I admit Lana... even my North Indian friends here too do/feel the same - unfortunately, they see South India as Madras and every South Indian as Madrasi... (one of my friend's mother a few months back asked me 'Oh so you're Madrasi?')

She apologised for her mom's lack of idea 😆

But yes, we need to be more informed about other states...

And I shoulder some blame for this ignorance too - while I and my family/circle etc have been generally aware of the difference in cultures/languages/food etc in Gujarat vs Rajasthan vs Harayana vs Punjab vs UP etc, I like a lot of South Indians, still remain largely unaware of the difference in people/languages/dressing/cultures between Nagaland, Assam, Tripura, Manipur etc

Yet we WANT to claim North East India as part of India!

Lashy I openly admit I am still ignorant about all the culture, food, habits, rituals! The problem is India is a big country with 100's of languages spoken, each state have their own language, food, culture, festivals...it is not possible to know all! Now I know there is Karnataka, Andhra, Kerala and TN in South India, when I was young I had no idea! Here is USA triple the size of India, there is one language, same celebrations round the year are followed, so it is easy! As I tell my colleagues here, in India we speak minimum 3 languages if not more! English, Hindi and your mother tongue! Here they talk in one or maximum in 2.

And moreover every day a new state is formed in India, frankly, I don't even know how many total states are there now. And our previous generation is all the more ignorant! 😃

Sandy I deserve a BIG PAT on the back! That is my own creation! Long process! First I took screen shots of the moments of Jalal I want on my iPad. Then transformed them to google drive. From my cell I used the gallery mode to take them and form a collage and then uploaded the collage to Imgur and then posted it here. Took me how many hours I don't know, kept on doing trial and error! Finally nailed it! Did a happy dance after that, as if got a promotion! 😆

Maybe there is an easier way, these girls will know but I took the longer route! So finally got the sweet result! 😃
