This post is a gift. A totally unexpected and joyous gift.
Life's greatest pleasure are the unexpected moments of joy. Maybe that is the philosophy of life too, in the midst of suffering and sorrow we march on to receive those unexpected moments of pleasure. We crave those moments, it motivates us to keep going on.
1 The first Sikri episode is delightful. It had so many charming moments. There is the boat scene, the palkhi scene, the Marwari dialect and then the happenings at the Sarai. I read your description of these with interest, top class.
2 As for the pilgrim tax, the hapless CV's had not been told yet of Ekta's rush for a time leap, had they known they would have finished it off right now. That would have made sense, but they were following the movie schedule here, hence the delay.
3 The roti scene was beautifully described by you. You brought out in words what the actors portrayed on screen, a growing closeness but also hesitancy. For both these are uncertain waters.
4 The prison scene when the prison puts his arm around Jalal and pesters him was fun.
5 The emotions on Jalal's face in the scene where he is about to be whipped were telling. Rajat was on form and convincingly portrayed guilt tinged with frustration.
