Harshu dear, with this chapter many of our questions have been answered. For one, all of them are Hindus forced to assume Muslim identities to safeguard themselves but more importantly, for Jodha's sake and to achieve their dream of making her Malika e Hind.
Mir Khan escaped with Jodha and settled in Surajgarh - the perfect place for him to bring up Jodha away from the lustful eyes of the Emperor and to groom her to be the Empress of Hindustan. Ismail ( the Moulvi/ Guru Charan ) and Asma ( Vimla/Shailaja) are also Jodha's guardians.
Jalal is more determined than ever to make Jodha his Queen. With his MIL's ( Ganga) blessings, he is confident of realizing his dream in life which is to ascend the throne. Unfortunately, Ganga will not live with them at the palace as she wants to devote her life to God.
The countless secret passages and tunnels around and under the palace explain how they were able to outwit many an enemy as well as successfully create a spooky atmosphere to scare the living daylights of anyone who dared to enter their town.
So now we wait in excitement for the wedding of Jalal and Jodha to take place.
Thank you, Harshu for clarifying our many doubts. It was a very illuminating chapter. 🤗
