The beautiful Paridhi Sharma who had gained fame in Jodha Akbar is now on a well deserved break. However apart from recharging her batteries and spending quality time with family, Paridhi is also doing her bit towards mother nature ." I have started a tree plantation campaign in my home town of Indore . I aim to plant 50000 sapling's in one year. To start with I am tying up with schools and private institutions, as I don't have the financial wherewithal to do it solo. It is easy to plant a sapling but taking care of it over the next three year's is a big financial burden, I hope other thinking individual's pitch in as well."
Talking about environmental degradation she says, " Let's face it the road to growth has it's pitfalls. There is need to strike a balance lest tragedies like Uttrakhand will keep happening . "
Here Paridhi goes against the normal grain of primarily speaking to the youth, " I rather call upon the earlier generation who caused the damage in the first place to come forward and encourage the youth save the planet. "
She has no plan's to take her green mission to Mumbai for the moment, " For I can only do some much at one go . Plus I feel that Mumbai is a better advantage for its three sided coastline drains away the huge pollution . Smaller cities like Indore need much more attention , the rising number of vehicle's is also a cause of concern ."
