaving w/ Sudha.
Unless of course, MN&G develop a (so far non-existant) spine.

Then one thing I don't understand is why Pankaj parents have NO Say in anything....they always listen to CM and trust her blindly...
I won't be suprised if CM had a hand in Pankaj accident where he looses his eye sight...

Jeez - I am glad to finally see Jyoti standing up for herself with her husband and her inlaws. I never thought that Pankaj would stoop this low ...
