Today we had three great scenes, but the way you narrated them in this post gave me additional pleasure. That is a rare touch, to be able to package something delightful and make it even more appealing.
1 Your description of the handheld scene was a blast. Jodha's new Hunar of flirting had her husband confused, he couldn't believe his luck.
2 The Chisti scene was serene. Your description of it is the reason why I cherish this post so much. You even managed to add such a beautiful poem by Pant in your description. That scene indeed had the look of a divine experience. Even the emotions that both Jodha and Jalal exhibited were muted as if outward display of emotions was inappropriate on such an occasion. Of course, Jalal's momentary delight at Salim Baba words about Jodha becoming MUZ could not be hidden.
3 The imperial Jalal will become a rare commodity soon so it was such a pleasure to see that aspect of his personality interacting with Todar Mal. Even his words with Jodha as she did her Lep service had the royal touch.

I want to say more, but really I am tongue tied, there are so many little scenes worth commenting, and your description of each is so good I would like to comment on each. Anyway back tomorrow.

Dear Lavanya!
Thank you very much for your post. I always like your immediate response to me.
Lavanya, the pilgrimage with Benazir was not to Sikhri. It was to a nearby place. And the so called "mannath" was not for or by Jalal. So I think that he means only the other one, and we could see from the expression of Jodha's face that she remembers her foolish act of removing the bullets from the gun!

Yours

Saraswathi Aunty.

FIRST OF ALL, LOVELY WISHES TO YOU FOR CELEBRATING YOUR FIRST VALENTINE'S DAY !! 😆

I REALLY LIKED THE COMMENTS THAT YOU GAVE IN REPONSE TO SHYAMALA AUNTY'S POST. THE FIRST PARA IN PRAISE OF THE POST WAS AWESOME.

THE KILLING HIS EGO COMMENT THAT YOU MADE WAS LOVELY!

THE SPOILT PILGRIMAGE THAT HE WAS TALKING ABOUT WAS THE ONE HE ATTEMPTED WITH BENAZIR, WHEN JODHA SAVED AND STOPPED HIM FROM BEING BITTEN BY HER. IT WAS NOT THE TIGER ATTACK TRIP, COZ IN THAT TRIP THE PILGRIMAGE WAS ALREADY COMPLETED BEFORE THE ATTACK.

YOUR COMMENT ABOUT THE TAX ABOLITION TOO IS CORRECT. HE DOES MENTION IT WITH RESPECT TO JODHA, BUT THE FLASH BACK SCENE IS A COMPLETELY DIFFERENT AND NEW ONE. SO WE DONT KNOW WHEN EXACTLY THAT TOOK PLACE. I GUESS THE WHOLE IDEA THERE IS TO GIVE CREDIT TO JODHA SOMEHOW, EVEN THOUGH, IN THIS CURRENT TRACK, JALAL FEELS SAD ABOUT THIS TAX, ALL ON HIS OWN, WITHOUT JODHA PRODDING HIM.

GOING TO THE OTHER TREAD TO CHECK OUT BABY SARASA NOW 😉

No, Akka, Lavanya is right, For if you watch that segment again, you will see that he refers specifically to hum par teeron se hamla kiya gaya tha, which clearly refers to Jodha shooting at Benazir. There were no arrows shot in the Mohan narnaal kaand.

My dear Donjas,

Thank you so much for noting and liking that verse from Sumitranandan Pant. It is one of my favourites, and the whole of Tum aur main refers as much to the relationship between the aaradhya and the bhakt as to the relationship between a man and his beloved.

Yes, the Chisti scene was sublime; an effect which is very rare because it is very difficult to achieve. I agree completely with your line about overt emotional displays being inappropriate in such a place.

You cannot imagine the pleasure I feel when something I love myself touches a chord with a reader. Thank you!

My dear Stuti,

It is I who should thank you for, firstly, loving this post so much, and then for such a comprehensive and well thought out set of comments, which are indeed a compliment to me as the writer.

I am so pleased that you found the explanation about Camelot useful, and that like me and so many others, you would have wanted this lovely track to continue for a while longer. But of course that did not happen, for the CVs do not like spoiling discerning viewers with too much of good stuff, 😉and then again, their target audience probably prefers the routine melodrama.

But then they should have used my masale se bharpoor scenario, but they made that so tame! Plus, I could not understand why all that jewellery was needed to pay just 20 sikke as the teerth kar! 200 for 20 persons should be 20 for two, and surely even one bangle would have been worth the full 200 and then a lot more!
As for the poor soldiers of Jalal's, I suppose Atgah had them freed and got them back to Agra.
I would have liked to have seen the daroga's face when he learnt whom he had almost whipped!😉

Dear Shyamala Aunty,

If I say that I enjoyed this post of yours thoroughly, that would surely be an understatement, for I was actually smiling throughout the post. 😳 And this is the effect which normally episodes have on me. So you can see that I enjoy this one A LOT. Amazing experience it was! Thank you so so much for posting this series, Aunty! 🤗

I really want to comment on each and every little detail. But I am really short of time now, because of exams. Or I would have commented the day you posted it. 😛😆 I'll be back very soon, most probably today, for tomorrow is the easiest exam we have in this week! 😆

I hope your fingers feel better very soon, Aunty. 😃

The easy paper tomorrow must be your Language Paper II! Correct?😉

You were quite close, Aunty! 😉

It was Physics today, and you're right, for I was busy the whole of yesterday. 😭

But it went well. 😃 The thing is that I made a silly mistake, and got the easiest question ( perhaps ) in the paper wrong. 😡😡🤢 But overall it was very good, and the paper was damn easy! 😃😃😃

And tomorrow is English Literature. 😃 It is too easy, except for the original version of "The Merchant OF Venice". That is really a boooring thing to read! 🥱😆

So, having studied your Physics thoroughly for your exams, you will be be in an advantageous position to explain about it to Baby Sarasa.😉

Aunty.
