The mother has a big part in her kids life, but also the kid can do anything they want. I know a lot of good mothers who dote on all of their children, and are really interested in them and protective of them. But, because of brainwashing from friends, the kids go the wrong way. A mother cannot be responsible for everything.
Plus, lots of people can be blamed:
1. One could blame Jyoti for taking Sushma to dance class regardless of her family saying they disliked it - this is where Sushma met Brij.
2. One should blame Brij for brainwashing Sushma into thinking that he loved her.
3. One should blame the mother for not giving her attention and keeping an eye on her.
4. One should blame the father for not putting his foot down and trusting that each of his children is like Hyoti.
5. One should blame Sushma for going out with Brij even though she found out that Jyoti loves him. She also continues to sleep with him despite knowing this, and gets an abortion without a care for the baby she aborted or her honor.
Sushma will pay for it all in the end ... so will the family.
