The first reflection he saw was the image of the face that was capable of dispelling the darkness of his thoughts. HER radiant face.

8.Adbhuta Wonder

And on that face was the most captivating mix of expressions he'd witnessed at the terrace - the challenge in those long eyes, the coquettish smile upon those lips. Not to mention the mischief it stirred in his own psyche.

1.Sringara Love

Mashallah!' A wilful smile curved the corner of his mouth, the blood in his veins running warm and fast. Those were the images of him and her from an hour ago, embroiled in the most enticing collection of silent exchanges yet.

3.' Karuna Compassion

And now...' he observed the steady return of sobriety in his eyes.

And now, he'd be taking it all away, wouldn't he? By giving her two troubling updates.

One, that he'd decided to leave on this short assignment to chase up this lead in the Chota Faizan case. The intelligence officer in him knew it wouldn't be wise to put it off, though he wasn't certain how she would take it.

6.Bhayanaka Fear

Worse however, was the second update - the more unpleasant news of the two. That he was going to have to give the orders to have her messengers in the safe-house silenced. Forever. The Sahiba would understand. But, she would be very upset. 'Understand' since hundreds of lives were at stake, but 'upset' since it was HER bidding that they assumed they were stubbornly sticking to.

7.' BhiBhatsa Disgust

Darn!' he agitatedly ran both palms down the stubbled rim of his jawline thrice. It felt somehow immoral - almost cruel - to take away the radiance from the face that brightened his days. He hated it.

But it was a choice he HAD to make - today, and possibly during many instances in future too!

4.' Raudra Anger

Fine... FINE' A frustrated voice in him eventually yelled back - as the loving husband went about setting aside those soft sentiments, to make way for the steely grit of the Ustaad. To strap on the blade-proof vest and get moving.

His palms dropped down to rest on his collarbone as he stretched both sides of his neck a few times.

And then dropped further down to the of collar of his tunic.

One. Two. Three. Four. He flicked open the knots that held his snug-fitting tunic in place. Next moment, he shuffled the top off. Adjusting the Taveez against his bare-chested body, he reached for the trunk sitting by his feet - to hunt for the blade-proof vest stored at one of its bottom compartments.

'Oh!' Heera lowered her eyelids at once, her breath caught in her throat quite awkwardly as she held the binoculars aside. She hadn't quite expected that.

'What happened baisa?'

'Did you spot something interesting?'

'Baisa...' whined Bindiya 'you've had it for so long... as promised, can I have my turn with the magic lens now?'

'NO!'
