Making a post as a tribute to Akbar, as we are discussing Jodha Akbar in this thread.
The Format:
1. REAL Akbar..
2. REEL Akbar..
3. One track from the episode which i loved a lot due to it's historic importance..
REAL Akbar..
Writing about Akbar's mysticism and his views on religion, to the best of my knowledge and understanding.
I will try to sum up his thought process in as much short post as possible. One of the reasons, why i have NOT made a "conclusive post" TILL NOW about Akbar and his views on religion and mysticism is - The more i read, the more diverse views i get about his thinking. And, in turn, i turn to find answers of the new questions, leaving the older ones unexplored.!
I am struggling with myself and at times, i am left debating in my mind, about various actions and the reasons why Akbar took certain steps.
Read the views of Donjas, Devki, Charu, Radhika, Preeti and other about this issue on this thread. Hence the post.!
I have posted my views on the history sticky.

Note:
These were my personal views. :)
REEL Akbar..
One thing i would say that he is put life in the scenes and one can actually FEEL the power this man gives to the character. A role of a warrior will suit him a lot, as he can give that FORCE to the character he plays. Note any of his initial fight scenes of JA.
I can keep on writing many scenes.
But these are the ones which remain etched in my mind.
1.
I have enjoyed the episode when the Pilgrim Tax was removed. The dialogues he said were superb. I still remember the comment i made after the episode that time, last year.!
2.
Another one is his visit to the Dargah with Jodha after the marriage.
I love that Sufi song : Mak-un'tah Gakk'ul...~Behte Hue Paani par teri hi likhaee~
3.
The episode when Akbar comes after the Shah-i-Iran track from the war, and meets Jodha in Dargah. The BG Music and the atmosphere created by the Sufis in that shot was amazing. Gave a nostalgic feeling. Unable to express that in words...
One track from the episode which i loved a lot due to it's historic importance:
Though the makers did not show it as it should have been, considering the importance. But i was happy to write about this. So, no issues with the makers. Here also, i would thank them for at least touching this aspect. Had they not touched this event, at least i would not have dug up for myself.
Here are the LinkS.. I remember spending around a month reading & understanding what would have gone through Akbar's head ; and then writing about the Shah i Iran incident ..
{
VERY LONG posts : Shah i Iran Part-2 & Shah i Iran Part-1
}
I guess we all will agree, this show created a lot of interest regarding history among all of us.!
Yes Maybee who read History, Maybee in future, some will not read deep history, but
PS :
Will make another such short post as a tribute to Heer Kunwari / Harka Bai / Mariam-Uz-Zamani, when time permits.
Views are welcome. :)
