aunty, perfect analysis once again. one thing i like to add, chetan havent done much of positive roles, he was always know for his negative roles most popular was sasha in balaji's kahani ghar ghar ki. with other PHs also he had mostly know for negative roles, the worth mentioning shows r PRC, where RT played prithvi & veer shivaji.

as per the show goes, honestly, bharmal always irritates me. "pith pe war karne wala" i mean really?? wht is he??? snatched his own nephew's throne & look who is talking. 😡 as per jalal goes i dont know whether it was his plan or not bcoz its not shown, but right now im just going to enjoy rajat's mind blowing acting.😳

as per jodha goes, i had also said the same thing tht time regarding suryabhan issue. she is not at all love with him or dont have any intense feelings for him tht she will break down or go into any deep grief. she respects him for his qualities & afterall he is her would be husband so its normal she had tht natural gratitude for him, which she mistook as love. but tht feeling was never deep enough to go into any trauma.

Aunty,

A brief comment from my side, as I couldn't resist writing few words on your brilliant analysis of the episodes.

All the three episodes were intense and Rukaiyya-free😉😆

This was another fantastic review aunty🤗

I loved your logical interpretation of the entire sequence of events.

First,Sharifuddin has attacked Amer without Jalal's order nor there was any prior intimation from Sharif's side.Jalal comes to know of this, post attack and he expresses his pleasure to MA.I wondered whether it is possible for a Subhedar to wage a war on his discretion. Its extremely difficult to believe that Jalal has not discussed the course of action post victory with Sharif, given the importance of Amer to him. So,as you said he must have asked Sharif to screw Raja Bharmal.Wish these things were actually shown.

I liked Chugtai Khan,he is a true friend to Bharmal and also loyal to Mughul Sultanat.

Rajat,Paridhi,Ashwini and Chetan were flawless⭐️

I liked Bharmal's self talk scene too and the dialogue you mentioned.

I love Rajat's angry young man avataar❤️ ❤️and the blue dress suits him the most
The triumphant smile on his face knowing that Bharmal wants to meet him was a sight to behold😳😳.Amer and Jodha are synonyms for him😉😉

Paridhi depicted a true princess❤️❤️ and her performance was awesome👏👏.Her reaction to Surya's death was neither OTT nor less.I liked ur explanation😃.She was optimistic about the victory but was practical enough to understand the situation and accepted the defeat. As you said, she is a princess and knows the responsibility well.

The best scene was the one b/w Jalal-Adham-Maham.Jalal's dialogues and RT's dialogue delivery coupled with his rage filled expressions were beyond perfect.I liked the last warning he gives saying Adham's would've been the theesri laash and next time, even doodh ka karz won't help😉😆.It was directed at both Mother and son😆

But had Jalal gone deep into the matter and ordered strictly for evidences, instead of believing in fake proofs of Maham, his tiresome journey from Agra would have benefited. Also, from Preeti's comment, its clear that Malwa issue was part of actual history and not just NR.So,this seems incomplete

Jalal is definitely not a jallad,he cares for the riyaaya but needs some hitopadesham badly.Later,Jodha does the job.(She convinces him to go for a war against his Nigaar Aapa.)

Your reference to Adham being a changeling is hilarious🤣 and BK's last laugh too😆

How come Jalal didn't observe MA while leaving the room and how did MA place herself between Jalal's sword and Adham at the right time are million dollar questions😆😆I'm glad you mentioned these which were in my mind too.

I too felt Jalal's slight smile after his Nikaah with Salima was intended to MA😆 while she doesn't even bother to fake happiness

My post turned out longer than intended.I'm waiting for the next masterpiece aunty as I've not read ur reviews during original run of the show.

Excellent analysis Shyamala...👏.I agree with your reasoning that Jalal might have given instructions to SD abt how to go abt with Amer but if SD was also a part of the plan then why did he hesitate to release Jodha's brothers as per Jalal's orders? ...

Jallu's meeting with AK was good...and I liked both the actors...Chetan has always managed to impress audience with his acting...

Another thing is that Ruq has met Jodha and has seen how pretty she is...Ruq also knows Jalal ran away to Amer...How come she has not added two plus two?

Thank you so much, my dear, for a most unusual compliment! I loved it!!

Waiting for your detailed comments, especially on my theory that Jalal had planned it all in advance with Sharifuddin and Chugtai Khan. I am quite convinced of it.

I agree with you completely, Zhanna. Without the kind of tactical planning by Jalal that I have outlined, his behaviour makes no sense at all.

I really liked your explanation of the action Chugtai Khan.
I always thought that there was some kind of "gap". On the one hand - Jalal wants to get Jodha, on the other hand - there is not one scene where it was obvious that he gives some instructions by Amer. And it turns out that cowardly Sharifuddin, who is so afraid of Jalal, himself (!) decides to attack on Amer?
I'd like to write more, but we've already too late. Night. 😊

Thank you very much, my dear Ashwinee, but you mischievous child, what are you up to, downgrading my poor Jalal to a pupil of you know who?😉😉 Away with you! You should count your blessings that I have not taken my belan to y0u!!😉

My Jalal knew all this by himself, and in any case, Sandhya has fought and won his case better than I could have!😉

Thank you so much, my dear Raksha.

Actually, I was busy connecting the dots myself, and then I arrived at the theory that I have outlined about Jalal having preplanned the whole. It was so neat and fitted in with the facts of the case that I am now convinced that it is correct.

My dear Donjas,

I never know how to thank you properly, but please consider it done!

My supplementary comments are in blue.

Wow! What a feast! I enjoyed every tasty morsel of it. And like every good feast, it leaves a lingering aromatic taste in the mouth, in this case that Conspiracy theory of yours.

