Rose, it is the romantic in you who wishes that 'love' would change everything and that a 'loving wife' change a person, Rose! 😊Most leaders (barbaric or simply autocratic) have enjoyed some form of love in their lives. Didn't stop them from being barbarians.

Even Hitler was famously in love with Eva Braun. 😊 And don't forget - the most barbaric genocidal leaders of all time - Genghiz Khan [who's known for fathering thousands of kids across all cities he plundered - so much so that 0.5% of men in the world, about 16 million individuals today, carry his gene in some form or other!] had an almost 'soul-mateish' love story with Borte, ONE of his wives!

Just never mentioned Shehzaade's wife here because it never really mattered to the story much. 😊

Aurangazeb did have a loving relationship with his wife. A princess of Iran, she was. He showed her great respect and cared for her needs very well (I even mentioned the point about him taking special care in ensuring she had enough time between each pregnancy, so that she didn't perish from childbirth like his own mother did)
But he WAS a traditionalist and believed in women staying strictly behind the purdah. Unlike the Mughal queens before her, she was never consulted on political matters. Unlike most emperors before him (and world over) however, he was largely monogamous, except for a brief whirlwind romance he had with the Christian slave girl and a mistress later on in his life.

Why is your heart breaking, Sahiba? You are safe and sound at home , oceans away from us, with the knowledge that we would not be able to come pounding on your door demanding answers.😃

😔

But we know it is not your fault, Sahiba - it is that venomous snake FS and the madman of a Shehzaade that have caused all this mayhem.😊

Exactly!😡

We can't have you in tears now, can we? So come here for a tight 🤗, Sahiba.

(We need to keep the author happy so that we can have a happy C53 😉)

I'm not Bindup😆

>>> OOPs😆

Haven't watched the movie, but when we don't know the person accused, personally,we tend to believe the accusations and no longer respect them like we always did. Only those close to AMK and Heera know that they are gems. For others, they are prisoners.So,yes..I understand.

>>>So well - worded!

Her precious belongings (not the entire library). Herbs to treat anyone who falls ill on the way. Books on medicine to refer to. Something for casual reading and a few precious books given by Bapusa!

Makes sense..and all of that is gone😭

>>>Yes! 😭

That's y we all are affected so much. That way its your writing skill that brought such reactions from us. So credit goes to u ⭐️

Yes apparently, reading a scene is worse than watching one... because the most powerful director in the world is the one in your head! And the audience is your heart... so one can imagine! 👍🏼
How is Aadhya kutty? Any semblance of a smile on her face yet? 😃😳

I want to answer your question di..I was sad for Jalal but more than that,I was angry with CVS for showing him as a dumb emperor who falls for silly tricks of his aapaa.Just before that war scene,he tells Jodha that once he takes shamsheer and enters battle field,he's immune to the relations and blah blah..but what he does immediately is quite opposite

Coming to Bahubali, yesterday I was thinking of the same..when BB was killed and the flashback ended,I felt a kind of emptiness and didn't want to watch further.Wanted to scream out loud that he shouldn't be killed..no matter how many times,I watch it,I still cry everytime. But,we knew he'll be killed in the first part itself.

Yes... a lot of scenes in movies leave me very disturbed! And BB was one such..

But AMK's case is different..most of us thought he won't be punished. But he was not only punished but it was done in an extremely horrifying way that came as a huge shock. Also, the love and respect we have for the leads is different..we've been a part of their journey since two years.

That has to be the case! 👍🏼 And As I told Aparna above... sometimes our minds are extremely powerful - more powerful than what a TV can ever show us!

Why? Her demeanour, her expressions, her voice ,her sincerity all of which define her inherent innocent personality ( and to her credit, realizing humility was the way to go to pander to his inflated ego ) shone through and managed to make a chink in his stony stance , just enough to save the situation.

Yes..

Had he lingered a bit longer in the room, he would have made an about turn since anything could have been a trigger, given his volatile temperament at the moment.

Excellently surmised! 👏

As seen, he was already questioning his own orders as soon as he left her room.

And the poor guards became victims ,thanks to the Shehzaade's warped imagination having a field day. Talk about being at the wrong place at the wrong time doing nothing wrong but so wronged.😭

I read at all at 1 go and so my emotional involvement was almost zero because I was not there during the entire process and yet in that infamous chapter I skipped all the gory details and simply scanned through them. We don't like violence or cruelty of any sort meted out to the protagonists, that is the human psyche! And I can understand what you must have felt or experienced knowing what Jalal there meant to you! 😉😃

Here in HBAS, if this same scene would have been on the evil some foursome then I would not have been so emotionally affected. If it was Khalil I would have thought, 'finally justice served', with Piggy I would think, 'serves you right', with FS I would have felt, 'More lashes, the merrier' and with Shehzade I would gladly gloat, 'How does it feel to be on the receiving end? Is it more greener?' because it is natural to feel so to see the culprits and villains punished! Maybe I would not have read and relished per se but I would not be affected but here it was AMK, my KS, my CS...whom I love, adore, admire, respect, drool and dream about, and he was mercilessly punished and for what, for saving his love without harming the Prince...that was a bitter pill to digest! It shook me emotionally to tatters! All I saw was the bloody sight of AMK and I felt helpless, as if my hands are tied, as if I am receiving the flogging, as if I am bellowing those cries of pleas and beseech and yet to no fruitful result!! I don't want such a weekend ever!! It was full of turmoil!

I am sorry...

Thank you for the heartfelt call here Bindup! It is not that I kept away just like that, but it is my nature re!! I go in a cocoon in dire times and deal with myself trying not to upset others or spoil the mood! The forum would have been a mess if I was here! 😃 And I know I have my virtual family here whenever I need them! 🤗

Why are you saying sorry? This are my feelings for my CS!! If I didn't feel anything and no remorse, now wouldn't that have been bizarre? The very fact that I felt so moved and pained showed brilliance of your writing. We were supposed to feel for AMK, supposed to feel anger against Shehzade and supposed to feel that detestable wrath for FS, that was the whole purpose of the chapter and you excelled as an author.
That was my coping with my feelings, you don't need to apologize. 😊

Exactly. If a horror movie scares the viewers out of their wits, it only proves the director's prowess. Noneed to apologise at all. You must rejoice at your achievement.👍🏼
