A person however old or important or accomplished gets a feel of being cared primarily through food. His chachajaan was the sole provider of food for him and he felt cared only with him all through his childhood. So when he saw the absence of food, Akbar perhaps felt 'not cared' for a while.😭😭 He thought that the one man who was always there to care for him has really grown tired of caring for him. Hence the agony and searing pain. 😭😭
Harka Sahiba, prepare a meal for him please!😳
Sandhya you remember how Shyamala periyamma and you too, used to call me Jalal's (JA) eyes and ears...
looks like that's what you're doing here now... you seem to have a knack for understanding AMK/HS' mindset!
Here, you have summarised EXACTLY what it was about that line that was painful... and used EXACTLY the kind of words that would have taken me a good while to think up and write..
He thought that the one man who was always there to care for him has really grown tired of caring for him.
This is why it was painful...
And the fact that man (and even a woman) equates food=caring is something that has been since the birth of civilisation.. it continues even today... even amongst the independent modern western world ... be it a cold sandwich made by the mister when you're feeling down... be it a kind offer of a cup of tea from an office colleague... be it homemade sweets prepared by your friend's mom all the way from India..
But all of this brings a smile to our face... because offering someone food is caring, is giving, is nourishing.
Thank you for the 'Navratna' mention 🤗
Harshu called me Syamantaka I'm going to dance anyway even though I don't know how it looks!
