Lashy sahiba dearest... 🤗🤗🤗🤗

After our talk on WA, I revisited 30 & 31 to pick some excerpts and weave my comments around it. But like it usually happens with your novels, I forgot to do what I was supposed to do and did what I wasn't here for - reading all 3 parts end-to-end... yet again. And then the problem is back to square one - what to comment? How to comment? 😆

Just to be not repetitive of your superlative writing skills and out-of-box imagination skills, I'm skipping the lauding part. Also the wonderful critics here would've already dissected, introspected and delineated the events of 30 & 31 in their awesome reviews. So I'm skipping the analysis part. Then what is left...?😆

Of course... the fun part!! 😉
And here it is...

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Respected Mansabdar of Parnagarh/Ustaad Sahib/Khan Sahib,
Hope this letter finds you hearty, hale and healthy. The triple addressing above might bewilder you but it was purposefully put because at the time you read this letter, I don't know who of you is reading it - the Mansabdar, who I'm yet to completely know or the Ustaad, who I defintely know or the businessman who I assumed to thoroughly know.
You might find the confusion ridiculous and unnecessary but I do have very valid reasons to be so.
One - You claim to care for my people and land like the Khan sahib, but you handover the farmaan, the only sustenance of Parnagarh, to the prince like the Ustaad.
Two - You come running to save my life like the Khan sahib, but you're hell bent on ruining it with a wedding to you like the Ustaad.
Three - You make a civil talk a day before like the Khan sahib, and a day after you intimidate me with arrests like the Ustaad.
Four - You brag you're not power thirsty, but you exchange mansabdaargiri for a farmaan.
Five - You claim to love a simple life like the Khan sahib, but insist on having all royal paraphernalia to yourself like the Mansabdar.
Six - You expect me to treat you like the Khan Sahib, but you behave with me like the Ustaad or Mansabdaar and at times both.
Seven - I confided my fears, my secrets, my heart in the Khan sahib I knew. But the Ustaad in you had used (and is still using) all of them against me.
All said and done, the point is - I don't know you. And another point more important than the aforesaid one is - I don't want to know you. This letter is only to set your expectations straight... both on our marriage and on me as your wife. Do Not, I repeat, do not expect me to understand you, your feelings or your mood swings as a wife. To the world, you'll be my husband. To me, you are and will be a STRANGER. Period.
But yes, since you permitted me to continue as the healer that I'm, I'd like to return your favor. Though I wouldn't serve you as a wife, I'd like to offer you my services as a healer. No, not for the calluses on your palms, for the bigger disorder you're currently going through - Split personality disorder.
Looking forward to heal you,
To-be-yours but never-to-be-yours,
Heera.
~~~~~~~~~~

Wanna read Khan sahib's reply...? 😆

~~~~~~~~~
Dear Heera,
Hope this letter finds you in a better state of mind than you were when you wrote that letter. The intimate addressing above might appall you but it was purposefully put because at the time you read this letter, I want you to be clear of who wrote this letter - Yes, its me, the horse merchant you always confided in writing this; not the Mansabdar you despise or the Ustaad you fear.
Had you given it a thought, you wouldn't have any confusion about who I am or what my roles are.
To care for and honor you, I'm the Khan Sahib.
To safeguard your people and you from the likes of Khalil, I'm the Ustaad.
To salvage your lands, your people and you from the power of the Prince, I'm the Mansabdaar.
As to your grievances against me, here are my answers.
One - I indeed care for you, your people and lands. That is exactly why I handed over the farmaan to Shehzaade. Having the farmaan with you was nothing but death lurking behind you. You'd be killed, so would your people and your lands will anyhow been seized.
Two - You call the wedding ruining your life, but I call it resurrection... of your power, pride and honor. With this wedding, I only mean to restore your rights on what was yours.
Three - I had to intimidate because you refused to heed to the civilian in me.
Four - If I were power thirsty, I'd exchange the farmaan to be mansbadaar of the wealthiest town in country. Not for Parnagarh, a piece of to-be-exploited-land with to-be-refugee-people... both of which I've to resurface with my authority and wealth.
Five - I live a simple life. My lackluster Aidabad Haveli should speak for it. I insisted on not moving out single paraphernalia because you're going to share the Haveli...with me.
Six - I always am Akbar Khan to you. It's your rebuttal to my proposals, which again are for your own safety, that bring the Ustaad or Mansabdaar or at times both out of me.
Seven - I agree and apologize for using your fears (of your people's safety), your secrets (of farmaan) against you. But your heart... how I wish I could convince you that all of this is only to not let it tear apart.
All said and done, the point is - I care for you. And another point more important than the aforesaid one is - I love you. You may not want to understand me today, but I'll patiently wait for the day you accept I'm not a STRANGER to you.
And yes, I'll gladly accept your services as a healer. No, not for the split personality disorder you believe I have. For the much deeper suffering I'm currently going through - the suffering of your curse.
Looking forward to be healed.
Forever yours,
Akbar Khan.
"It made sense..." Heera sighed. "His every point made complete sense." Her finger that constantly lingered over his signature spoke for the yearning her heart felt - a profound yearning to forgive and return to the young businessman it was once lost to. Yet... Heera retreated finger from his name and looked down to her heart. "Don't be quick." She direly warned. "There's a lifetime to heal."