I believe it is totally feasible in the manner you put, my views are slightly different-

1 It is inconceivable in a modern army like Akbar's, that an army commander engaged in battle is not in touch with the Commander in Chief. In reality, a constant stream of messengers on fast horses would have conveyed news of the battle and it's aftermath to Jalal, and received orders in return. In one of the missives, the Emperor would have conveyed quite clearly, how he wanted the prisoners to be treated.

Besides, Sharifuddin is shown to be a clever man, he knows what Amer and Jodha means to Jalal. For his own well being, there is nothing he would do that would upset the cart.

So, we assume he receives orders on how to treat prisoners, but no instructions on ransom, otherwise he would have mentioned it clearly in that talk with Chugtai Khan. There is no need to hide this.

Besides Jalal knew his commander, he knew that sooner or later, he would put the screws on the Ameris. So like a spider, he waited.

Agreed, this is a distinct possibility. But I think Jalal would not have left the financial part to chance, but would have issued at least broad instructions on how Bharmal was to be squeezed. He would want Bharmal's breaking point to be reached sooner rather than later, and in this cases it takes 3 months of escalation from 5000 asharfis a month to 10000 to 20000. See, Sharifuddin would not want things to get to the point when Bharmal cannot pay and throws up his hands, for then Sharifuddin simply cannot to ahead with his threat to execute the 3 princes and all those Ameri soldiers as well. That would not be at all in line with Jalal's plans, and Sharifuddin would get into bad trouble with Agra.

2 Chugtai Khan, seems to be a real innocent here, his role in no more than a facilitator. He brought Bharmal to Jalal, but the Emperor must have know that this would happen sooner or later. If not Chugtai, somebody else would have played this role. Once Chugtai Khan brought Bharmal there, it was all up to Jalal.

3 As for Jalal's visit to Ajmer Sharif, that seems to be a coincidence rather than a deliberate attempt.

I would agree with your points 2 & 3 but for one thing, or rather two things, which I had highlighted in my post, and I repeat:

The clincher is the fact that the Shahenshah sends a message to Chugtai Khan that he is on his way to Ajmer and is camping at Sanganer. If Jalal was not confidentially in touch with Chugtai Khan, how would he know that he was coming to meet the emperor? And why would he inform Chugtai Khan that he, the Shahenshah, was much nearer that the former might have anticipated?

Finally, the slow, secret half smile that twists Jalal's mouth when Chugtai Khan's request for an audience is brought to him. The Shahenshah is clearly expecting Chugtai Khan.

As for the part in bold, I feel that this is too vague, and Jalal could hardly depend on some aira gaira go between to not just bring Bharmal to see him but also provide the correct cues during the actual face to face encounter, and at the right moment, ie the cue about a rishta - you only have to see Jalal's face at that point tonight! - and then coax the horrified, jibbing Bharmal to agree to the idea. Bharmal does not have any other Mughal friends except Chugtai Khan, remember, and his being one too is pure chance, ie that of Bharmal saving him earlier. So no one but Chugtai Khan could have played that role, and as for Jalal being in touch with him, my quote from my post spots the clues for this,

So I am sorry, but I do not buy your happenstance theory. In Jalal's place, I would never have left it to chance, but would have tied it all down to the last knot, and that is what he does.

The clash of Jalal with Adham was fantastic. As you said, it is difficult to dominate a physical specimen as well built as Adham, but Rajat's Jalal did it with a superb display of acting and body posture.
As for Adham escaping punishment, that Lord Krishna reference is totally apt. Jalal is too dependent on Maham at this moment in time. He believes that she is the only one who really loves him. Not his mother who did not even make an entry when he was writhing in agony after the news of Bairam Khan's death. And not Ruqaiya, who was so inconsiderate as to choose that moment to settle petty harem problems.

I really liked Paridhi's acting in the last few episodes. There are several hues that needed to be portrayed, such as horror, terror, desperation and bravery. All this she did very well and that is important.

In an epic serial you cannot have a main character not pulling weight. That will derail the show pretty fast. Paridhi did full justice to her part.

I agree completely with the above.

We can easily what happens when Ekta's selection policy is lax, a wooden Salim falls for a courtesan Anarkali, who cannot dance.

I never could understand how she chose that Salim and than Anarkali, and then dumped them unceremoniously. Salim was not even there for the closing episode!

O.K, the meal was sumptious. Now for the sweet dish on Tuesday. I can hardly wait.

Oh dear! I will do my best and I hope you are not disappointed!

I, for one, am truly impressed with the way this whole Amer war, Malwa incident and Bharmal meeting is so well grounded in history. All the NR has been so well incorporated that very few things seems out of place to me and I am willing to nazarandaaz those. This is a lesser crime than the things I have chosen to ignore much later.😆
I am in absolute agreement with you that more likely than not Jalal is the mastermind behind the Amer war. He has to be. The fact that they did not show any kind of guft-a-gu between Jalal and Sharif about the whens and hows about the war maintains the mystery around how this whole wedding proposal came about.
They let Jalal's expressions(RT was super) do all the talking and let the viewers decide for themselves. Anything more obvious would have taken away that mystery and the excitement about did he or did he not??
Chugtai Khan seemed genuine in his approach to Jalal but they did have few private minutes before Bharmal came in. Jalal may have given Chugtai Khan strong hints about which direction he wants the convo to go in.
Jodha was just the way she should be. Such maturity in one so young is truly commendable. She is one of those rare people who are like a rock of support. Just their presence is enough to boost a person's morale. She does have a tendency to Bhaashan maaro, like she did Bharmal as he left with CK to meet Jalal but in my eyes Jo ko sau bhaashan maaf.😆
PS: Modaks are all gone! Steamed and fried YUMMO!
