Errmmm Sandy, sorry to burst your bubble! Maybe Jalal has not told you the whole truth, the 5000 women were only for his pleasure! Those didn't include his mom, badi ammi and khwaja seras, or jiji anga or Gulbadan begum!!

Akbar intrigues me a lot and so I have read a lot on him including Akbar nama and Akbar, The Great Mogul by Vincent Smith and specially the later openly talks about his weakness for the fairer sex for which he was often sermoned politely by the sufis, Jesuits and Jains but he simply smiled and kept quiet! Later in his life the transformation started and he gave away his wives and concubines to men of high ranks and stature in his courts! Don't know why because I didn't think they were objects to be given away...but anyway so that was it! Just some facts! He even said later on in his life, if he were knowledgeable enough then he would have been an one woman man!

But with the show's Jalal you can think anything you want! 😉 He was Balaji's Jalal and he differed a lot from the original! 😃 And he was more than handsome...he was dashing, suave, smart, intelligent, cool and had a great sense of humor!
