There was no writeup for yesterday's episode, that can't be, so here goes-
Scene 1- Raja Bharmal and family arrive in Agra and are warmly welcomed by Jalal and Hamida Banu. To the disappointment of the sulking Maham, Jalal himself escorts the Queen to Jodha's room. As expected Jodha is overjoyed. Mainawati asks Jalal if Jodha is doing all right.
This was all the opening Jalal needed and he begins on how Jodha is doing just fine, why only yesterday she learned a new rasam after just one try. Of course he is alluding to the bath that Jodha gave him, and she goes beet red with embarrassment. She salvages the situation somewhat by noticing that Jalal is wearing shoes in Temple room so out he goes and Jodha is saved further shame. It seems that Jalal's tongue which was just supposed to say 'Labz Aapke honge zabaan hamari' has a life of it's own.
Scene 2- Jalal bestows 5000 mansabdari on Raja Bharmal. He then expresses the wish to eat food made by Jodha. Bhagwandas jumps in saying how good a cook Jodha is, so soon we have her cooking a meal for a patidev she ghrinas. The meal would have worked fine, but the Dayan Maham was in the area and in Jodha's absence upends a whole jar ful of mirchi in the food.
Jalal starts the meal, all eagerness, but the first bite and he feels the heat. But this Jallad Jalal is a decent fellow at heart, so he ploughs on, Mirchi and all. Sweat drips down his temples and you can almost see smoke coming out his ears. Anyway Jalal becomes the Guinness World record holder for finishing the hottest meal of all, and he rushes to his room to soothe his burning tongue.
Scene 3- The Ameris by know knew that something was wrong and that was confirmed when Jodha was ordered to his room. The moment Jodha came in, Jalal went on the offensive. He raged and ranted about how no one had ever done this to him. He warned her, how disastrous results could follow because of this dirty trick of hers,
Our Jodha was of course unfazed and said so, that angered him more. When she spoke of how she would never do do so loathsome an act, especially with her Ameri family in Agra, Jalal's anger reaches a crescendo. It seemed to him as if Jodha cared more for her Ameri family than for his obvious pain.
He raved to Jodha of how he was going to tell Raja Bharmal of the true situation between them. Jodha was mortified, she need'nt have been, Jalal never breaks a promise. Anyway, Jalal storms out.
