Padma has selective memory

hey guys,dont u think after sushma its padma who has selective memory when it comes to jyoti?i mean when she was sitting alone crying aloud saying she loves jyoti and had weaved a lot of dreams for jyoti's marriage did she forget that a girl needs a guy to marry?or she forgot how she managed to keep the grooms away from jyoti which baby mausi had sent?or she forgot how she used to abuse jyoti every moment in front of her 3rd and 4th child(actually her 1st and 2nd child)deepu and sushma?or did she forget how jyoti was used as a note chaapne ki machine in the sharma family?is this the way a mother brings up her child? is that what u call taking ur kaleja out?

i feel the mom is just oppressed to do what she does due to her situations, she got forced to marry jyoti's dad too, it wasn't her will, and she was saying to jyoti in previous episodes of the dadi's introduction to the story that she has faced alot from this dadi women too. All she had was a bias for her kids, but she never diffrentiated all the kids so much that jyoti and sudha realized they were step-daughters, she has taken care of them too.

I disagree. Jyoti & Sudha may not have known it, but the disparity was always there. Jyoti was essentially the golden goose of the family, and useful only because of her salary, not because she was a valued daughter. Same w/ Sudha - she was nothing more than a maid. Did you ever see Padma ask Sushma to prepare the tea, or clean the furniture, or anything of that sort? I'm not even bringing Deepu into this, since both Dadi and Padma were misogynists - Dadi only stopped when Deepu was exposed as a fraud.

I agree that Dadi was a 🤬, but to put this in perspective, as other posters have pointed out in previous threads, can you imagine Padma rigging Sushma's kundali. Conversely, imagine that Jyoti had stolen Brij from Sushma, instead of the other way around, and the family reacted like it did against Sushma, and disowns Jyoti. Can you imagine Padma going behind everybody and giving Jyoti money, giving her a family necklace, having rendezvous in the park, et al? Similarly, say Deepu was born to Lata, instead of Padma. Once he was thrown out of the house, do you really think Padma would have sweated over his predicament?

The only reason Padma is crying today is that Jyoti has a rich husband that she has married into after disowning them, while Sushma is stuck w/ Brij, whose limitations even Padma had exposed in a past episode when Brij was about to be Jyoti's fiance. And Padma can't even tap into this rich family, b'cos it's Jyotis, and she has disowned her, (although even if she hadn't, she'd never allow her in-laws to be used by her own folks as a credit card.)

Maybe Padma had dreams of Jyoti being in a lesbian wedding, and being the hubby in the relationship, so that she'd bring back home another housewife to back up Sudha, and if that wife was rich, then she'd get hold of her dowry as well 🤣

I agree both sushi and padma have selective memory, both are out against jyoti because they cannot blame their failures on anyone else. Padma failed as a mother because look at how sushi and deepu turned out (however deepu being responsible and owning up now).To cover up her guilt and partiality towards the kids she blamed jyoti for sushmas actions.

If Sushi breaks up w/ Brij and goes back home crying, Padma may get to give her away again. Of course, since it would be marriage#2 for her, it won't be anywhere near Jyoti's.

I don't think she can be kept out of Deepu's wedding, since Deepu owes to her the fact that he got a second chance: if it weren't for Padma, he'd still be out on the streets
