Part 1
The scene starts w/ Jyoti still reeling from her conversation w/ Brij. Pankaj arrives in the room, and asks her whether the preparations are ready. Jyoti tells him that they are. She also tells him that the others have all gone to Mr Purohit's house, but Sudha chose to stay back and help her. Pankaj remarks that it's very sweet. Jyoti also tells him that she's bought a new watch for his friend, and Pankaj thanks her, noting that he had completley overlooked it. Pankaj then goes to get ready.
Jyoti goes to the kitchen and joins Sudha & Longshree, and says that she'll make the parathas, but Sudha tells her that Jyoti has done everything, and so this one Sudha'll do. Jyoti asks her why she didn't go w/ everyone else to the Purohits, and wonders what they will think of the new bride not being there. Sudha tells her that she didn't feel like it, and besides, she wanted to meet the guy who saved Pankaj. She also remarks that the loki ka kofta seems excellent, and then wonders who else was it who loved this combination of loki ka kofta & methi paratha? Jyoti's face changes, as she has flashbacks of Brij, and how he complimented her when she brought him that, saying that she was the world's greatest cook, and what would he do w/o her? Just then, Pankaj arrives and asks Jyoti to be ready, saying that the guest is at the gate. He then goes and greets Brij at the door, and ushers him in. Both of them sit down, and Pankaj calls Jyoti and she arrives. Pankaj tells Brij to meet his wife Jyoti, and Jyoti to meet his friend Brij Mohan. Jyoti's face changes from a smile to a state of shock, as she stares at him while Brij blows her an obscene kiss. Then Brij gets up, folds his hands and greets her namaste. Jyoti still looks at him dumbfounded.
Part 2
Jyoti continues to stare @ Brij, shell shocked and he asks her what's wrong - he did greet her namaste. Jyoti somehow mutters namaste, and then asks Pankaj whether this is the person who he was talking about. Brij replies for him, and tells him that yes, he is Brij Mohan, a singer by profession whose enthusiasm for his work has brought him here from Banswara... Brij then stops himself and says here meaning this city. He then says Jyoti, I've heard that you... then stops himself and apologizes to her for calling her by name, and that he should call her Bhabi-ji. He then apologizes to Pankaj as well, but Pankaj tells him that there is no need to apologize, and he's free to call Jyoti by name. Brij thanks him, and Pankaj asks Jyoti whether she's listening, and whether she's feeling well? Jyoti tells him that she is, and that she'll fetch him water. Brij tells her that there is no need to, and that he's fine. Pankaj then asks what's the delay, let's go straight to the dining table? Both of them go to the dining table and sit down.
Pankaj tells Brij that Jyoti is always asking about him, who is he, how is he, why didn't you bring him home? Today, he's here, and suddenly, she's silent. Brij tells him that it's no problem, and that she's probably shy, and will slowly come around. Jyoti gives him a dirty look. Pankaj reminds Jyoti that she wanted to personally thank him. Brij intervenes and tells him not to embarrass her. He can read whatever she wants to say from her eyes. Jyoti gives him her usual dirty look, and Brij smirks at her. Pankaj continues that Brij did do something indeed praiseworthy, so how is it out of place to thank him? Brij stares at her, and Jyoti grits her teeth, and with thinly disguised hostility, thanks him. Brij with equally thinly disguised sarcasm acknowledges it. Pankaj asks Jyoti to start, and she agrees. Brij praises him, and says that the food must be as good as the reception. Pankaj tells him that Jyoti personally prepared everything. He tells Brij that he won't find that flavor matched, and that Jyoti was the world's best cook. Jyoti starts serving them, and puts a methi paratha on Brij's plate, and Brij grabs her arm, and Jyoti looks at him horrified. She then somehow wrests her hand out of his, while he tells Pankaj that there is no doubt about that (her being the world's best cook).
Then Sudha arrives, and Pankaj introduces her as well to Brij. Jyoti looks helplessly, while Pankaj introduces them to each other, and like Jyoti, the appearance on Sudha's face changes as well. Again, Brij greets her namaste, but a horrified Sudha doesn't respond. Brij then asks them why they are standing there like strangers, and why don't they sit and join them? Pankaj agrees and asks both of them to join them. Sudha & Jyoti exchange eye glances, and Jyoti signals that they wont. Sudha then tells Pankaj to start, and that she has work in the kitchen. Pankaj asks Jyoti to start distributing the meal, and Jyoti serves Brij the kofta from across the table so that he can't grab her hand. Brij praises the meal, and remarks that after a long time, he's had food to his liking, and should come back often. He tells Pankaj that he's getting flashbacks. Pankaj asks him what old memories is he having, and Brij tells him that he remembers when somebody would so lovingly be preparing food for him like this. Pankaj asks her where she is and a disgusted Jyoti starts walking out of the room past Brij. Brij grabs her by the hand and says here, meaning in this city. But she's now w/ someone else. Jyoti in the meantime is struggling to free her hands from Brij. She cheated him and married someone else (Brij stares at Jyoti while he says that, and Jyoti, hearing that, turns at him furious). Pankaj remarks that that's sad, but that Brij has nothing to be dejected about, since by leaving him, that girl lost a lot. He tells Brij that he has his entire life in front of him, and can experience all types of happiness. Brij then lets go of Jyoti's hand, while she has been listening to Pankaj sympathize w/ Brij (against, unbeknownst to Pankaj, Jyoti). Jyoti takes a step back, while reeling w/ shock @ what Pankaj said.
