Yes... chota faizan knew about the Mahender - Khalil connection... but one thing, no one knows about this Mahendar-Heera rishtaa other than Chitranjan kakasa of course... so no one can connect the dots yet... not even AMK...

good thing Sayyid is trailing her,given that unexpected visitor...who is he?Most probably Mahendra 🤔 . At least he would know her whereabouts till she reaches Bansi.
Sayyid and his group of men... yes.. they're trailing their bhabhijaan... so she'll be safe... 😆😭

Their parting scene was heart wrenching😭.The pain, helplessness,sadness,can't-tell- you-the-truth it all took me to NJAPA where Jo did something like this with Jalal... to keep him safe.
There it was temporary... here AMK has ended it permanently... there Ja is different mindset.. he has the possibility of moving on (which we knew he wouldn't...) but here, after all this, in the 17th c, can Heera ever move on?

Best thing how beautifully you have written that scene⭐️ felt like I was standing somewhere in that room watching them...feeling dejected with her and helpless with him.When she left,part of me wanted to go after her to see how she is dealing with it and other wanted to stay with him.There I realized I love both equally😲...for this update though😆.

And the opening scene was .Khan Sahib's practice session...you said he was good with bow and arrow but this good hitting targets in moonlight😲...loved that part.❤️
Oh yes... I forgot to put up a post on mounted archers which I wanted to...
As for shooting at night & night vision - if you've trained yourself in low light for long enough, using the right techniques, your eyes will start adapting to low light...
In the army, even today, soldiers are required to do target practise at night... when they go into enemy territory (like thick forests etc), they can't use lights at all times if they have to avoid detection...

He comes from a very violent environment... and not everyone has the morals he has..

Fatherless children suffered and widows suffered even more... having a family/wife/ or even a mistress would be a weakness for him... who could easily be taken hostage, to threaten him to give up his secrets...

Or if he was killed elsewhere, and the news didn't reach his family in time - or they didn't know he was dead... they'd be taken in as slaves.. that's even worse!

Apart from worrying for their safety... there was also another issue - his own safety... the most common methods that spies were done away in those days (and this is documented) is by poisoning... imagine how many times he'd be putting himself at risk, every single instance that he decided to trust a woman... and spend some time in her company! (nothing amorous, just spending food/drink time in her company was enough)

It's all of these reasons put together that he's stayed away..

Plus, the kind of women he's met have always been shallow - be it the money-hungry power-hungry politics-based aristocratic women at court... or the quarrelsome judgemental middle-class lower-class ... Heera is a Heera!

He had to reject her, because he cannot give her what she deserves.
When responsibilities were weighing her down, she turned to him for respite,
He pretended ignorance, for he can never give her normal and stable life.
He walked over her heart, which is softer than the rose petal
So that she would forget him and move on.
He would have given his life,
if it can assure her safety. But it wouldn't. He have to let her go. he have to let her go.
