It was a warm sunny day. A beautiful girl with her midnight-black blue, long waist-length hair, beautiful golden-brown, doe-shaped eyes, soft plump-pink deliciously kissable lips, long pointed nose and ferociously sexy and curvaceous body was standing in the kitchen of her small house, preparing breakfast for her darling husband. Her long swan like neck and temple glittering with sweat beads, forehead covered with wheat flour, traces of her locks dangling on her face, everything about her was making her look ferociously hot and provocative. This alluring and highly delectable feminine figure, an epitome of angelic beauty was Jodha.

She turned around towards the dining hall and jumped anxiously noticing the time. Shit, it was already seven. She was late today.

"Ohh God, I'm gone today!!! "She murmured worriedly chewing her nails in distress.

"I should go and wake him up..."

Washing her hands and cleaning her messy look, she rushed towards his bedroom. It wasn't a big-spacious room, but still quite comfortable. Her husband was sleeping on bed. Fidgeted and fretful she reached near his bed and called him in her sweet and melodic yet frightful voice.

Listen... Said jodha

But her words didn't reach his ears. Even after 2 minutes of continuous trying, when he still didn't hear her, she shook his shoulders gently-

"It's seven already, please wake up... "She uttered in her fearful trance.

As soon as her hands made contact with his skin, he jerked in annoyance and startled her screaming agitatedly-

"Bloody hell, why the hell I have to face this gloomy figure every morning!!!

And what the hell is wrong with you???

Why are you late today???

And what is this???

Aren't you vile enough that now you have spoilt your ugly face even more!!!"

He snapped her twisting her wrist and gripping her jaw roughly. Tears of pain and agony rolled down her cheeks.

"I don't want to see you again like this ever again...

If it happened again, be ready for the consequences!!!

Am I clear???"

He spoke sternly tightening his hold on her more aggressively.

"Ye... yesss..."

Stuttered Jodha facing her head down and holding back her painful lump.

"Now what are you looking at???

Who'll make my breakfast, your mom!!!

Go and get it ready..."

Saying this Surya pushed her roughly and went towards the washroom to get freshen up. Jodha rushed out of the room crying hysterically. Even though it was her daily routine to scolded and abused by her husband, still she couldn't bear him man-handling her. Keeping her emotions in bay, she prepared his breakfast and placed them on the dining table.

Neelam and Nirmal, Surya's parents, too joined them for the morning breakfast. Once everyone settled down, she started serving them.

"Again these Paranthas!!!

I'm fed-up seeing this rubbish food like you everyday..."

Shrieked Surya glaring at Jo and jerking the plate angrily and making her jump in fear.

"I'll make something else from tomorrow..."

Jo stuttered dimly keeping her gaze low.

"Better..."

Saying this he looked towards his parents and continued further-

"Mom Dad, today one of my friend is coming from Australia...

We have to discuss something important, so he would be staying here with us..."

Surya spoke in his non-argumentative and informative yet polite tone.

"But how any stranger like this can stay here???"

Asked Nirmal dubiously. Being the head of the family, he was responsible to look-forward in such matters for his family's safety.

"You don't worry, he is a gentle and kind man..."

Cleared Surya respectfully.

"Okay son..."

Spoke Neelam smilingly. Once done, Surya left for his office while the couple for their temple visit.

It was around 12 at noon and Jodha was preparing lunch in the kitchen after finishing her house cleaning chores. She was humming her favourite song-

"Yaara...
Manzilein ruswa hain

Ye meri zamaanat hai
Tu meri amaanat hai aa...

A man entered the house seeing the entrance door open.

"Mujhko iraade de
Kasamein de, waade de
Meri duaaon ke ishaaron ko sahaare de
Dil ko thikaane de naye bahaane de
Khabon ki barishon ko mausam ke paimane de
Apne karam ki kar adaayein
Kar de idhar bhi tu nigaahein...

He smiled hearing ohh so melodic voice of a lady and moved in the direction of the kitchen from where the voice was coming.

"Sun raha hai naa tu
Ro rahi hun main
Sun raha hai naa tu
Kyun ro raha hun main...

Jodha turned around feeling someone's presence behind her back. A smart and handsome man, in his late twenties, was standing near the doorway giving his warm and decent smile.

Hi...said the man

Jodha instantly covered her head with her Saree seeing a strange man in front.

"Sorry... But I didn't recognise you..."

She enquired politely.

"I'm Jalal, Surya's friend..."

The person in front introduced himself while appreciating her decent and virtuous gesture inwardly.

"My God, I have never seen anyone so respectful..."

His eyes exuded admiringly, passing his mind numbing smile.

"OHHH YESS... He informed us earlier..."

Jodha replied keeping her gaze lowered. Just then Surya entered the house and greeted Jalal hugging him friendly.

