Dear Lashy!
So saddest thing to read at the end of "See you in a week's time...". It as from running start fly on a brick wall ...
Awww how sweet 😆
Until just initial thoughts.
How difficult Heera not only from all the misfortunes to which she was accustomed, from the tragedy with her sister. But, in spite of love for her, her maids all the time get her under the troubles. Maybe it prevents that she is only 16 years old, probably the fact that she isn't "cruel and arrogant" noblewoman, but for the umpteenth time impudence and familiarity maids lead to complications. And if it was not Akbar, could lead to big trouble. Reminded of "David Copperfield" as without strong-arm all their maids to get out of hand.
Yes... there are many reasons for that...
These maids have never stepped out of Parnagarh... so they're not used to staying at others' places.., and of what they've heard growing up 'Mughals cannot be trusted'... so, they have no respect for the Mughal men... they are of simple minds and cannot be broadminded like Heera, who can read beyond expressions... they see Akbar's men as stern people and dislike them...
chacha jaan who was friendly from day 1, they like and never tease him...
So it's their suspicious nature that makes them very quarrelsome... but with this incident (and another one) they do learn a lesson!
I would liken this situation to an Indian wedding... where the whole family is there.. everyone loves one another... but, there is always arguments, tension because everyone's personality is so different...
So great that she guessed (not guessed, to figure out, as Holmes) that Akbar could not do that.
Yes she was sad... and her little 16 year old ego then got broken.. though she was quite graceful about it..and tried to take it in stride!😭
Can say, they have 1,5 the conversation, but both feel each other as the closest people.
Yes they feel each other so well. Soulmate??🤔
Very subtly you written sadness, when she realized that he could not send a flower. This is some kind of a weed, such as bindweed?
The flower called a Zergul is a calendula... it's oil is used to treat inflammation... even available in ointments and medicines these days.. I think its from this plant that the name 'Calamine' became popular! So, the Parnagarh people thought their flowers (Zerguls) were best... but, Azeez proved that even at Aidabad Zerguls can grow 😆
You know what... Heera never felt humbled at that though... 😊 even though she's the expert at plants...
the only thing hurt her is that she is beginning to expect something from a stranger - and she didn't approve of her own behaviour!
P.S. Teaser - delightful with brevity and intrigue. But I'm very glad that not read it yesterday. 😛
I read in childhood a marvelous Turkish tale about the "Stone of patience." I was very impatient in 16 years, now I can to be patient. But I really do not want to use, and me really don't like it is my ability to ...
You're saying you are patient or... you're impatient?
