A 'rape case' comes to the police station , where Jyothika is the police official .The girl, who is a minor is shown pregnant,.and the boy , who is also a minor , is sent to a Reformatory school..Jyothika takes the girl in her custody ( not police custody) till the baby is born..
The flashback shows that the boy and the girl are really innocent and in love with each other and as such it is not a case of rape.

But the DNA test of the baby proves that it is not his child..How the story develops further into new disclosures at every stage during investigation is very beautifully and unpretentiously narrated in the film.
The film marks with the highest performance by the boy (actor GVPrakash, who is a music director and singer as well) and the girl , who makes her first appearance in the movie..
The biggest plus point is that the running time of the movie is only 100 mts.!
The biggest minus point is there are some scenes of violence , which are not easy to digest..
I like the way in which the story is narrated, though the reviews of some magazines say differently...

Saraswathi Aunty/Periyamma.

Oh...so this film is not for me...😕
Nicely written review...Periyamma...😊
This is enough for me...no seeing...

Speaking of grey, I remember the question Sandy had once asked me.
Had Akbar's saviour turned out to be someone like an Alauddin Khilji rather than someone with a slightly better sense of good and bad like the Shehzaade, how would Khan Sahib have grown up to be, as a man? After all, his work puts him at cross-roads many-a-time - forcing him to make judgements and act on the spur of the moment.

Recalling what Chachajaan had to say about the child who met the Shehzaade.

'I still remember the first day that child set his sights on the prince in the camp. His fingers were polishing metal, when in walked the Shehzaade - an enigmatic man, beyond all harm and hurt... his small eyes instantly brightened! Everyone would be on their best behaviour when the prince was around... but this boy would be on his best behaviour always... and that didn't go unnoticed. Huzoor took a liking to Akbar, heard his sad story out and the rest was history. He became the father that the boy lost... the brother that he never had... the mentor that he needed... he tutored him... gave him an identity, a home, a purpose, a title and a business - never abandoning him throughout! So I'm sure you understand why Akbar works tirelessly for our Huzoor... dedicatedly serving the man who made him what he was... BUT' he thumped his frail chest 'not once has my son lost his innate goodness during any of it!'

Had the Huzoor, or the prince been an Alauddin Khilji in the paragraph above - most of it would have still been true. Walking freshly out of many months of tragedy, abuse and abandonment, ANY source of light would've been something the child would have grasped at. After all, Akbar is a survivor - and the sight of a larger-than-life fearsome Alauddin Khilji, whom no one could touch would have been awe-inspiring. At first.

But as the 12/13 year old grew older, he would have seen the man for whom he was. Chacha jaan's soft grumbles at night/prayers to Allah would have been enough of a wake-up call for his conscience. Maybe, as a 14 year old, he was compelled to take the life of an innocent while following his senior's orders. Or, it could just be the sight of women and children suffering at the hands of Khilji's direct atrocities - but all of it would continually remind him of the atrocities he bore at his own home too. Akbar never was and never will be vindictive against those who've done nothing to him - not the kind to take life's frustrations against those who don't deserve it. So, the fact that he had moved on from one evil to another, moved on from victim to perpetrator, would have gnawed away at his conscience - so much that he couldn't have stayed on for long. Even as a boy, he couldn't have watched and laughed on - like the rest of Khilji's soldiers - as homes were plundered and humans laid to waste.
A lot of the decisions the Shehzaade makes today, is to stay in power. Assassinating those enemies plotting against him and being merciless on the battlefield are how all people stayed in power (Even the revered emperors like CGM) That is how, AMK justifies the violence that he carries out/witnesses. But even then, he always hated what Khalil stood/stands for.

Similarly, Akbar couldn't have stomached Khilji's needless violence either. Now, he couldn't have opposed Khilji since that would be the end of him (and he is not interested in politics anyway). So, he would have either saved enough wealth to one day leave it all and move on to another profession with Chacha jaan (business, for example - which he is excellent at)
Or, had he given his Huzoor a promise to serve him forever (like he'd done to the Shehzaade) he would have asked for a transfer and worked for the Khilji administration elsewhere - where he wouldn't be witnessing these atrocities - becoming somewhat of a 'good general' in whichever province he was placed. No doubt by doing this, he would have garnered enemies too - but as a man who's overcome fear, he would have anyday preferred THIS, to being directly under Khilji (like he's under the Shehzaade now), and carrying out violence against innocents.

I find all of this quite 'grey' 😊

Thank you for this Lashy!! 👏 It made my day, night and in between! 👍🏼 My Man, My KS, My CS!!!
An assassin with a conscience, a man of strength with a strict code about violence, a man who can be ruthless but is not so against innocent people, a man who can be Death of many but at the same time a protector of the masses, a man with strict sense of loyalty but can be silently using his intelligence to work around that loyalty!! He doesn't believe in wasting lives uselessly! And he RESPECTS women, the biggest asset ever! He is not frivolous, he is not a womaniser, he is not an alcoholic!! So many positive qualities! A man with intelligence and not a blind follower! If he was then there would be no difference between him and the brainwashed terrorists! No wonder I love him so much! And he is Handsome beyond description!! Aai hai!! Elegant, dashing, clever and passionately romantic!! Maar daala!! 😆
Lashy brilliant post! 🤗

C45: Action, Seduction to the Fore!

The trip to meet the informer was indeed fruitful and the presence of the Ustaad himself was justified. The information obtained was earth-shattering, and that is putting it mildly. The dalliance of the devil Khalil with a Hindu Prince defied all logic and only boded disaster with a capital D.

Part 1's hair raising, spine chilling encounter between AMK and his enemies in the alleyway couldn't have been written any more brilliantly than it was. Playing the overpowered victim, giving the strangler a false sense of victory, AMK turns the tables on him at the moment that he willed and returned the favour with a death grip that ended his story, with his accomplice being dealt the same fate moments later. All in a day's work for the Ustaad in extracting the information that he sought but it came at a price - neck bruises and a hurt throat.

Ibrahim Mirza, look what your relentless needling got you into? The challenge of a race with the result being a foregone conclusion. A man who has embraced his blissful marital life wholeheartedly and riding high on those memories that came flooding back , thanks to your jabs - is not one to be beaten, even in your dreams!

AMK's keepsake that kept luring Heera back to it was definitely worth its weight in gold. It is a love story like no other- who wouldn't want to be privy to its juicy details?Heera was quite a sport, entertaining all her maids' mischievous queries, much to their delight.

Part 2 -The trappings for a second ecstatic journey for Akheera were set in place. 25 mouthwatering Marwari dishes to satiate his hunger and a few desserts - the laddoos, the home-made perfumes- to completely bowl the man over yet again. Seeing his injuries and pain, Heera finally steeled herself to brave all the blows that fate had in store , willing to pay the price to have this amazing man in her life.

Nothing can top the beauty of your writing describing all the romantic scenes in her chambers dear author- we bow to your mastery of portraying intimate scenes in such an intoxicating manner, as always ,leaving the reader reeling from the devastating after effects.

Heera's narration of the mortifying Bansi experience could not have been done in better confines - swathed in his reassuring arms ; much like a similar scenario not too long ago when the roles were reversed where he was cocooned in her safe hands as he recalled his bitter past.

His solemn promise to exact revenge for her humiliation . Will the fortunes of the escaped messenger last until he completes his mission?

Lashy Sahiba, thank you so so much for another stellar offering. It appeased our ravenous appetites beyond all expectations! 🤗

A thank you thali ( Marwari fare ):
