These are the pitfalls and shortcomings of monarchy dear. The whims and moods of the Emperor! His commands and his decisions were unquestionable. There was no opposition party to cry foul. They possessed absolute and irrefutable and unasssilable powers.

It did have its benefits. No election costs. No red tapism. No unwanted and progress hindering debates. A law could be enacted and implemented in a matter of minutes. Justice served immediately. Bridges and monuments erected without being questioned or stopped midway by legal stays.

But momentary madness of the head did wreak havoc. Their anger and moodswings could destroy lives. Especially when it was their authority and power in question.

Remember Chittor? An entire fortress town inhabitants massacred because they resisted the Shahenshah too long, long enough to irk him and test his patience and raised questions on his prowess as an undisputed winner on the battlefield? That was by Akbar, the most benevolent, wise and considerate of them all. And this Shehzade was famed for his narrow mindedness and severity.

I CANNOT BELIEVE THIS!!!! This is EXACTLY the example I was about to give!!!! Chittor. Not only did tens of thousands lose their lives (battle + Jauhar) Shehenshah Akbar actually ordered his soldiers to remove the head of each dead soldier/man and make a mountain of skulls to drill fear into others... can you imagine how gruesome and bloody that scene would have been!!!! For those doing it, and for those watching!!!

Our Akbar... the tolerant one... the one we hail so highly for so many things - THIS is how he reacted when they didn't need h is third warning to surrender... the Shehzaade is even more volatile by nature...

What else can one expect from him when the wicked scumbag 🤢🤬 FS hits where it would prick the Shehzade most by raising questions on his authority and powers?

Unfortunately Sandy, in life, not every innocent is set free and not every guilty man punished.

In the large scale of things, FS hasn't even committed a crime per se - what will Shehzaade apprehend him for? For using Khalil's help in an investigation? He's played the game so well - he got rid of all whom he wanted out, and no punishable blame can come his way!
