Sandy I will give the credit to Sourav Ganguly for bringing the battered confidence back and to play as a TEAM! Previously each player would play for their own sake and get out! Even Sachin was an excellent player but not an effective captain. It was first Dada who brought that aggressive attitude to perk the team morale up! Then came Dhoni and the team got invincible and every time with that chilled attitude when he hits the sixes in the last over or even the last ball to give us a win it is nail-biting and thrilling to the core to watch!

Sachin was the Indian team's Jodha Begum. A player who sought perfection, whose cricket was very beautiful to watch, but effective in terms of team victory? Tsk tsk...

Saurav and Rahul Dravid rebuilt the team's battered confidence. After the Sharjah 6 the team used to simply throw away matches even from winning situations, and buckled at the smallest pressure. Under Saurav's captaincy, they started to win from winning situations. But under MSD, they made winning a habit. He used to coolly snatch the match even from precarious situations. He deserves the credit for the present day confidence levels.