Part 3
Jyoti, shocked at Pankaj sympathizing w/ Brij, runs out of the room once her hand has been released by Brij. Brij remarks to Pankaj that he thinks that he ought to re-establish friendship w/ the girl who turned away from him. Pankaj praises this instinct of his.
The scene finally moves to the Sharma's house, where the phone rings and Sandeep takes it. Sudha's called him and tells him that they have a big problem - Brij is here. Deepu asks whether it's at home, and Sudha tells him he is. He wonders how he got there, and asks whether everyone is there? He asks how come the security didn't stop him, and just let a stranger in? Sudha tells him that she'll explain later, but that he's there as Pankaj's guest. She tells him that Jyoti is extremely tense, and to quickly do something before the problem gets worse. Deepu tells her that he'll do something.
Padma tells Deepu to inform the policemen outside, and KK tells him to stop Brij before he unleashes a storm in Jyoti & Sudha's sasural. Brij agrees, goes out and meets the plainclothes police officers. He tells them where he is, and they call their boss to let them know.
Back @ Pankaj's place, he and Brij are done eating. Pankaj offers him more, but Brij tells him that if he does, he'll have to stay there, and Pankaj tells him to consider it his home. He asks where to wash his hands, and Pankaj tells Jyoti to take him to the wash basin. Jyoti looks at him and Brij looks at her triumphantly. She tells Brij where it is, but Pankaj tells her to escort him personally: he's there for the first time, so how will he know? Brij signals her to lead the way, and Jyoti does.
At the washroom, Jyoti asks him how he dared to surface there - didn't he fear her? Brij asks her how could he possibly fear her - and that it's his pleasure to be w/ her. He also told her that it was his memory of her that forced him to come there. He tells her that he swears that he misses her. Jyoti tells him that she's never met a more despicable person than him in the world. Brij responds that this is the same old saw, and to tell him something new. Jyoti tells him that he's finished eating, so now leave, or else... Brij defiantly asks her - or else what? Call the police? Send him to jail? Expose him to her husband? Brij tells her that she's not the same Jyoti. The Jyoti who was his girlfriend was very intelligent, but marriage seems to have taken its toll on her thinking.
Brij then shows Jyoti his hand. He tells her that if she tells Pankaj about Brij, she'll have to tell him about Brij & Sushma, and she'll have to tell him about Brij and Jyoti's past.
He asks her - can she?

Brij is outside being arrested by the 3 cops who Deepu has reported to. He protests that he's new in town and just visiting, while Deepu watches from a distance. Just then, Pankaj and Jyoti are walking by, and Pankaj identifies Brij by his voice. Brij complains to Pankaj that he's being arrested. Pankaj asks the cops what's the deal, and they tell him that there is a domestic violence complaint by his wife that Pankaj's own wife helped file. Pankaj is shocked and asks Jyoti whether she filed a domestic violence complaint against Brij, and if so, why? Jyoti keeps staring at Brij from a distance, but seemingly at a loss on what to tell Pankaj.Comments
Today, Brij finally made Jyoti aware of what threatens her - the truth - and it's no longer on her side. When one can lay ones cards on the table, it pretty much means it's over. By telling Jyoti what she'd have to do to get him put away, he pretty much showed her the price tag that she'd incur by exposing him.
Also, the entire episode was filled w/ irony - w/ Pankaj sympathizing w/ Brij when he describes how he lost Jyoti, w/o mentioning her by name. While most may sympathize w/ Jyoti, particularly given Brij's boorish behavior in grabbing Jyoti's hand - twice, to me, it looked like somewhat poetic justice. So far, Jyoti has hidden things from Pankaj, and now she sees that Pankaj is inadvertantly supporting her biggest enemy.
Jyoti & Sudha were just lucky that CM was out of the house, or else, she'd have confronted them on their rudeness towards Brij, for which they'd have had no reply. And it's not just CM - since everybody in the Vashisth family was in the dark about Brij, they'd have seen it exactly the same way.
The precap indicates that despite Brij's arrest, Jyoti is now in a pickle. She'll now have to tell Pankaj her entire life history, including w/ Brij & Sushma, and it will be interesting to see her rationalize why she hid the elementary fact that she had 2 sisters, not 1.
