Because it's the author who portrayed the characters.. it's the author who knows the concept, it's the only author who knows how to gradually shape characters of his/her story.

Anyone can write next chapters but no one can bring that charm.. that perfection which is needed to make the readers hook on the story.

Anyways friends ..i really appreciate rose thought...she took so much time and actually posted the list of stories which r abandoned ,im sure it might have taken a long time for her to do so ...but then she did ...for readers like us...who want to see happy ending of their favourite stories ...kudos to u girl

Agreed ... with the permission of writers would be nice the stories continued with an end in sight ...😊

I totally agree with red.
But: "We are responsible for those who were tamed"... 😊
But you have to understand and readers too. I understand Shagun, lovecandy and other (that is, and I also very much want a continuation 😊). But other than that, I believe that only the writer has all the rights to his story.
But responsibility has to be too.
In the history of Russia were such regimes, when there was complete censorship. But what distinguishes the present writer: he will write even knowing that his novel would NEVER be published, NEVER No One will read his books. But they all the same write, just because they can't not write, also, as can't not breathe.
Mikhail Bulgakov wrote the novel "The Master and Margarita" from 1929 to 1940, until his death. Published novel was in 1966-67. This is a really GREAT novel! This novel is quoted by heart. "Manuscripts don't burn".
I understand how important it is to know, to feel the response reactions. But the writer and the reader are connected to the fact that the reader, too, gives his heart, soul and pain. 😊
In the old Soviet comedy one character says: "everyone can offend of an Artist!"
roseraja wrote a very polite letter. Nobody not want to offend the writers. 🤗
To paraphrase of Carter Brown, it's "Lament for favorite writers." We love you and love your stories.
We say: "Talent - gift of God." God gives you talent, you gift it to people. Something like this... 😃

If 5 people are asking for update and other 50 members didn't even open pms for whatever reasons.. though they are chatting on other threads then that doesn't mean writers are at fault.

If readers want the writers to understand that they can only hit like (which most of the readers understand) and can't comment because of many reasons then writers also have a life other than IF.

It's their choice whether to update their story or not, ofcourse if they are not getting the desired response.

But I actually feel that writers and readers both appreciate each other because both are giving their time to each other.

If readers are not commenting and pressing like button,then They don't have any right to ask for update!!

I want to add. Interrupted stories, it's not one or two chapters. This is a really big work, almost 2/3 of really book. And very good book. And every time I think, probably, with the author happened something bad, if he stopped writing.
