Johnny Lever missed the bus

Hi all,

I am a die hard fan of JL and feel he is the best of the best. Most importantly this person is extremely intelligent - look at his jokes. Most of his jokes are ORIGINAL. JL only has to create a joke and you will find variations of these from other JL clones!!!

But I feel JL has missed the bus as far as his TV serial is concerned. I remember I had attended his live show in Singapore in 1992. At that time, I was trying to record his show on my Panasonic Bazooka-like (at that time the camcorderes were not in vogue) video (VHS) camera. Promptly I was asked to switch it off. I went backstage to request JL to let me shoot the show. JL himself told me "humney aisa na karney ka socha hai - log shoot kartey hain aur cassetes bechtey hain - humko uska koi paisa nahi milta"....... I was sad but could'nt do much...😭

JL should have been more open. He should have started his comedy show LOOOONG time back.....when he saw that TGILC is becoming is such a rage on star-one, only THEN did he think of Johnny Ala-rey.....

Also, to give suitable "TAKKAR" to TGILC the format of Ala rey....should have been more robust....unfortunately this is ONE time, JL appears to have slipped......such a talented personality....wasted in Ala rey....

JL - pls give us a better show....PLEASE.....
