Abhay!
A splendid post, truly! Brought back those amazing, beautiful moments. And the pictures too are so apt! Those were such insane times!

Thanks again for the PM!

Though, I have nothing much to say, JA was the Forum, where I made maximum friends in, and where my stories were MOST appreciated.

I love you all, and miss you constantly! Miss those spamming threads, miss discussions, everything.

Abhay, I miss our chats too! xD I just took the opportunity to express whatever I wanted to here, instead of finding another post. Hope that is not an issue.

I hope, we meet somewhere, someday in a common Forum, and can once again, relive those amazing days!

Love ALL JA fans in JA Forum

Yours forever

Naj

P.S. I was first called Naj in this Forum as well!

Hey Abhay and all
I have so many fond memories of the serial that I don't know where to end. I remember starting to watch it from the marriage episode. Loved the first scene where jodha raises a knife on jalal n he says I will save u from everyone but no one can save u from me. The pride n dignity of jodha clashing with the ego of jalal was a treat to watch. The scene of sword fight was amazing n oh! The arti scene remains my favorite coz it showed how different they were from each other yet ready to accept each other's beliefs.
But my all time favorite scene remains the ooh aah scene from when jodha punishes jalal with push-ups. His naughtiness n her innocence was a treat to watch.
There r so many scenes I can't list all. But the one thing I do want to mention Is that what got me interested in the show was abhays posts coz they told me that this was not fiction n that the love between jodha n jalal was a reality. There were so many posts n msg saying that either jodha didn't exist or that she was not important enough but Abhay n Radhika showed with proof how much akbar really loved jodha.
I do hope that we can continue to remain connected on the forum or on abhays blog even after the show is over..

P.S: Abhay I hope u r still planning to make that post on akbar's marriages that u promised. I will be waiting for it.

Now coming to JA , well, where to start ?? How to find words when inside ,you're choked full of emotions and you're struggling to format the unruly avalance of feelings into cohesive sentences ??

I've been hooked onto JA since it's very first promo, I started watching it and continued watching it initially only n only for Paridhi's Jodha , and my love for Akdha comes only secondary to my love for MUZ, of whom I'm a passionate fan , and my love for Paridhi far exceeds my love for Parijat.

But Yes, I'm a huge fan of Akdha too. Me and my sister were pretty regular in JA forum, since the day it opened, we'd a chat club of Pari even before the forum was opened , such was our devotion for the beautiful PS. ( Perhaps you n some other regular members can still remember n recognise me by my previous username - Bamonforever , My sister - LuvMishalRaheja, more commonly known as Mac. ) I've a lot of beautiful n some bitter sweet memories tied to this forum, great times spent here in various thread, Ela di's , Mansi di's ,your historical threads , our PS ATs...and so many more. I've a huge number of favorite scenes of JA , don't know where to start or end. But my first favorite Akdha scene was that of a promo , where Jalal comes to Amer n asks for Jodha n Jodha starts running away ( I fell in love with Pari right there right then n it stayed so.) Akdha had legendary chemistry , they've immportalized their characters as well as the love saga between Akbar the great and his true companion Empress MUZ.

For me, the show has ended after Hassan's death , so I'm not shocked or much sad at the news of JA ending. In fact, I'm glad and thankful of whatever we got and that was truly a magical experience that I'll cherish forever.

Hi Garu

Reading your comment after an year i think, and ofcourse glad to find you back, here. Though, i have had lots of discussions with Mac on the threads, but yes, I remember you also. Infact, almost every member.

You have summed up everything perfectly. The threads you mentioned used to run into over 30/40/50 pages on a daily basis.! Those were the crazy days.! We all, on the forum, used to discuss each and every aspect of the show. RT and PS have played the role of JA to the perfection. The Payal scene you mentioned, is the first picture in the main post of page-1. Enacted really beautifully.!

The leap was a disaster, before that everything was perfect and the forum was so active. Anyways, no matter pondering over the spilt milk. These memories will remain forever.

Hope to meet on some other historical show forum. I watch CAS sometimes, reading about him too. I hope i remember your nick-name, right. This is how we called you?

Thank you for posting.

PS :
@All...Reading all the comments here, will be posting my replies slowly. :)

Sure Vinita, we will always stay connected, one way or the other. 😊

And yes, the post on Akbar's marriages is very much on the cards :)

Hi Krina

Your words and the words of every member here are what kept the pace of finding more about Akbar and the MUZ going. We all learnt from each other and today, 2 years down the line, we know so much more about the legendary lovers, and are still thirsting to discover more. So many here have started reading history books to learn first-hand about this eternal royal couple, it's amazing!

The show may end but the love and admiration we have in our hearts for the real Akbar and MUZ will always be there as will the golden memories of the reel characters from the show.

Thanks so much for sharing your views 😊

Hey Guys...

Making a post as a tribute to Akbar, as we are discussing Jodha Akbar in this thread.

The Format:

1. REAL Akbar..
2. REEL Akbar..
3. One track from the episode which i loved a lot due to it's historic importance..

REAL Akbar..

Writing about Akbar's mysticism and his views on religion, to the best of my knowledge and understanding.

I will try to sum up his thought process in as much short post as possible. One of the reasons, why i have NOT made a "conclusive post" TILL NOW about Akbar and his views on religion and mysticism is - The more i read, the more diverse views i get about his thinking. And, in turn, i turn to find answers of the new questions, leaving the older ones unexplored.!

I am struggling with myself and at times, i am left debating in my mind, about various actions and the reasons why Akbar took certain steps..

Read the views of Donjas, Devki, Charu, Radhika, Preeti and other about this issue on this thread. Hence the post.!

I have posted my views on the history sticky.
Link of my Post related to mysticism : Click Here to Read on Sticky

Note:
These were my personal views. :)

REEL Akbar..

One thing i would say that he is put life in the scenes and one can actually FEEL the power this man gives to the character. A role of a warrior will suit him a lot, as he can give that FORCE to the character he plays. Note any of his initial fight scenes of JA.

I can keep on writing many scenes.
But these are the ones which remain etched in my mind.

1.
I have enjoyed the episode when the Pilgrim Tax was removed. The dialogues he said were superb. I still remember the comment i made after the episode that time, last year.!

2.
Another one is his visit to the Dargah with Jodha after the marriage.
I love that Sufi song : Mak-un'tah Gakk'ul...~Behte Hue Paani par teri hi likhaee~

3.
The episode when Akbar comes after the Shah-i-Iran track from the war, and meets Jodha in Dargah. The BG Music and the atmosphere created by the Sufis in that shot was amazing. Gave a nostalgic feeling. Unable to express that in words...

One track from the episode which i loved a lot due to it's historic importance:

Though the makers did not show it as it should have been, considering the importance. But i was happy to write about this. So, no issues with the makers. Here also, i would thank them for at least touching this aspect. Had they not touched this event, at least i would not have dug up for myself.

I am talking about the Shah-i-Iran track. It was very much a historical and important event. It talked about how complex was geo-politics even in those days, and sheds light on the fact that "diplomacy is very much an ancient art" and how interwined were the religious issues. Yet, the MASTER-STROKE was something which left me stunned. I kept on wondering about the daring action..!!

Here are the LinkS.. I remember spending around a month reading & understanding what would have gone through Akbar's head ; and then writing about the Shah i Iran incident ..
{
VERY LONG posts : Shah i Iran Part-2 & Shah i Iran Part-1
}

I guess we all will agree, this show created a lot of interest regarding history among all of us.!

PS :
Will make another such short post as a tribute to Heer Kunwari / Harka Bai / Mariam-Uz-Zamani, when time permits.

Views are welcome. :)
