WAS SHE UPSET THAT HE USED THEM TO GAIN AN ENTRY INTO THE HAVEL AND GOT THE FARMAAN

OR WAS SHE UPSET BECAUSE HE USED UP THE LADDUS FOR THIS PURPOSE, WHEN SHE HAD PAINSTAKINGLY GIVEN THEM TO HIM TO SAVOUR

SEEMS TO ME THAT HER FOREMOST GRUDGE WAS THAT HE HANDED OUT THE LADDUS GIVEN BY HER TO OTHERS 😉

Apart from the grains, the smell of the two differ when not polished. And you will also hear slightly different sounds when you knock against then. And carving is smoother and finer in the higher quality rosewood.

Nevertheless, Sheesham is also a type of rosewood though at the lower end of the spectrum and cheaper. The wood merchant even with all his dislike for Mughals wouldn't have dared to suggest country wood for the Mansabdar. His suggesting Sheesham was most natural. These days modern (reputed) manufacturers are quite good at sealing Sheesham too... but... thank you so much da... as Manu and Adwi have said you are an ocean of knowledge
