I know that is what they used to do for cashew nuts. My dad's friend owned a cashew nut factory in Mangalore back then, he took us there. We couldn't believe how big the cashews were and was told they export it to the United States!</font>

REKHA WHAT YOU SAY ABOUT THE EXPORT MARKET IS VERY TRUE. I TOO HAVE SEEN SUPER SIZED N BEST QUALITY MANGOES BEING SHIPPED OUT. BUT IN THE LAST FEW YEARS PRODUCTION HAS REALLY IMPROVED SO WE DO GET SUCH STUFF HERE TOO. AND POST LIBERALISATION AND SOFTWARE BOOM PURCHASING POWER HERE HAS GONE UP SUBSTANTIALLY

MAAMRA BADAAM IS STILL VERY MUCH AVAILABLE HERE. I KNOW MY MOM N A FEW OTHERS WHO BUY IT REGULARLY SPECIALLY TO MAKE BADAAM THANDAAI OR HALWA. AND I TOO HAVE SEEN THE EXPORTABLE GIANT CASHEWS 😆 NEYVELI IN TAMIL NADU HAS A HUGE CASHEW CROP


TANIA ME TOO HAVE VISITED CHANDIGARH A FEW TIMES AND PASSED BY IT SEVERAL TIMES TO VISIT THE HILLS BEYOND