"Heya Jalal... How are you buddy???

When did you reach???

It's a pleasure seeing you again after so long..."

"I'm good buddy...

How are you???"

"I'm good too..."

Saying this he gestures Jalal towards the living room passing Jo a sternful glance. She goes inside the kitchen and brings water for them and left again to finish her hand in task and preparing their snacks.

Jalal and Surya were chit chatting casually and Jodha was serving them tea and snacks when the landline started ringing. She came towards Surya and informed him about the call from his office. Surya excused Jalal leaving the duo behind. Jodha was collecting tray and empty glasses when Jalal uttered politely-

"You have great voice..."

Jodha was shocked hearing his out of the blue appreciation. She didn't know he was listening her song. More than his words, his divine and husky voice tempted her. Before he could say further, she heard Surya's footsteps behind and rushed away from their to avoid any unwanted dispute and accusation from her husband. Jalal was amused seeing her reaction and kept looking in the direction she left. Surya noticed his gaze and cleared his throat to get back his attention.

"Jalal, she is Jodha, my aunt's daughter...

Since her parent's death she is living here with us..."

Surya told Jalal pointing towards Jodha.

Jodha, who was in the hallway, was shocked hearing her husband's words. She couldn't understand why her husband was lying.

Ohh...said jalal

Jalal exhaled sympathetically for her loss.

Then Surya showed Jalal his room and went to his own room. Once sure Jalal wasn't around, Jodha entered Surya's room and questioned him-

"Why did you lie him about me being your relative and not wife???"

Surya instantly shushed her and dragged her away from the door locking it behind, properly. He twisted her wrist angrily and snapped her back-

"Don't you dare say this in front of him...
Got it!!!"

"But why???"

Questioned Jo perturbed.

Surya winked her and jerking her behind relaxed himself on the bed.

"Firstly because you are just a burden on me...

Don't know why dad promised your father in his last minutes to get me married with you and take care of your mother???

Just because of that one bloody promise, i had to marry a misfortune like you...

Secondly, Jalal and his father have a huge and vast empire there in Australia...

I want you to act in love with him and marry him so that you can bring me his fortune...

He also has a sister, but since she isn't here at present, so you are my only option left till she comes here...

Once she'll be here, I'll marry her and get rid of you...

And yeah, don't put this veil from now onwards..."

Jo was shocked would be understatement. Till now she felt he didn't treats her properly as she might not be his type or he wasn't ready to marry so soon. But after knowing his real intentions, whatever respect she had for this man, her so called husband, died too. In no way she can ditch someone for money and break his heart and trust.

"I cannot do this...

No, I will not do this..."

Jodha stated determinedly. She will never stoop so low, never ever. But Surya was not the one to take her No. He stood up from his bed and slapped her hard in rage. The slap was so powerful that Jodha stumbled down with it's effect.

"What did you say???

You won't???

Have you forgot your mom is sick and it's us who send money for her treatment???

If we back off, what will happen to her??? She will die...

So if you want to see her fit and fine, just do as I say...

Hope you got me well..."

But- said jodha

Jodha wanted to reject him, convince him, but Surya interrupted in between in his stern, authoritative tone-

"Just do as I say..."

And giving her warning glare left out of the room leaving a shattered Jodha behind.

"Ohhh God...

What is he making me do!!!

I cannot hurt anyone intentionally...

I cannot play with someone's heart and emotions...

Please help me God, please help me..."

She was completely heart broken. After minutes of crying, she adjusted herself presentable and left down stairs to complete her work.

Rest of the day went in blur.

Next morning Jo woke up early and prepared breakfast as per everyone's choice. All were settled down in dining hall and chit chatting with each other.

"Jalal, it's your meeting today, right???"

"Nope buddy...

Actually it got postponed for the next day..."

"Ooo... Then you'll get bored today...

I'm sorry friend, but I have some important work at office today and even mom dad won't be around, as they'll be going to uncle's place..."

Surya apologized covering his face with a mask of facade and gesturing his parents to support him in his drama. Showing as if he really cared.

"We are really sorry son for the inconvenience..."

Neelam too joined the play set up by her son. Only person aware of this whole drama was Jodha, who was burning in rage inside and holding herself not to utter anything before them and spoil their mood. She cannot go against them, plus she cannot deceive Jalal as well.

"It's ok Surya...

I can understand your plight...

You don't worry about anything...

I'll manage on my own..."

Surya smiled inwardly seeing his plan succeeding and gestured his parents to meet him outside.

Once out, Neelam enquired Surya what he was upto inside at the dining hall.

"Mom, the more they'll spend their time together, the sooner we'll get the result..."

Assured Surya giving his lopsided smirk and evil grin. And all three of them burst laughing devilishly.

"Now come on, let's go..."
